Ethylene carbonate(EC)is the conventional and promising solvent to achieve high energy lithium metal ***,the innate low energy level of lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)in EC makes it incompatible with lithium metal,causing uncontrolled lithium growth and low Coulombic efficiency(CE).Herein,we introduced bis(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)carbonate(TFEC),a carbonate with a strong electron-withdrawing effect(-CF_(3)),which enhances the stability of EC at electrode interface by reducing ion-dipole interactions between Li^(+)and *** the interaction between Li and EC weakens,TFEC and more PF_(6)^(-)anions coordinate with Li^(+),promoting the formation of contact ion pairs(CIPs)and aggregates(AGGs),thereby increasing the inorganic composition within the solid electrolyte ***,the distinct solvated sheath structure favors the decomposition of fluorinated solvents and PF_(6)^(-)anions,forming inorganic-rich electrode-electrolyte interfaces(SEI and CEI),thereby ensuring high stability for both the Li anode and high-voltage ***,when applied in the full-cell Li||LiMn_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)PO_(4),it displays consistent cycling performance,exhibiting minimal capacity decay with a retention rate of 62.5%after800 cycles,substantially surpassing that of cells using base electrolytes(29.8%).

The successful control of hydrocarbon and CO emissions from low-temperature diesel exhausts requires the use of highly active co-oxidation *** this study,Sn was used to enhance the catalytic performance of Pd/CeO2in CO and C3H6co-oxidation ***2with added stannum（Sn） was prepared as a support using the co-precipitation method,and Pd was loaded onto the support using the impregnation *** Sn addition（the optimal Ce/Sn ratio is 0.75:0.25）,the T50values of CO and C3H6are reduced by 20 and 32℃,respectively.A series of characterization methods indicates that the addition of Sn to the support greatly enhances its lattice oxygen mobility and increases the proportion of *** the co-oxidation process,stronger lattice oxygen mobility allows CO to react faster through the Mars-van Krevelen mechanism,weakening the competition with C3H6for O2.A higher PdO content enhances the C3H6oxidation ***,CO can more readily reduce PdO than Pd2+in solid solution with the support,which consequently further enhances co-oxidation ***,the addition of Sn is a simple and effective strategy for enhancing the performance of Pd/CeO2catalysts in CO and C3H6co-oxidation ***,the promotional effect of CO achieved in this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the interactions that occur during the co-oxidation of C3H6and CO.

Molecular constructs define the elementary units in porous materials for efficient CO_(2)*** design of appro-priate interpore and intermolecular space is crucial to stabilize CO_(2)molecules and maximize the *** the molecular construct usually has a fixed dimension,whether its inter-molecular space could be self-adjustable during CO_(2)capture and release,behaving as a balloon,has captured *** we report a flexible intermolecular space of the double chain structure of self-assembled 1,4-pheny-lene diisocyanide(PDI)molecules on Ag(110)surface,which dynamically broadens and recovers during the CO_(2)capture and *** incipient PDI double chains organize along the[001]direction of Ag(110),in which individual PDI molecules stand up in a zigzag order with the interchain width defined by twice the Ag lattice distance along_([110])direction(2α_([110])).When CO_(2)molecules are introduced,they assemble to occupy the interchain spaces,expanding the interchain width to 3α_([110]),4α_([110])and 5α_([110]):Warming up the sample leads to the thermally-driven CO_(2)desorption that recovers the original interchain ***-resolution scanning tunneling microscopy(STM)jointly with density functional theory(DFT)calculations determine the structural and electronic interactions of CO_(2)molecules with the dynamical PDI structures,providing a molecular-level perspective for the design of a self-adjustable metal-organic construct for reversible gas capture and release.

Carbody sway behaviour of railway vehicles due to track irregularity from rail alternate side wear

Track irregularity from rail alternate side wear is manifested as uneven rail wear waveforms alternating in the left and right rails with equal intervals,which will cause carbody sway behaviour of railway vehicles and greatly influences the passenger *** this work,the carbody sway behaviour and mechanism due to track irregularity from rail alternate side wear and possible solutions to this issue were studied by the field testing and numerical calculation ***,the carbody sway of an urban rail transit train is introduced with full-scale field tests,through which the rail alternate side wear is characterized and the formatted track irregularity are ***,multibody vehicle dynamic models are developed to reproduce the carbody sway behaviour induced by the track irregularity from the rail alternate side *** creep forces acting on the wheel and rail are preliminarily discussed to study the influence of the carbody sway on the wear of the wheel flange and the rail ***,some potential solutions,*** the damping ratio of carbody rigid mode and rail grinding,are proposed to relieve this *** is concluded that an increased damping ratio of the carbody mode can alleviate the carbody sway and wheel–rail interactions,while properly maintaining track conditions can improve the vehicle performance.

