With the worldwide growing interest and commercial value of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)industries and products,the protection issue of TCM knowledge is increasingly concerned by Chinese ***,we investigated the current situation and trend of TCM development and knowledge protection in China through accessing academic research tools including China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Data,VIP China Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP)and Google Scholar,analyzing the latest data released by National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine,China Statistical Yearbook of Chinese Medicine and China Statistical *** results demonstrate that current administration in China is continuing to support TCM development by increasing investment and expanding the scale in TCM research and *** increasing attention of Chinese scholars and government has led to laws and regulations issued more densely to strengthen TCM knowledge protection and promote fair use and fast development.

The establishment of equator principles is a landmark in the financial market and even in the history of fnancial development. As their extensive application in the market of project finance, equator principles have gradually become the industrial standard and international conventions of project finance. However, compared with traditional legislations, equator principles are norms of self-regulation without the involvement of national forces, and their general principles and legitimacy source definitely break a new path. The evolution of equator principles experienced three phases： emergence, popularity and internalization, and the attribute of advocates of regulations, during which the nature of regulations and the character of financial industry played key roles. Meanwhile, factors such as ＂power,＂ mutual benefits, co-determination, effectiveness and even internalization of regulations by international financial companies, constitute the ＂legitimacy＂ source of equator principles. Besides, pointing at the defect of ＂norms of self-regulation, ＇＂ advocates and practitioners endeavor to improve the ＂＇legitimacy＂ of equator principles.

The operating processes of boards of directors are delicate and complex, so corporate legislation cannot simply equate board structure law with board governance law. It is therefore necessary to start from China＇s actual conditions and grasp the operating processes of Chinese boards with a sober appreciation of the irrational elements in their operating mechanisms. Board governance has entered a new stage of institutionalization, and the law should shift from its emphasis on structure to give equal attention to structure and process in optimizing institutional structure. In the construction of board operating mechanisms, we should treat differently such ＂living laws＂ as customs, experiences and traditions, give full play to the functionality of boards＇ strategic choices, and provide legal regulation of irrational elements, so as to distinguish between different roles, develop consensus, select strong points and improve efficiency. We should build control over board operational procedures, improve the system of functional allocation, correct assessment mechanisms, develop a mechanism for judicial scrutiny of the affective relationships in society and curb such behavioral tendencies as relational identity, structural bias and group polarization, with a view to controlling such ＂living laws＂ within the framework of the basic values and principles of board governance.

Several disputes exist around Genetically Modified Organisms （GMOs）. This article uses the concept of biopolitics to refer to all the GMO-related political issues and the mechanisms that are used to handle them. As a world famous genetically modified crop developed for the welfare of humanity by public institutions, Golden Rice has on one hand won glories, whereas on the other met with criticisms. It could be used as an analytical model to illustrate the biopolitics of GMOs. On the basis of an overview of its technological background, this article first introduces the participants and the debated issues of the Golden Rice project and then the disputes between the supporters and opponents and consequently analyzes the biopolitics of the Golden Rice. In conclusion, this article justifies the biopolitics of the GMOs and its doctrine.

Train-induced vibration on elevated railway station

Results of in-situ vibration measurement carried out at Tianjin West Elevated Railway Station which has the trains running on the station structure were reported. The main excitation source is the train passing through the station. Vibration measurements were recorded in the vertical direction of the supporting track beam, the platform and the steel truss beam of the waiting hall, as well as in the vertical, longitudinal and transverse directions of the roof arch base of the station. Acceleration time responses were obtained. The maximum value, vibration level and one-third octave band RMS spectra of the measured accelerations were studied. The propagation of vibration in different structural floors was discussed. The influence of train speed, distance to the vibration source and the type of train on the structural vibration were analyzed. Results show that the vibration level increases with the train speed, while it attenuates with the distance to the track. Furthermore, the vibration responses of different structural floors were compared, and it is noted that the vertical vibration of the bottom slab of the platform is most severe and the transverse vibration of the roof arch base is the smallest. The results provide reference on the vibration characteristics and vibration energy distribution of this type of "Train on building frame" system used as an elevated railway station.

Magnesium titanate was prepared directly through external coal reduction of seashore titanomagnetite concentrate and magnesium oxide(MgO).The effects of roasting temperature and the type and dosage of reductants on the purity of generated magnesium titanate particles were systematically *** electron microscopy and energy-dispersive spectroscopy analyses were performed to characterize the magnesium titanate particles and observe their purity under different *** showed that the roasting temperature remarkably influenced the purity of magnesium *** 1200,1300,and 1400℃,some magnesium ferrite and magnesium aluminate spinel were dissolved in magnesium ***,as the roasting temperature increased to 1500℃,relatively pure magnesium titanate particles were generated because no magnesium ferrite was dissolved in *** type and dosage of the reductants also remarkably affected the purity of magnesium *** amount of fine metallic iron disseminated in the magnesium titanate particles obviously decreased when lignite was used as a reductant at a dosage of 70wt%.Thus,high-purity magnesium titanate particles *** a roasting temperature of 1500℃and with 70wt%lignite,the magnesium titanate product with a yield of 30.63%and an iron content of 3.01wt%was obtained through magnetic separation.

Although the TRIPS Agreement has provided common rules for the protection of intellectual property rights, countries at different levels of development have their own autonomous discourse rights in relation to the understanding and interpretation of intellectual property rights （IPR）. In a sense, this is also the ＂discourse power＂ of a country or people within the institutional arrangements of the IPR system. In China, IPR legal research has progressed in tandem with a deeper understanding of the nature of IPR and a growing recognition of autonomous discourse rights. Construction of an interpretative IPR theory that is supported by indigenous culture and tradition has become the common endeavor of IPR scholars. Chinese scholars have abandoned the blind faith that IPR are natural rights or the assertion that they are simply a policy tool. However, due to a lack of a shared discourse and consensus, irrational or even fiercely opposed views still exist among IPR scholars today. At times, such ＂dialogue failure＂ arises more from different value orientations, limited perspectives and logical differences than from differing academic viewpoints. This has somewhat hindered the overall starting up and smooth operation of the Chinese IPR system. In order to better implement the National intellectual property Strategy Program, to promote theoretical research on IPR under Chinese discourse, and to accelerate the establishment of an autonomous discourse system of IPR theory, we have organized this group of papers. Among them, Professor Xu Xuan from the College of intellectual property and law school at Jinan University proceeds from the assumption that the existing IPR system is an institutional arrangement based on equilibrium considerations and suggests that the methods of legal philosophy and dialectical logic be adopted to understand IPR intuitional arrangements.
