Analysis method and experimental study of ice accumulation detection signal based on Lamb waves

A quantitative identification method for in-flight icing has the capability to significantly enhance the safety of aircraft *** guided waves have the unique advantage of detecting icing in a relatively large area,but quantitative identification of ice layers is a *** this paper,a quantitative identification method of ice accumulation based on ultrasonic guided waves is ***,a simulation model for the wave dynamics of piezoelectric coupling in three dimensions is established to analyze the propagation characteristics of Lamb waves in a structure consisting of an aluminum plate and an ice *** wavelet transform method is utilized to extract the Time of Flight(ToF)or Time of Delay(ToD)of S_(0)/B_(1) mode waves,which serves as a characteristic parameter to precisely determine and assess the level of ice ***,an experimental system is developed to evaluate the feasibility of Lamb waves-based icing real-time detection in the presence of spray ***,a combination of the Hampel median filter and the moving average filter is developed to analyze ToF/ToD *** simulation results reveal a positive correlation between geometric dimensions(length,width,thickness)of the ice layer and ToF/ToD of B1 mode waves,indicating their potential as indicators for quantifying ice *** results of real-time icing detection indicate that ToF/ToD will reach greater peak values with the growth of the arbitrary-shaped ice layer until saturation to effectively predict the simulation *** study lays a foundation for the practical application of quantitative icing detection via ultrasonic guided waves.

Intranasal boosting with RBD-HR protein vaccine elicits robust mucosal and systemic immune responses

The emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)variants has decreased the efficacy of SARs-CoV-2 vaccines in containing coronavirus disease 2019(CoVID-19)over time,and booster vaccination strategies are urgently necessitated to achieve sufficient *** immunization can improvemucosal immunity,offer-ing protection against the infection and sustaining the spread of *** this study,an intranasal booster of the RBD-HR vaccine after two doses of the mRNA vaccine significantly increased the levels of specific binding antibodies in serum,nasal lavage fluid,and bronchoal-veolar lavage fluid compared with only two doses of mRNA *** intranasal boosting with the RBD-HR vaccine,the levels of serum neutralizing antibodies against prototype and variant strains of SARS-Cov-2 pseudoviruses weremarkedly higher than those in mice receiving mRNA vaccine alone,and intranasal boosting with the RBD-HR vaccine also inhibited the bind-ing of RBD to hACE2 ***,the heterologous intranasal immunization regimen promoted extensive memory T cell responses and activated CD103+dendritic cells in the respiratory mucosa,and potently enhanced the formation of T follicular helper cells and germinal center B cells in vital immune organs,including mediastinal lymph nodes,inguinal lymph nodes,and ***,these data infer that heterologous intranasal boosting with the RBD-HR vaccine elicited broad protective immunity against SARS-CoV-2 both locallyandsystemically.

An anti-icing scaling method for wind tunnel tests of aircraft thermal ice protection system

The efficiency of the aircraft Ice Protection Systems(IPSs)needs to be verified through icing wind tunnel ***,the scaling method for testing the IPSs has not been systematically established yet,and further research is *** the present study,a scaling method specifically designed for thermal IPSs was derived from the governing equation of thin water *** scaling parameters were adopted to address the heat and mass transfer involved in the thermal anti-icing *** method validation,icing wind tunnel tests were conducted using a jet engine nacelle model equipped with a bleed air *** non-dimensional surface temperature and runback ice closely matched for both the reference and scaled *** validation confirms that the scaling method is capable of achieving the similarity of surface temperature and the runback ice *** anti-icing scaling method can serve as an important supplement to the existing icing similarity theory.

Sensing the heavy water concentration in an H_(2)O-D_(2)O mixture by solid-solid phononic crystals

A new method based on phononic crystals is presented to detect the concentration of heavy water(D_(2)O)in an H_(2)O-D_(2)O *** have been obtained and analyzed in the concentration range of 0%-10%and 90%-100%D_(2)O.A proposed structure of tungsten scatterers in an aluminum host is *** order to detect the target material,a cavity region is considered as a sound wave resonator in which the target material with different concentrations of D_(2)O is *** changing the concentration of D_(2)O in the H_(2)O-D_(2)O mixture,the resonance frequency undergoes a frequency *** 1%change in D_(2)O concentration in the H_(2)O-D_(2)O mixture causes a frequency change of about 120 *** finite element method is used as the numerical method to calculate and analyze the natural frequencies and transmission spectra of the proposed *** performance evaluation index shows a high Q factor up to 1475758 and a high sensitivity up to 13075,which are acceptable values for sensing *** other figures of merit related to the detection performance also indicate high-quality performance of the designed sensor.