Identification and characterization of genes involved in the jasmonate biosynthetic and signaling pathways in mulberry(Morus notabilis)

Jasmonate （JA） is an important phytohormone regulating growth, development, and environmental response in plants, particularly defense response against herbivorous insects. Recently, completion of the draft genome of the mulberry （Morus notabilis） in conjunction with genome sequencing of silkworm （Bombyx mori） provides an opportuni-ty to study this unique plant-herbivore interaction. Here, we identified genes involved in JA biosynthetic and signaling pathways in the genome of mulberry for the first time, with the majority of samples showing a tissue-biased expression pattern. The analysis of the representative genes 12-oxophy-todienoic acid reductase （OPRs） and jasmonate ZIM-domain （JAZs） was performed and the results indicated that the mulberry genome contains a relatively smal number of JA biosynthetic and signaling pathway genes. A gene encoding an＆amp;nbsp;important repressor, MnNINJA, was identified as an alternative splicing variant lacking an ethylene-responsive element binding factor-associated amphiphilic repression motif. Having this fundamental information wil facilitate future functional study of JA-related genes pertaining to mulberry-silkworm interactions.

Rice fields are ecosystems with many types of plants, microbes, invertebrates, birds and animals. The rice farming protects the biodiversity of the region and maintains the ecosystem for the benefit of environment. Some rice varieties release biocidal allelochemicals which might affect major weeds, microbial and pathogenic diversity around rice plants, even soil characteristics. A large number of compounds such as phenolic acids, fatty acids, indoles and terpenes have been identified in rice root exudates and decomposing rice residues, as putative allelochemicals which can interact with surrounding environment. Since these allelopathic interactions may be positive, they can be used as effective contributor for sustainable and eco-friendly agro-production system. Genetic modification of crop plants to improve their allelopathic properties and enhancement of desirable traits has been suggested. Development of crops with enhanced allelopathic traits by genetic modification should be done cautiously, keeping in view of the ecological risk assessment(non-toxic and safe for humans and ecosystem, crop productivity, ratio of benefit and cost, etc.).

The South Atlantic Anomaly represents a region within near-Earth space characterized by a significantly weaker geomagnetic field and a higher flux of energetic particles compared to other areas. It is a space weather hazards to Low-EarthOrbit satellites. There has been evidence that the Very Low Frequency(VLF) waves from the powerful ground VLF radio transmitter in Australia, known as NWC, have the capacity to scatter energetic electrons' pitch angle in the inner radiation *** scattering directs electrons into the drift loss cone, forms a “wisp”, characterized by its peak intensity outside the South Atlantic Anomaly(SAA), and a “rift” exhibiting minimal intensity within SAA. Our findings mark the initial observation of a“wisp” precipitation, an unusual occurrence with peak intensity detected inside the SAA, observed via the Macao Science Satellite-1. Enabled by the Medium-energy Electron Spectrometer onboard Macao Science Satellite-1, we were able to comprehensively measure the full pitch angle distribution at Low-Earth-Orbit. This allowed us to attribute the “wisp” within the anomaly to a specific pitch angle range just outside the drift loss cone, a measurement unattainable by previous satellites. This“wisp” occurrence aligns with previous model predictions, despite being overlooked. Moreover, we distinguished between the trapped and precipitating electron populations. Directly derived from the ratio of these populations, our analysis revealed that approximately 2%-5% of trapped electrons will be lost in this specific wisp due to the influence of the ground VLF *** results not only complement existing evidence of energetic electron pitch angle scattering facilitated by the ground VLF transmitter but also offer a quantitative estimation of its impact.

Facet-Dependent Growth of Pd particles on Polar Surfaces of ZnO

Researching the dispersion as well as the stability of metals on the oxide surfaces is essentially important for understanding the interaction mecha-nisms at the metal/oxide interfaces and thus optimizing the activities of the heterogeneous *** in this work,we have investigated the growth behavior of Pd particles on the polar surfaces of ZnO with scanning tunneling microscopy(STM).By systematically varying the coverages as well as the annealing temperatures,we found that at room temperature Pd tends to form three-dimensional(3D)round particles on the ZnO(000)surface but grow into monolayer two-dimensional(2D)hexagonal islands on the ZnO(0001)*** annealing processes,the Pd particles on ZnO(000)aggregate gently while maintaining the 3D morphology in the mild temperature range but then quickly transform in-to tall hexagonal islands at elevated *** contrast,the segregation of Pd islands on ZnO(0001)occurs gradually along with the temperature rising without changing the 2D *** results directly reflect the different interaction strengths of Pd on the dis-tinct ZnO polar *** also provide important input for understanding the facet-de-pendent catalytic mechanisms of the Pd/ZnO catalytic systems.
