In this paper, the authors generalize the concept of asymptotically almost negatively associated random variables from the classic probability space to the upper expectation space. Within the framework, the authors prove some different types of Rosenthal's inequalities for sub-additive expectations. Finally, the authors prove a strong law of large numbers as the application of Rosenthal's inequalities.

The system of central discipline inspections has become a key anti-corruption governance tool in China since *** paper investigates the impact of a central discipline inspection of the China Securities Regulatory Commission(CSRC)on initial public offering(IPO)*** find that IPO firms listed during the inspection period exhibit greater IPO underpricing than those listed outside the inspection *** reason is the increased focus of the CSRC on maintaining capital market stability,which makes it more inclined to approve IPO firms with lower issue prices during the inspection period compared with other *** also find that IPO firms listed during the inspection period have better short-term market performance but poorer long-term returns than those listed outside the inspection ***,the effect of the anti-corruption inspection on IPO underpricing is more pronounced for non-state-owned enterprises,firms with low-quality auditors and firms located in regions with high ***,our paper enriches the literature on IPO underpricing and the economic consequences of the central discipline inspection system.

Competition is the catalyst of corporate innovation,which is the foundation of a country's core *** the view of vertical industrial chain,this paper examines how downstream competition affects upstream firms'innovation *** innovation helps reduce the production cost of each product,increasing demand of intermediate products caused by downstream competition enhances the marginal revenue of upstream firms'innovation,thus leading to an innovation incentive *** identify causality,we utilize China's WTO accession,a quasinatural experiment,to calculate downstream competition combined with import tariff reduction and input-output table,and then run a difference-in-difference *** the data of Annual Survey of Industrial Firms and State Intellectual Property Office,our results find that downstream competition has a significantly positive impact on upstream firms'innovation,and this effect is more pronounced in firms with less industry competition,greater initial innovation capacity and weaker financial ***,the number of firms,the degree of industry competition and the scale of intermediate products in the downstream sector increase,confirming the market size *** sum,our findings document that downstream competition can motivate upstream firms to innovate through vertical industrial chain,providing some useful insights for China to build a fair market competition environment and promote innovation-driven growth regime.

We study the properties of the Lasso in the high-dimensional partially linear model where the number of variables in the linear part can be greater than the sample *** use truncated series expansion based on polynomial splines to approximate the nonparametric component in this *** a sparsity assumption on the regression coefficients of the linear component and some regularity conditions,we derive the oracle inequalities for the prediction risk and the estimation *** also provide sufficient conditions under which the Lasso estimator is selection consistent for the variables in the linear part of the *** addition,we derive the rate of convergence of the estimator of the nonparametric *** conduct simulation studies to evaluate the finite sample performance of variable selection and nonparametric function estimation.

Background:Anti-poverty has always been an important issue to be *** policies should be selected to help individuals escaping from the poverty trap:by directly offering transfer payments or indirectly providing public services?This paper is among the first to explore the effects of public anti-poverty programs system in ***:We Using unbalanced panel data of China Health and Nutrition Survey(CHNS)from 1989 to 2009,we demonstrate how the individual poverty status is determined through a four-staged simultaneous *** choose the 3SLS(Three Staged Linear Squared)methodology to do the ***:GTPs(Government Transfer Payments)don’t have positive effects on poverty *** results demonstrate that GTPs increasing by 10%makes private transfer payments decrease by 3.9%.Meanwhile,GTPs increasing by 10%makes the household income decreased by 27.1%.However,public services(such as medical insurance,health services,hygiene protection etc.)have significantly positive impacts on poverty *** services share a part of living cost of the poor,and are conducive for people to gain higher household ***:GTPs given by governments are not effective in reducing the poverty,as a result of“crowd-out effect”and“inductive effect”.However,public services are suggested to be adopted by governments to help the poor out of the poverty trap.

We consider the conserved charge of static black holes with squashed horizons in the Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory via both the Abbott-Deser-Tekin （ADT） method and its off-shell generalization. We first make use of the original ADT method to compute the mass of the dilaton squashed black holes in terms of three different reference spacetimes, which are the asymptotic geometry, the flat background and the spacetime of the Kaluza- Klein monopole with boundary matched to the original metric, respectively. Each mass satisfies the first law of black hole thermodynamics, although the mass computed on the basis of the boundary matching the Kaluza- Klein monopole is different from that of the other two reference spacetimes. Then the mass of the black holes is evaluated through the off-shell generalized ADT method.

While the procurement of state enterprises is one of the most contentious issues for China＇s GPA accession negotiation, the regulation on such procurement is also of concerns under domestic law. From the Chinese domestic perspective, this Article first analyses the extent to which the procurement of state enterprises is regulated by national, ministerial, as well as firm-level procurement rules. On that basis, the incentives for adopting a principled approach to regulating such procurement are explored, such as value for money, preventing corruption, and fighting against local protectionism. A brief suggestion is made regarding the consolidation of the existing rules in the context of complicated underlying institutional framework.
