The cyclic voltammetry(CV) and the square wave technique were used for the investigations of thallium(Ⅰ) underpotential deposition(UPD) on the silver electrode. A solution of 10 \{mmol/L\} HClO 4+10 mmol/L NaCl was selected as the supporting electrolyte. The calibration plots for Tl(Ⅰ) concentration in the range of 2×10 -9 -1×10 -7 mol/L were obtained. The detection limit was 5×10 -10 mol/L. For the solutions of 4 0×10 -9 mol/L thallium added before the urine sample pretreatment procedure, the average recovery was 105 6% with a relative standard deviation(RSD) of 15 5%.

A study was carded out at the Loess Plateau in Dongzhi, China, to test the feasibility of using secondary treatment sewage effluent and to determine whether the water quality would then meet the recommended irrigation norm. Seven crops, including celery, wheat, maize, millet, apples, rapeseed and yellow beans, were tested in the study. Physical and chemical properties of the soil, crop yield and quality and leachate at different soil depths were measured. In most cases, the quality of the crops that made use of treated sewage was not distinctively different from those that did not use treated sewage. However, yields for the former were much higher than they were for the latter. Leachates at different soil depths were analyzed and the results did not show alarming levels of constituents. For a period of approximately 14 months, the treated sewage irrigation had no significant effect on the loess soil and no cases of illness resulting from contact with the treated sewage were reported. With treated sewage irrigation, a slight increase in the organic content of the soil was observed.

Using the perturbation method, the modified variable coefficient Kadomtsev- Petviashvili （MKP） equation governing nonlinear （lust acoustic solitary waves is for the first time derived with the combined effects of adiabatic dust charge fluctuation and higher-order transverse perturbation in inhomogeneous dusty plasmas due to the spatial gradients of dust charge and plasma densities. The MKP equation is reduced to the standard Kadomtsev-Petviashvili （KP） equation. The numerical results show that inhomogeneity has strong influence on the nonlinear properties of dust acoustic solitary waves.

Twelve peptides, including eight conservative amino acid residues in the amino acid sequence of hydrophilic S helix of the alternative oxidase (AOX), were synthesized by solid-phase method. The polypeptide was coupled with α-chymotrypsinogen, and the antibodies were obtained through immunizing domestic rabbit by injecting this complex. By using these antibodies, which were raised to immunoreact with total proteins of purified mitochondria from different organs of mung bean seedlings, we find that there are two hybridizable AOX bands in mitochondria. Their molecular weights are about 35 and 38 ku, respectively. Moreover, the respiratory parameters of hypocotyl, true leaf and cotyledon of mung bean seedlings show that true leaf has the highest total respiration (Vt), alternative pathway (AP) capacity (Valt) and the activity of AP (ρValt) among the three organs. Vt and ρValt of cotyledon ranked the second. Hypocotyl has the lowest V, and ρValt, but its Valt is higher than that of cotyledon. These results are consistent with the analysis of Western blotting of expression of AOX. The highest Vt and ρValt in true leaf are accompanied two hybridizable polypeptides of AOX protein, 35 ku and 38 ku respectively. The next is cotyledon Vt and ρValt with only one 38 ku hybridizable polypeptide of AOX protein. Hypocotyl Vt and ρValt is the lowest and its immunoblotting band is similar to that of cotyledon, but the expressive amount of 38 ku protein is less than that of cotyledon. The results suggest that the 35 ku AOX may contribute mainly to true leaf ρValt.

We investigate the nonlinear Landau-Zener tunnelling of Bose-Einstein condensate （BEC） in an accelerating optical lattice with two- and three-body interactions between the particles. The influence of the three-body interaction on the eigenstates and the transition probability are discussed both anaJytically and numerically. The analytical eigenstates and the tunnelling probability are obtained, which are verified by numerical methods. It is shown that the eigenstates and the tunnelling probability are modified dramatically by three-body interaction.

Graphene/mono-(6-amino-6-deoxy)-β-cyclodextrin multilayer films composed of graphene sheet(GS)and mono-(6-amino-6-deoxy)-β-cyclodextrin(NH_(2)-β-CD)were fabricated easily by two ***,negatively charged graphene oxide(GO)and positively charged mono-(6-amino-6-deoxy)-β-cyclodextrin(NH_(2)-β-CD)were layer-by-layer(LBL)self-assembled on glassy carbon electrode(GCE)modified with a layer of poly(diallyldimethylammo-nium chloride)(PDDA).Then graphene/mono-(6-amino-6-deoxy)-β-cyclodextrin(GS/NH_(2)-β-CD)multilayer films were built up by electrochemical reduction of graphene oxide/mono-(6-amino-6-deoxy)-β-cyclodextrin(GO/NH_(2)-β-CD).Combining the high surface area of GS and the active recognition sites onβ-cyclodextrin(β-CD),the GS/NH_(2)-β-CD multilayer films show excellent electrochemical sensing performance for the detection of DA with an extraordinary broad linear range from 2.53 to 980.05μmol•L^(−1).This study offers a simple route to the controlla-ble formation of graphene-based electrochemical sensor for the detection of DA.

Rare earth effect on the microstructure and tribological properties of FeNiCr coatings

FeNiCr alloys with various amounts of La2O3 powders were thermally sprayed onto steel *** probe microscopy analysis （EPMA）,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）,and an Optimol SRV oscillating friction and wear tester in a ball-on-disc contact configuration were employed to investigate the properties of the sprayed *** results show that rare earth can refine the microstructure effectively and make the element distribution uniform,which leads to the improvement in the properties of the ***,the wear rate of the FeNiCr alloy with 1.5% La2O3 is smaller than those of the other ***,the rare earth can reduce the friction coefficient and act as a self-lubricant in the oxide debris layer formed on the worn surface in *** wear mechanism of the coatings is oxidation wear,and a large amount of counterpart material is transferred to the coatings.

Ribosome profiling(Ribo-Seg)enables genome-wide survey of translational activities at nucleotide resolution by enriching and sequencing ribosome-protected fragments(RPFs)in the cell(Ingolia et al.,2009).Based on the characteristic distribution of RPFs in Ribo-Seq,such as enrichment in open reading frames(ORFs)and three-nucleotide periodicity,many computational methods have been developed to detect translated ORFs from Ribo-Seq data(Wang et al.,2020a).
