We present a microwave-assisted one-pot polymerization with three-components of alkynes, aldehydes and amines for the synthesis of new amino-functionalized optoelectronic polymers. The polymerization of diynes （la-lc）, dialdehydes （2a and 2b） and dibenzylamine catalyzed by InC13 was carried out smoothly within 1 h under microwave radiation, yielding four soluble polymers with high molecular weights. The resulting polymers P1 and P2 could be easily dissolved in alcohol and thus utilized as the cathode interlayer for polymer solar cells （PSCs）. Compared with the control device, the PSCs with P1 and P2 as the cathode interlayer and PTB7-Th：PC71BM as the photoactive layer exhibited significantly higher power conversion efficiencies （PCEs） of 9.49% and 9.16%, respectively. These results suggest that this polycoupling reaction is an efficient approach to construct three-component polymers for the practical applications.

This paper reports on the writing of long period gratings （LPGs） in a six-ring pure silica solid core, and large mode area photonic crystal fiber （fiber core diameter p = 10.1 μm） using a CO2 laser system, and the characterization of their strain and temperature sensitivities. Temperature and strain sensitivities in the order of-19.6pm/℃ and -88 pm/με, respectively, were obtained, which were comparable or surpassed values of the similar photonic crystal fiber （PCF）-based LPG or sensor configurations found in the literature.

We show the necessity of leaving out the approximation of constant average electron energy in many fluid models. For this purpose a one-dimensional self-consistent model for He atmospheric barrier discharges is developed. With this model, the electron energy distribution function in the atmospheric pressure glow discharge is obtained without introducing much difficulty, and the new model is readily implemented for investigating discharges in complicated gases.

Atomically thin two-dimensional （2D） layered materials have potential applications in nanoelectronics, nanophoton- ics, and integrated optoelectronics. Band gap engineering of these 2D semiconductors is critical for their broad applications in high-performance integrated devices, such as broad-band photodetectors, multi-color light emitting diodes （LEDs）, and high-efficiency photovoltaic devices. In this review, we will summarize the recent progress on the controlled growth of composition modulated atomically thin 2D semiconductor alloys with band gaps tuned in a wide range, as well as their induced applications in broadly tunable optoelectronic components. The band gap engineered 2D semiconductors could open up an exciting opportunity for probing their fundamental physical properties in 2D systems and may find diverse applications in functional electronic/optoelectronic devices.

A two-dimensional electromagnetic Particle-in-Cell （PIC） simulation model is proposed to study the propagation of intense, ion beams with beaIn width wb small compared to the electron skin depth c/wpe through background plaslnas in tile presence of external applied magnetic fields. The effcctive eleetron gyrora,dius wge is found to be an important parameter for ion beam transport in the presence of magnetic fields,In the bealn regions, the background plasmas respond differently to the ion beanl of width wb〈wge and wb 〉 wge for the given magnetic field and beaan encrgy, For the case of beam width wb 〈 wge with relative weak external magnetic fiehts, the rotalion effects of plasma electrons a,re found to be signifieant and contributes to the signitica,nt enilaneeinent of the self electric and seif-magnetic fields. While for the ease of beam width wb 〉 wge with relative strong external magnetic fields, the rotation effects of plasma cleetrons are strongly inhibited and a, well neutraliza, tion of ion beam current can be found. Finally, the influences of diftiuent beam widths. beam energies and magnetic fields on the neutralization of ion bc, anl eurrellt are summarized for the eases of wb 〈 wge〈 c/wpe,wge 〈wb〈c/wbp and wb〈c/wpe〈wge.

Propagation properties of coherent and partially coherent beams in atmospheric turbulence are investigated respectively by using numerical simulation It is found that a partially coherent beam has a spreading larger than a coherent beam. However, from the point view of relative beam spreading and intensity scintillation, a partially coherent beam is less affected than the corresponding coherent beam, which may be the most important virtue of partially coherent beams that could be utilized to improve the performance of laser engineering. The beam wandering is almost independent of the degree of the source coherence. More aperture averaging occurs when beam becomes more coherent.

We have set up a new reduced model Hamiltonian for the polariton system, in which the nonlinear interaction contains the rotating term k l （ a ＋ b ＋ ab＋） and the attractive two-mode squeezed coupling - k2 （ a ＋ b＋＋ ab ） . The dynamical evolution of this system has been solved and the nonclassical features relevant to the second-order and high-order squeezing have been obtained in an analytical form. For the first time, in contrast to the existing result, we have confirmed for the phonon field that the attractive two-mode squeezed interaction will not only result in the second-order and high-order squeezing in X-component with the time evolution, but also in time average. Furthermore, the phenomena of collapse and revival of inversion will occur as well in the time evolution of the average number of photon and phonon, as also in the second-order and high-order squeezing of photon field, particularly, in the high-order squeezing of phonon field.

The understanding of light-matter interaction within micro-cavity lays the basic groundwork for many future photon-related technologies and applications. We prepared low quality metal-insulator-metal（MIM） micro-cavity consisting massive two-level broad absorption band dye（Nile Red） excitons, which randomly dispersed in SU-8 polymer negative resist matrix and measured their optical characteristics. New binate transmission peaks with large energy separation（so-called Rabi-splitting phenomenon） and their angular anti-crossing behavior in con- sequence of the interaction between dye excitons and confined photons were observed. It was also confirmed that the separated energy can be tuned by changing the doped exciton concentrations. Time-resolved transient absorption measurements showed that such an interaction is indeed a coherent one but rather a strong coupling one and one can modulate such a coherent mechanism by easily adjusting the detuinng between dye excitons and confined cavity photons. This work may provide a comprehensive and deep understanding for such massive broad absoprtion band excitons-doped MIM micro-cavities and represent a further step to realize optical cavity-modulated devices in future.

Irradiation of cyclohexyl phenyl ketone （1） results in either intra- or intermolecular hydrogen abstraction to af- ford compounds 1-phenylhept-6-en-l-one （2） and a-cyclohexyl benzyl alcohol （3） as photoproducts, in which 3 has a pair of enantiomers. Herein, two types of chiral hexagonal liquid crystals were prepared to direct the enantioselec- tive photochemical reaction of 1. One of the hexagonal liquid crystals is composed of 1-tetradecyl-3-methyl- imidazolium bromide/p-xylene/H2O with the modification by a chiral inductor. The other one is formed by chiral （S）-3-hexadecyl-1-（1-hydroxy-propan-2-yl）-imidazolium bromide/p-xylene/H2O. The product analysis shows that the latter one can be used as a microreactor to achieve stereoselective photochemical reaction, while the former one produced compound 3 with no enantioselectivity at all.

Metal-coated fiber Bragg grating（FBG）temperature sensors were prepared via electroless nickel（EN）plating and tin electroplating methods on the surface of normal bare *** surface morphologies of the metal-coated layers were observed under a metallographic *** effects of pretreatment sequence,pH value of EN plating solution and current density of electroplating on the performance of the metal-coated layers were ***, the Bragg wavelength shift induced by temperature was monitored by an optical spectrum *** of the metal-coated FBG（MFBG）sensor was almost two times that of normal bare FBG *** measuring temperature of the MFBG sensor could be up to 280℃,which was much better than that of conventional FBG sensor.
