In this work,the synergistice efects of external electric field(EEF)and solvent vapor annealing to enhanceβ-phase and carrier mobility of poly(9,9-dioctylfuorene)(PFO)films were *** is found that EEF can promote the PFOβ-phase conformation transition and orientate the PFO chains along the EEF direction with the as-sistance of polar solvent vapor *** chain orderness is closely related to the solvent *** particular,the B-phase content in the annealed film of strong polar chloroform vapor increases from 18.7%to 34.9%after EEF *** a characteristic needle-like crystal is formed in the flm,as a result,the hole mobility is en-hanced by an order of *** mechanism can be attributed to the fast polarization of solvent dipole under the action of EEF,thus forming a driving force that greatly facilitates the orientation of PFO dipole *** also reveals that EEF driving of the PFO chains does not occur with an insoluble solvent vapor since the solvent molecules cannot swell the film,thus there is insufficient free volume for PFO chains to adjust their *** research enriches the understanding of the relationship between solvent vapor annealing and EEF in orientation polymers,and this method is simple and controlled,and capable of integrating into large-area thin film process,which provides new insights to manufacture low-cost and highly ordered polymer films,and is of great significance to enhance carrier mobility and efficiency of photoelectric devices based on polymer condensed matter physics.

The performance of high-temperature components of aero-engines under the CreepFatigue Interaction(CFI)behavior gets more attention *** this research,the creepfatigue tests of two superalloys of Powder Metallurgy(PM)FGH96 and direct aging GH4169 were performed at 650°C with different types of dwell,and the fracture morphology of FGH96 specimens was observed by Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM)to analyze the creep-fatigue fracture feature and crack ***,according to phenomenology,the effect of dwell was introduced to develop a new uniaxial fatigue life prediction model based on the total strain equation,which has capability to take dwell time and load ratio into account *** equations were utilized to model the test data of PM FGH96 and GH4169,together with data of another superalloy PM FGH95 conducted previously.A prominent prediction ability of the model in creep-fatigue life prediction of different superalloys has been *** data points of test data and estimated data are located within two times scatter band,which is ideal in engineering.

Predicting Hurricane Evacuation Decisions with Interpretable Machine Learning Methods

Facing the escalating effects of climate change,it is critical to improve the prediction and understanding of the hurricane evacuation decisions made by households in order to enhance emergency *** studies in this area often have relied on psychology-driven linear models,which frequently exhibited limitations in *** present study proposed a novel interpretable machine learning approach to predict household-level evacuation decisions by leveraging easily accessible demographic and resource-related predictors,compared to existing models that mainly rely on psychological *** enhanced logistic regression model(that is,an interpretable machine learning approach) was developed for accurate predictions by automatically accounting for nonlinearities and interactions(that is,univariate and bivariate threshold effects).Specifically,nonlinearity and interaction detection were enabled by low-depth decision trees,which offer transparent model structure and robustness.A survey dataset collected in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita,two of the most intense tropical storms of the last two decades,was employed to test the new *** findings show that,when predicting the households’ evacuation decisions,the enhanced logistic regression model outperformed previous linear models in terms of both model fit and predictive *** outcome suggests that our proposed methodology could provide a new tool and framework for emergency management authorities to improve the prediction of evacuation traffic demands in a timely and accurate manner.

Endoplasmic reticulum stress improved chicken tenderness,promoted apoptosis and autophagy during postmortem ageing

In this study,endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress inducer tunicamycin(TM)and inhibitor 4-phenylbutyric acid(4-PBA)were used to treat postmortem chicken breast muscle to investigate changes in tenderness and effects on apoptosis and autophagy during 5 days ***-induced ER stress reduced shear force,enhanced myofibril fragmentation index(MFI),disrupted myofibril structure,increased desmin degradation,and activatedμ-calpain and *** addition,TM-induced ER stress increased the expression of Bax,Bim,and cytochrome c,and decreased the expression of Bcl-x ***,TM-induced ER stress improved the conversion of LC3I to LC3II,raised the expression of Beclin-1,and decreased the expression of p62,PI3K,and m *** opposite results were observed after 4-PBA *** results suggested that ER stress could improve chicken tenderness,promote apoptosis and autophagy during chicken postmortem ageing.

