The global energy transition is a widespread phenomenon that requires international exchange of experiences and mutual ***’s success in its first phase of energy transition can be attributed to its adoption of smart energy technology and implementation of electricity futures and spot marketization,which enabled the achievement of multiple energy spatial–temporal complementarities and overall grid balance through energy conversion and reconversion *** China can draw from Germany’s experience to inform its own energy transition efforts,its 11-fold higher annual electricity consumption requires a distinct *** recommend a clean energy system based on smart sector coupling(ENSYSCO)as a suitable pathway for achieving sustainable energy in China,given that renewable energy is expected to guarantee 85%of China’s energy production by 2060,requiring significant future electricity storage ***,renewable energy storage remains a significant *** propose four large-scale underground energy storage methods based on ENSYSCO to address this challenge,while considering China’s national *** proposals have culminated in pilot projects for large-scale underground energy storage in China,which we believe is a necessary choice for achieving carbon neutrality in China and enabling efficient and safe grid integration of renewable energy within the framework of ENSYSCO.

Multiplex network infomax:Multiplex network embedding via information fusion

For networking of big data applications,an essential issue is how to represent networks in vector space for further mining and analysis tasks,e.g.,node classification,clustering,link prediction,and *** existing studies on this subject mainly concentrate on monoplex networks considering a single type of relation among ***,numerous real-world networks are naturally composed of multiple layers with different relation types;such a network is called a multiplex *** majority of existing multiplex network embedding methods either overlook node attributes,resort to node labels for training,or underutilize underlying information shared across multiple *** this paper,we propose Multiplex Network Infomax(MNI),an unsupervised embedding framework to represent information of multiple layers into a unified embedding *** be more specific,we aim to maximize the mutual information between the unified embedding and node embeddings of each *** the basis of this framework,we present an unsupervised network embedding method for attributed multiplex *** results show that our method achieves competitive performance on not only node-related tasks,such as node classification,clustering,and similarity search,but also a typical edge-related task,i.e.,link prediction,at times even outperforming relevant supervised methods,despite that MNI is fully unsupervised.

Sedimentary Environments of Cambrian-Ordovician Source Rocks and Ultra-deep Petroleum Accumulation in the Tarim Basin

The Tarim Basin is the only petroliferous basin enriched with marine oil and gas in *** is presently also the deepest basin for petroleum exploration and development in the *** are two main sets of marine Source Rocks(SRs)in the Tarim Basin,namely the high over-mature Cambrian-Lower Ordovician(∈-O_(1))and the moderately mature Middle-Upper Ordovician(O_(2-3)).The characteristic biomarkers of SRs and oils indicate that the main origin of the marine petroleum is a mixed source of∈-O_(1) and O_(2-3) *** increasing burial,the hydrocarbon contribution of the∈-O_(1) SRs gradually *** by the superposition of multi-stage hydrocarbon-generation of the SRs and various secondary alteration processes,the emergence and abnormal enrichment of terpenoids,thiophene and trimethylaryl isoprenoid in deep reservoirs indicate a complex genesis of various deep oils and *** the analysis of the biofacies and sedimentary environments of the∈-O_(1) and O_(2-3) SRs,it is shown that the lower Paleozoic high-quality SRs in the Tarim Basin were mainly deposited in a passive continental margin and the gentle slope of the platform,deep-water shelf and slope facies,which has exhibited a good response to the local tectonic-sedimentary *** slope of the paleo-uplift is the mutual area for the development of carbonate reservoirs and the deposition of marine SRs,which would be favorable for the accumulation of *** to the characteristics of low ground temperature,the latest rapid and deep burial does not cause massive oil-cracking in the paleo-uplift and slope ***,it is speculated that the marine reservoirs in the slope of the Tabei Uplift are likely to be a favorable area for deep petroleum exploration,while the oilcracking gas would be a potential reserve around the west margin of the Manjiaer *** were generated from various unit SRs,mainly migrating along the lateral unconformities or reservoirs and the

Reciprocal inhibition of expression between RAV1 and BES1 modulates plant growth and development in Arabidopsis

