The influence of stress-dependent overpotential on dendrite growth in all-solid-state battery with cracks

Dendrite growth is one of the main challenges in maintaining the service life of all-solid-state lithium-ion *** stress has been reported to significantly affect dendrite *** this study,to explain the effect of mechanical stress on electrochemical reactions in all-solid-state batteries,a modified phase-field model for dendrite growth is proposed by considering the stress-dependent *** growth under different mechanical loadings in an all-solid-state battery is investigated using the proposed *** with previous experimental results,the current result shows that compressive stress inhibits dendrite *** the stress concentration at the tips of processing-induced microcracks,the effects of the number and distribution of microcracks on dendrite growth are *** results show that the stress-concentration field induced at the tips of cracks or voids can change the morphology of dendrites and decrease their growth *** study provides a new perspective for explaining Li dendrite growth under mechanical stress and offers inspiration for prolonging the service life of all-solid-state batteries based on defect and stress regulation,which may be further realized in experiments by filling solid electrolytes with different types of nanofillers.

A high-pressure laser ignition and combustion system with adjustable oxidizer gas atmosphere is established to investigate the ignition and combustion characteristics of boron-magnesium(BM)com-posite *** ignition and combustion model of BM powders is established and validated in the present *** results show that increasing water content,O_(2) content and Mg content all result in shorter ignition delay time of BM powders,among which the effect of water content is the most ***,ignition delay time increases as pressure *** combustion time decreases with increasing Mg content and ambient pressure but increases with water *** the increase of O_(2) content,combustion time of BM powders first increases and then decreases,which means a critical O_(2) content exists above which combustion time *** results show that there exists a trade-off between ignition and combustion performance of BM composite powders.

Improving the highly selective and sensitive binding of chemosensor to target guest is always very *** order to solve this issue,herein,the enrichment effect was introduced into the design of chemosensor molecule.A novel bi-fused-macrocyclic host molecule BPN1 was synthesized by bridging a pillar[5]arene and a naphthalene diimide(NDI)group through hydrogen-bond-rich *** the BPN1,the naphthalimide side ring is outside the cavity of the pillar[5]*** addition,Cr(VI)greatly threat human health and the environment due to its severe toxicity,and it is very important to develop effective chemosensor for sensitive and selective detection of Cr_(2)O_(7)^(2-)or its ion *** this paper,the novel bi-fused-macrocyclic host molecule BPN1 can recognize Cr_(2)O_(7)^(2-)with high selectivity and *** mechanism of BPN1 recognition of Cr_(2)O_(7)^(2-)was studied through experiments and density functional theory(DFT),the results show that BPN1 could supply enrichment effect to bind Cr_(2)O_(7)^(2-)through multiple weak interactions such as hydrogen bonds and anion-π,and achieve highly sensitive and selective detection of Cr_(2)O_(7)^(2-).It is a significant and feasible strategy for improve high selectivity and sensitivity of host to specific objects by using the enrichment effect of fused bi-macrocyclic.

Impacts of Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture on Phytoplankton in Sanggou Bay

Integrated multi-trophic aquaculture(IMTA)has been considered as an ecofriendly culture system providing a potential solution to environmental risks caused by intensive monoculture ***,the impact of IMTA on phytoplankton remains *** this study,the spatial and temporal variations of phytoplankton in Sanggou Bay were investigated seasonally based on 21 sampling sites covering three cultivation zones(bivalve zone,IMTA zone,and kelp zone)and one control zone(without aquatic cultivation).In total,128 phytoplankton species,with diatoms and dinoflagellates as the dominant groups,were obtained across the whole year,and the mean Shannon diversity index(H')and species richness(SR)were determined as 1.39 and 9.39,*** maximum chlorophyll a(Chl-a)(6.32μg L^(-1))and plankton diversity(H'of 1.97)occurred in summer and autumn,*** to other zones,the bivalve zone displayed significantly higher Chl-a and lower H'in majority of *** PERMANOVA analysis indicated that the phytoplankton assemblage in the bivalve zone was significantly different with the control and kelp zones,while the IMTA zone maintained close to other three *** on generalized additive models,temperature,NO_(2)^(-)-N,N/P ratio,SiO_(3)^(2-)-Si,and salinity were determined as the key factors underlying Chl-a and phytoplankton ***-tionally,the results of redundancy analysis further indicated that the phytoplankton assemblage in the bivalve zone is positively re-lated with nutrients such as NO_(3)^(-)-N and NH_(4)^(+)-N as well as water depth,while the phytoplankton assemblages in the kelp,control,and IMTA zones are associated with NO_(2)^(-)-N,SiO_(3)^(2-)-Si,and *** all observations into consideration together,it can be inferred that IMTA can effectively reduce Chl-a level compared to bivalve monoculture by reducing the ***,the SR,H’,and species composition of phytoplankton are primarily determined by local environment fa

