This study focuses on the casualty-load distribution problem that arises when a mass casualty incident(MCI)necessitates the engagement of multiple medical *** discrete event simulations,the study analyzed different MCI response regimes in Lahore,Pakistan,that vary in terms of the level of casualty-load distribution and the required coordination between the incident site and the responding *** terrorist attacks in this major metropolitan area were considered to set up experiments for comparing delays in treatment under the modeled *** analysis highlights that the number of casualties that are allowed to queue up at the nearest hospital before diverting the casualty traffic to an alternate hospital can be an important factor in reducing the overall treatment *** diverting the casualty traffic from the incident site to an alternate hospital can increase the travel time,while a delay in diversion can overload the nearest hospital,which can lead to overall longer waiting times in the *** casualty distribution mechanisms based only on the responding hospitals’available capacity and current load can perform inefficiently because they overlook the trade-off between the times casualties spend in traveling and in queues.

Increasing attention has been focused on the extent to which corporate political connections influence the growing pollution due to the rapid growth in the popularity of firm pollution in developing *** adopt a static threshold regression model to investigate the effects of heterogeneous environmental regulation on political connections and firm pollution based on the panel data from China’s A-share listed companies from 2012 to *** empirical results show a non-linear relationship between the degree of political connection of listed company executives and the level of firm *** the relationship between the two roughly presents a U-shaped relationship under the action of the marketincentive environmental regulation ***,it roughly presents an inverted n-shaped relationship under the action of the command-control environmental regulation ***,the group test results show that the existence of regional and ownership heterogeneity causes certain differences in the environmental behaviour of politically connected *** findings indicate that diverse environmental regulations are needed to promote sustainable green development and to further expand the theoretical and practical exploration of political connections on firm pollution.

A novel single-phase Sm^3+activated Ca5(PO4)2SiO4 phosphor was successfully fabricated via a conventional solid-state method,which can be e fficie ntly excited by near ultraviolet(n-UV)light-emitting *** crystal structure and luminescence properties were characterized and analyzed systematically by using relevant *** Ca5(PO4)2SiO4:Sm^3+phosphor shows an orange-red emission peaking at600 nm under the excitation of 403 nm and the optimal doping concentration of Sm^3+is determined to be 0.08,The critical distance of Ca5(PO4)2SiO4:0.08 Sm^3+is calculated to be 1.849 nm and concentration quenching mechanism of the Sm^3+in Ca5(PO4)2SiO4 host is ascribed to energy transfer between nearestneighbor *** decay time of Ca5(PO4)2 SiO4:0,08 Sm^3+is determined to be 1.1957 *** addition,the effect of temperature on the emission intensity was also studied,72.4%of the initial intensity is still preserved at 250℃,better thermal stability compared to commercial phosphor YAG:Ce^3+indicates that Ca5(PO4)2SiO4:0.08 Sm^3+has excellent thermal stability and active energy is deduced to be 0.130 *** the results demonstrate that orange-red emitting Ca5(PO4)2SiO4:0.08 Sm3+phosphor exhibits good luminescent *** to the excellent thermal quenching luminescence property,Ca5(PO4)2SiO4:0.08 Sm^3+phosphor can be applied in n-UV white light emitting diodes and serve as the warm part of white light.

We study the regularity of random attractors for a class of degenerate parabolic equations with leading term div（o（x）↓△u） and multiplicative noises. Under some mild conditions on the diffusion variable o（x） and without any restriction on the upper growth p of nonlinearity, except that p 〉 2, we show the existences of random attractor in D0^1,2（Dn, σ） space, where Dn is an arbitrary （bounded or unbounded） domain in R^n n 〉 2. For this purpose, some abstract results based on the omega-limit compactness are established.

The container loading problem (CLP) is a well-known nP-hard problem. Due to the computation complexity, heuristics is an often-sought approach. This article proposes two heuristics to pack homogeneous rectangular boxes into a single container. Both algorithms adopt the concept of building layers on one face of the container, but the first heuristic determines the layer face once for all, while the second treats the remaining container space as a reduced-sized container after one layer is loaded and, hence, selects the layer face dynamically. To handle the layout design problem at a layer's level, a block-based 2D packing procedure is also developed. numerical studies demonstrate the efficiency of the heuristics.

Purpose–With the development of economy,China’s OFDI constantly increase in recent ***,OFDI hasspillovereffe***,accurateOFDI prediction is a prerequisite for the effective development of international investment *** purpose of this paper is to predict China’s OFDI accurately using a novel multivariable grey prediction model with Fourier ***/methodology/approach–This paper applied a multivariable grey prediction model,GM(1,n),to forecast China’s *** order to improve the prediction accuracy and without changing local characteristics of grey model prediction,this paper proposed a novel grey prediction model to improve the performance of the traditionalGM(1,n)modelbycombiningwithresidualmodificationmodelusingGM(1,1)***–The coefficients indicate that the export and GDP have positive influence on China’s OFDI,and,according to the prediction result,China’s OFDI shows a growing trend in next five ***/value–This paper proposed an effective multivariable grey prediction model that combined the traditionalGM(1,n)modelwitharesidualmodificationmodelinordertopredictChina’*** of OFDI provides reference for the Chinese Government to implement international investment strategies.

Transfer active learning, which is an emerging learning paradigm, aims to actively select informative instances with the aid of transferred knowledge from related tasks. Recently, several studies have addressed this problem. However, how to handle the distributional differences betwee n the source and target domains remains an open problem. In this paper, a novel transfer active learning algorithm is proposed, inspired by the classical query by committee algorithm. Diverse committee members from both domains are maintained to improve the classification accuracy and a mechanism is included to evaluate each member during the iterations. Extensive experiments on both synthetic and real datasets show that our algorithm performs better and is also more robust than the state-of-the-art methods.