RAV1(Related to ABI3/VP1)is a plant-specific B3 and AP2 domain-containing transcription factor that acts as a negative regulator of growth in many plant *** expression of RAV1 is downregulated by brassinosteroids(BRs);large-scale transcriptome analyses have shown that the expression of RAV1 was previously targeted by BRI1-EMS-SUPPRESOR1(BES1)and BRASSINAZOLE-RESISTANT1(BZR1),which are critical transcription factors for the BR-signaling *** RAV1-overexpressing transgenic plants,we showed that RAV1 overexpression reduced the BR signaling capacity,resulting in the downregulation of BR biosynthetic genes and BES1 ***,we demonstrated that BES1,not BZR1,is directly bound to the RAV1 promoter and repressed RAV1 expression,and vice versa;RAV1 is also bound to the BES1 promoter and repressed BES1 *** mutual inhibition was specific to RAV1 and BES1 because RAV1 exhibited binding activity to the BZR1 promoter but did not repress BZR1 *** observed that constitutively activated BR signaling phenotypes in bes1-D were attenuated by the repression of endogenous BES1 expression in transgenic bes1-D plants overexpressing ***-sequencing analysis of RAV1-overexpressing transgenic plants and bes1-D mutant plants revealed differentially expressed genes by RAV1 and BES1 and genes that were oppositely co-regulated by RAV1 and ***1 and BES1 regulated different transcriptomes but co-regulated a specific set of genes responsible for the balance between growth and *** results suggested that the mutual inhibitory transcriptional activities of RAV1 and BES1 provide fine regulatory mechanisms for plant growth and development.

A Novel Resource Allocation Algorithm based on Downlink and Uplink Decouple Access Scheme in Heterogeneous Networks

Traditional cellular network requires that a user equipment(UE) should associate to the same base station(BS) in both the downlink(DL) and the uplink(UL). Based on dual connectivity(DC) introduced in LTE-Advanced R12, DL/UL decouple access scheme has been proposed, which is especially suitable for heterogeneous networks(Het Nets). This paper is the pioneer to take the DL/UL decouple access scheme into consideration and develop a novel resource allocation algorithm in a two-tier Het Net to improve the total system throughput in the UL and ease the load imbalance between macro base stations(MBSs) and pico base stations(PBSs). A model is formulated as a nonlinear integer programming, and the proposed algorithm is a sub-optimal algorithm based on the graph theory. First, an undirected and weighted interference graph is obtained. Next, the users are grouped to let users with large mutual interferences to be assigned to different clusters. Then, the users in different clusters are allocated to different resource blocks(RBs) by using the Hungarian algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can provide great promotions for both the total system throughput and the average cell edge user throughput and successfully ease the load imbalance between MBSs and PBSs.

Antifreeze proteins(AFPs)inhibit ice recrystallization by a mechanism remaining largely *** of AFPs’hydration water and its involvement in the antifreeze activity have not been identified *** herein,by simulation and theory,examined the water reorientation dynamics in the first hydration layer of an AFP from the spruce budworm,Choristoneura fumiferana,compared with a protein cytochrome P450(CYP).The increase of potential acceptor water molecules around donor water molecules leads to the acceleration of hydrogen bond exchange between water ***,the jump reorientation of water molecules around the AFP active region is *** to the mutual coupling and excitation of hydrogen bond exchange,with the acceleration of hydrogen bond exchange,the rearrangement of the hydrogen bond network and the frame reorientation of water are ***,the water reorientation dynamics of AFP is faster than that of *** results of this study provide a new physical image of antifreeze protein and a new understanding of the antifreeze mechanism of antifreeze proteins.

In recent years,with the advancement of geothermal heating engineering technology,the projects and scale of geothermal heating have continued to *** present,geothermal development and utilization projects are mostly researched on economic evaluation methods,main control factors of benefits and case analysis of project ***-evaluation of economic benefits can provide strong support for improving existing projects,adjusting projects under construction,and guiding proposed projects,but there are few studies on post-evaluation of economic benefits of completed geothermal heating *** order to improve the economic benefits of geothermal heating projects and change extensive management to intensive management,this paper studies the post-evaluation principles,methods and evaluation indicators of the economic benefits of hydrothermal geothermal heating projects,and take the geothermal water heating project of S community in Xianyang City as an example to carry out the post-evaluation research on economic *** research,it is suggested to carry out post-economic evaluation of geothermal utilization projects that have been completed and run for 3 to 5 *** order to do a good job in the post-evaluation of economic benefits,the evaluators should continue to track the progress of the project,collect and analyze various historical data in a timely manner,and select a variety of methods for prediction,comparison and mutual *** order to fully reflect the benefits of geothermal heating,the indirect benefit evaluation of energy conservation and emission reduction of geothermal heating projects will be strengthened in the future.