Seismic performance and resilience of composite damping self-centering braced frame structures

Robust In-Zr Metal-Organic Framework Nanosheets as Ultrathin Interlayer Toward High-Rate and Long-Cycle Lithium-Sulfur Batteries

Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries have great potential as the next generation of high-energy-density storage ***,the practical viability of Li-S batteries is largely hampered by undesirable shuttling behavior and sluggish conversion kinetics of ***,a multifunctional separatormodified layer(In/Zr-BTB nanosheets)with the merits of robust structures and efficient catalytic metal sites has been ***/Zr-BTB nanosheets inherit the stable structure from Zr-BTB and strengthen the catalytic performance due to the introduction of highly catalytic species indium via metal-ion *** thickness and areal mass loading of the modified layer are only 260 nm and 0.011 mg/cm2,***,the ultrathin modification layers with efficient catalytic species,compact structures,and uniform pore channels can realize fast Li+transport,effective polysulfide interception,and rapid catalytic ***,the In/Zr-BTB@PP cell with a high sulfur content of 80 wt%could maintain high capacity retention of 85.6%with a low capacity fading rate of 0.048%per cycle after 300 cycles even at a high current rate of 2 *** work opens a new door toward the design of versatile metal-organic framework(MOF)nanosheets and multifunctional separators for high-energy-density Li-S batteries.

The impregnation method in the preparation of metal cluster catalysts typically inadvertently introduces single atoms（SAs） into the substrate. However, the question of whether the introduction of SAs will further improve the catalytic activity of cluster systems for specific reactions such as the hydrogen oxidation reaction（HOR） remains unraveled. Herein, we demonstrate Ru clusters anchored on WN nanowires（RuC/WN） show a higher alkaline HOR catalytic activity in comparison with Ru SAs and nanoclusters（NCs）-coupled catalyst anchored on WN nanowires system（RuC,S/WN）. Notably, the RuC/WN exhibits superb intrinsic catalytic activity with a mass-normalized exchange current density of 890 m A mg-1PGM, which is among the top level of well developed Ru-based HOR catalysts. Both theoretical simulation and experimental investigation suggest that RuC/WN owns an optimized H*and OH*reaction intermediates for the alkaline HOR, therefore resulting in the excellent intrinsic HOR catalytic performance.

Assessing the range of blasting-induced cracks in the surrounding rock of deeply buried tunnels based on the unified strength theory

Blasting-induced cracks in the rock surrounding deeply buried tunnels can result in water gushing and rock mass collapse,posing significant safety ***,previous theoretical studies on the range of blasting-induced cracks often ignore the impact of the in-situ stress,especially that of the intermediate principal *** particle displacement−crack radius relationship was established in this paper by utilizing the blasthole cavity expansion equation,and theoretical analytical formulas of the stress−displacement relationship and the crack radius were derived with unified strength theory to accurately assess the range of cracks in deep surrounding rock under a blasting *** analysis showed that the crushing zone size was positively correlated with in-situ stress,intermediate principal stress,and detonation pressure,whereas negatively correlated with Poisson ratio and decoupling *** dilatancy angle-crushing zone size relationship exhibited nonmonotonic *** relationships in the crushing zone and the fracture zone exhibited opposite trends under the influence of only in-situ stress or intermediate principal *** the in-situ stress increased from 0 to 70 MPa,the rate of change in the crack range and the attenuation rate of the peak vibration velocity gradually slowed.
