We studied the separation and recovery of copper(Ⅱ), nickel(Ⅱ), cobalt(Ⅱ), zinc(Ⅱ), and cadmium(Ⅱ) from magnesium and calcium, using synergistic solvent extraction(SSX) in a typical hydrometallurgical waste solution. A mixture of Versatic 10 acid and Mextral 984 H, diluted with Mextral DT100, was used to obtain fundamental data on p H and distribution isotherms, as well as the kinetics of extraction and stripping. We also investigated the main effects and interactions of common solvent extraction factors: the extraction p H at equilibrium, the temperature, and the extractant concentration. The synergistic effect for extracting metals was confirmed. The results showed that the addition of Mextral 984 H enhanced the separation factors of copper, nickel, cobalt,zinc, and cadmium over magnesium and calcium. Compared with Versatic 10 acid alone, for a mixture of0.5 mol·L^(-1) Versatic 10 acid/0.5 mol·L^(-1)Mextral 984 H, Δp H50 values of copper, nickel, cobalt, zinc, and cadmium were found to be N 2.0, 3.30, 2.85, 0.95, and 1.32 p H units, respectively. The Δp H_(50)(Zn–Mg)and Δp H_(50)(Zn–Ca)values were 3.27 and 2.25, respectively, indicating easy separation and recovery of copper, nickel, zinc, cobalt,and cadmium. The extraction and stripping of copper, cobalt, zinc, and cadmium were fast, with 90% of the metal transferred in 2 min. We next studied whether the metals could be stripped from the extracted liquid selectively in sequence, by using sulfuric acid at different concentrations. The influence of the molecular structure of the oxime and carboxylic acid components upon the synergistic effects was identified by numerical *** separation of copper, nickel, cobalt, and zinc over magnesium and calcium was achieved with this synergistic solvent extraction system.

The lap joint of T2 copper plate and 1060 pure aluminum plate was made by using the plasma arc welding method with adding Fe_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles in different *** research analysis found that the thickness of the IMC(intermetallic compound)and eutect-ic region decreased after the addition of nanoparticles due to its inhibitory *** the proportion of Fe_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles is 3%,the in-terface intermetallic compound layer is the ***,after this ratio is continuously increased,the inhibition effect is weakened by the agglomeration of nanoparticles,and the thickness begins to increase *** mechanical and electrical properties of the joint are mainly affected by the thickness of the IMC *** nanoparticles are agglomerated into large particles with high ***,the tensile strength and relative electrical conductivity of the joint are first increasing and then decreasing with the increase of nanoparticle *** the proportion of nanoparticles is 3%,the tensile strength and electrical conductivity are maximum.

In this work, low-grade copper sulfide mine has been treated by the bioleaching process using native cultures of Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans. The bioleaching experiments were carded out in shake flasks at pH 2.0, 180 ***^-1 and 30℃ for mesophilic bacteria The conductivity of copper bioleaching liquid was determined by the electric conductivity method at temperatures ranging from 298 K to 313 K. The ionic activity coefficients were estimated using Debye-Hucker and Osager-Falkenlagen equations. Meanwhile, the effects of temperature and concentrtion on the mean ionic activity coefficients were discussed. The relative partial molar free energies, enthalpies and entropies of copper teaching solution at above experimental temperatures were calculated. The behaviors of change of relative partial molar quantities were discussed on the basis of electrolytic solution theory. Simultaneously, the thermodynamic characters of bioleaching solution with and without mesophilic bacteria were compared. The existence of mesophilic bacteria changed the Fe^3＋/Fe^2＋ ratio, which resulted in the difference of ionic interaction. The experimental data show that the determination of the thermodynamic properties during the bioleaching processes should be important.

Microstnicture variation of spray-formed Si-30%Al alloy during densification process by hot pressing was studied. The results indicate that the microstnicture of as-deposited preforms is fine and homogenous. The primary silicon phases distributing in aluminium matrix evenly are fine and irregular. Aluminium matrix is divided into two groups: supersaturatedα-Al phase orα-Al phase and Al-Si pseudo-eutectic phase or Al-Si eutectic phase. During hot pressing, the primary silicon and the aluminium matrix realign as follows: the primary silicon fractures at a given compressive stress, the particles congregates in microzone with increasing stress, and the aluminium matrix flows and connects in harness. Al-Si pseudo-eutectic phase turns into Al-Si eutectic phase due to the diffusion of atoms during densification process.

A special thennat modeling tool, CrysVUn, which was developed by Crystal Growth laboratory （CGL） of Fraunhofer Institute of Integrated Systems and Devices Technology in Erlangen of Germany, was used for numerical analysis of growth interface situation. The heat transportation, argon flow and melt convection have been considered. Cauchy＇s first and second laws of motion have been the governing partial equations for stress calculation. The measurement results and simulation results were compared and the interface shape and thennat stress distribution during 300 mm Czochralski （CZ） silicon crystal growth with different growth rates were predicted.

In order to understand the effects of different content of copper vapor entering the arc plasma on the arc behavior,the tungstencopper materials with copper contents of 0%,10%,20%and 30%were made into special tungsten electrodes,which replaced the melting electrode to generate copper *** effects of different content of copper vapor on the arc morphology,arc voltage,arc pressure,current density and arc axial temperature were *** copper vapor was transported into the arc plasma,the arc consisted of two parts:a high brightness arc core and the surrounding green luminous *** the observation and measurement of the stabilized arc,the results showed that as the content of copper vapor increased,the radius of the greenish region gradually increased,the brightness and size of the core area gradually decreased,the axial temperature of the arc gradually decreased and arc voltage gradually increased with a maximum difference of 1.5 *** is because the increase of copper vapor concentration changes the net emission coefficient,resulting in a decrease in arc temperature and electrical *** distribution of arc pressure and current density showed unimodal distribution on the anode surface,and as the content of copper vapor increased,the distribution curves were gradually flattening.A factor contributing to this is that with the increase of copper vapor concentration,the current tends to flow through the edge of the electrode,which expands the conductive path and makes the arc *** the coupling mathematical model of tungsten electrode and arc were established to further explain the experimental results.

In order to improve the strip quality of continuous roll-casting process (CRP) of aluminum alloy, the investigations of the flow behavior within the metal pool, the heat transfer condition between roll and strip, the pouring temperature of molten alloy, the roll-casting speed and the control of the position of solidification final point are important. The finite volume method was applied to the analysis of the continuous roll-casting process. A two-dimensional incompressible non-Newtonian fluid flow with heat transfer was considered, which was described by the continuity equation, the Navier-Stokes equation and the energy equation. With this mathematical model, the flow patterns, temperature fields and solid fraction distributions in the metal pool between two rolls were simulated. From the calculated results, the effects of technical parameters to the position of solidification final point are obtained. The simulated results show that the roll-casting speed and pouring temperature have an enormous effect on the temperature distribution and the position of solidification final point.

Dynamic interfacial properties are investigated for solvent extraction systems of metals by organophosphoric or phosphonic acid. The relationship between interfacial properties and kinetic parameters shows that the dynamic interfacial properties are important to mass transfer processes in liquid-liquid extraction. The authors develop a two-film adsorption model which may offer a basis for researching interfacial activity in mass transfer processes.