Achievements and Challenges Faced by the Belt and Road Energy Cooperation

Since General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed the Belt and Road Initiative in 2013,the Belt and Road energy cooperation has achieved fruitful results in the following five aspects:policy coordination,infrastructure connectivity,unimpeded trade,financial integration,and people-to-people *** back on the development over the past decade,the Belt and Road energy cooperation has witnessed mutual benefits and win-win results,openness and shared benefits,innovation and progress,and green and low-carbon *** the current context of energy transition and escalating energy geopolitical risks,high-quality energy cooperation is beneficial not only for ensuring the energy security of countries along the Belt and Road but also for promoting their green development and improving the well-being of their *** on the above understanding,the author has analyzed the following four major challenges faced by high-quality Belt and Road energy cooperation in the future:international politics,geopolitical risks,energy markets,and technological innovation,and put forward relevant suggestions from such five aspects as balance of development and security,incremental market and current market,traditional energy and new energy,technological progress and industrial upgrading,and China’s interests and the welfare of the people in resource-rich countries.

Regional variation of urban air quality in China and its dominant factors

It is of great theoretical and practical importance to carry out research on the spatio-temporal evolution of urban air pollution and its driving forces,which helps to facilitate a deeper understanding of the mutual feedback mechanisms between the urban environment and socio-economic *** of these mechanisms will contribute to the design and implementation of efficient environmental policies that ultimately will improve the quality of urbanization *** paper illustrates the spatio-temporal evolutionary characteristics of six urban ambient air pollutant concentrations,namely,CO,NO_(2),O_(3),PM_(10),PM_(2.5),SO_(2),in 286 sample cities above the prefecture level in China from 2014 to *** interactions between the pollutant concentrations are analyzed based on panel regression models.A random forest model is then employed to explore the correlations between the concentrations of these six pollutants and 13 natural and socio-economic impact factors to isolate the most crucial *** results reveal three ***,within the research period,the average annual concentration of O_(3)increased while that of other pollutants decreased year by ***,there were significant interactions between concentrations of the six pollutants,leading to obvious compound air pollution in urban ***,the impact of natural and socio-economic factors on urban air quality varied greatly among different air pollutants,with air temperature,vegetation coverage,urbanization level and traffic factors ranking high and the different response thresholds to the dominant influencing *** light of the limited ability of humans to control the natural environment and meteorological conditions,it is recommended that urban air quality be further improved by optimizing urban density,controlling anthropogenic emission sources,and implementing strict air pollution prevention and control measures.

Geological and surfacial processes and major disaster effects in the Yellow River Basin

The Yellow River Basin(YRB) is characterized by active geological and tectonic processes, rapid geomorphological evolution, and distinct climatic diversity. Correspondingly, major disasters in the YRB are characterized by varied types,extensive distributions, and sudden occurrences. In addition, major disasters in the YRB usually evolve into disaster chains that cause severe consequences. Therefore, major disasters in the YRB destroy ecologies and environments and influence geological and ecological safety in the basin. This paper systematically reviews research on geological and surface processes, major disaster effects, and risk mitigation in the YRB, discusses the trends and challenges of relevant research, analyzes the key scientific problems that need to be solved, and suggests prospects for future research based on the earth system science concept. Themes of research that should be focused on include geological, surface and climatic processes in the YRB and their interlinking disaster gestation mechanisms;formation mechanisms and disaster chain evolutions of giant landslides in the upper reach of the YRB;mechanisms and disaster chain effects of loess water-soil disasters in the middle reach of the YRB;occurrence patterns and amplifying effects of giant flood chains in the lower reach of the YRB;and risk mitigations of major disasters in the YRB. Key scientific problems that need to be solved are as follows: how to reveal the geological, surface and climatic processes that are coupled and interlinked with gestation mechanisms of major disasters;how to clarify the mutual feedback effects between major disasters and ecology;and how to develop a human-environmental harmony-based integrated risk mitigation system for major disasters. Prospects for future studies that follow the earth system science concept include the following: highlighting interdisciplinary research to reveal the interlinked disaster gestation mechanisms of the geology, surface and climate in the