Cardiac conduction regulatory RNA(CCRR)has been documented as an antiarrhythmic lncRNA in our earlier *** study aimed to evaluate the effects of CCRR on SERCA2a and the associated Ca^(2+)homeostasis in myocardial infarction(MI).Overexpression of CCRR via AAV9-mediated delivery not only partially reversed ischemia-induced contractile dysfunction but also alleviated abnormal Ca^(2+)homeostasis and reduced the heightened methylation level of SERCA2a following *** effects were also observed in CCRR overexpressing transgenic mice.A conserved sequence domain of CCRR mimicked the protective function observed with the full ***,silencing CCRR in healthy mice led to intracellular Ca^(2+)overloading of *** increased SERCA2a protein stability by upregulating FTO *** direct interaction between CCRR and FTO protein was characterized by RNA-binding protein immunoprecipitation(RIP)analysis and RNA pulldown *** of NFATc3 was identified as an upstream mechanism responsible for CCRR downregulation in *** study demonstrates that CCRR is a protective lncRNA that acts by maintaining the function of FTO,thereby reducing the m^(6)A RNA methylation level of SERCA2a,ultimately preserving calcium homeostasis for myocardial contractile function in ***,CCRR may be considered a promising therapeutic strategy with a beneficial role in cardiac pathology.

research on the quasi-isentropic driving model of aluminized explosives in the detonation wave propagation direction

Taking CL-20(Hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane)-based aluminized explosives with high gurney energy as the research object, this research experimentally investigates the work capability of different aluminized explosive formulations when driving metal flyer plates in the denotation wave propagation *** research results showed that the formulations with 43 μm aluminum(Al) powder particles(The particle sizes of Al powder were in the range of 2~43 μm) exhibited the optimal performance in driving flyer plates along the denotation wave propagation direction. Compared to the formulations with Al powder 13 μm, the formulations with Al powder 2 μm delivered better performance in accelerating metal flyer plates in the early stage, which, however, turned to be poor in the later stage. The CL-20-based explosives containing 25% Al far under-performed those containing 15% Al. Based on the proposed quasi-isentropic hypothesis, relevant isentropy theories, and the functional relationship between detonation parameters and entropy as well as Al reaction degree, the characteristic lines of aluminized explosives in accelerating flyer plates were theoretically studied, a quasi-isentropic theoretical model for the aluminized explosive driving the flyer plate was built and the calculation methods for the variations of flyer plate velocity, Al reaction degree, and detonation product parameters with time and axial positions were developed. The theoretical model built is verified by the experimental results of the CL-20-based aluminized explosive driving flyer plate. It was found that the model built could accurately calculate the variations of flyer plate velocity and Al reaction degree over time. In addition, how physical parameters including detonation product pressure and temperature varied with time and axial positions was identified. With the development of satellite miniaturization and remote sensing,the establishment of microsatellite constellations is an inevitable *** to their limited size,weight,and power,spaceborne storage systems with excellent scalability,performance,and reliability are still one of the technical bottlenecks of remote sensing *** on the commercial off-the-shelf field-programmable gate array and memory devices,a spaceborne advanced storage system(SASS)is proposed in this *** work provides a dynamic programming,queue scheduling multiple-input multiple-output cache technique and a high-speed,high-reliability NAND flash controller for multiple microsatellite payload *** results show that SASS has outstanding scalability with a maximum write rate of 2429 Mb/s and preserves at least 78.53%of the performance when a single NAND flash *** scheduling technique effectively shortens the data scheduling time,and the data remapping method of the NAND flash controller can reduce the retention error by at least 50.73%and the program disturbance error by at least 37.80%.