Antibacterial resistance is a global health threat that requires further concrete action on the part of all *** this context,one of the biggest concerns is whether enough new antibacterial drugs are being discovered and *** several high-quality reviews on clinical antibacterial drug pipelines from a global perspective were published recently,none provides comprehensive information on original antibacterial drugs at clinical stages in *** this review,we summarize the latest progress of novel antibacterial drugs approved for marketing and under clinical evaluation in China since *** was obtained by consulting official websites,searching commercial databases,retrieving literature,asking personnel from institutions or companies,and other means,and a considerable part of the data covered here has not been included in other *** of June 30,2023,a total of 20 antibacterial projects from 17 Chinese pharmaceutical companies or developers were identified and *** them,two new antibacterial drugs that belong to traditional antibiotic classes were approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in China in 2019 and 2021,respectively,and 18antibacterial agents are in clinical development,with one under regulatory evaluation,five in phase-3,six in phase-2,and six in *** of the clinical candidates are new analogs or monocomponents of traditional antibacterial pharmacophore types,including two dual-acting hybrid antibiotics and a recombinant antibacterial ***,despite there being 17 antibacterial clinical candidates,our analysis indicates that there are still relatively few clinically differentiated antibacterial agents in stages of clinical development in ***,Chinese pharmaceutical companies and institutions will develop more innovative and clinically differentiated candidates with good market potential in the future research and development (R&D) of original antibacterial drug

Avalanche boron fusion by laser picosecond block ignition with magnetic trapping for clean and economic reactor

Measured highly elevated gains of proton–boron(HB11) fusion(Picciotto et al., Phys. Rev. X 4, 031030(2014))confirmed the exceptional avalanche reaction process(Lalousis et al., Laser Part. Beams 32, 409(2014); Hora et al.,Laser Part. Beams 33, 607(2015)) for the combination of the non-thermal block ignition using ultrahigh intensity laser pulses of picoseconds duration. The ultrahigh acceleration above 10^(20) cm s^(-2)for plasma blocks was theoretically and numerically predicted since 1978(Hora, Physics of Laser Driven Plasmas(Wiley, 1981), pp. 178 and 179) and measured(Sauerbrey, Phys. Plasmas 3, 4712(1996)) in exact agreement(Hora et al., Phys. Plasmas 14, 072701(2007)) when the dominating force was overcoming thermal processes. This is based on Maxwell's stress tensor by the dielectric properties of plasma leading to the nonlinear(ponderomotive) force f_(NL)resulting in ultra-fast expanding plasma blocks by a dielectric explosion. Combining this with measured ultrahigh magnetic fields and the avalanche process opens an option for an environmentally absolute clean and economic boron fusion power reactor. This is supported also by other experiments with very high HB11 reactions under different conditions(Labaune et al., Nature Commun.4, 2506(2013)).

Masses of the conjectured H-dibaryon at different temperatures

We present a lattice QCD determination of masses of the conjectured H-dibaryon,denoted as mH,at nine different temperatures:T/T_(c)=0.24,0.63,0.76,0.84,0.95,1.09,1.27,1.52,and *** masses of baryons N,Σ,Ξ,andΛat different temperatures were also *** simulations were performed on an anisotropic lattice with N_(f)=2+1 flavours of clover fermion at a quark mass corresponding to mπ=384(4)*** thermal ensembles were provided by the FASTSUM collaboration,whereas the zero temperature ensembles were provided by the Hadspec *** also calculated the spectral density of the correlation function of those *** spectral density distributions show a rich peak structure at the lowest temperature;at intermediate temperatures,the mass values of those particles obtained by the extrapolation method reflect a two-peak *** the spectral density for the octet baryon becomes smooth at T/T_(c)=1.27,1.52,and 1.90,the spectral density for the H-dibaryon becomes smooth at T/T_(c)=*** T/T_(c)=0.24,the mass difference of the H-dibaryon andΛpair,expressed asΔm=m_(H)−2m_(Λ),was estimated to beΔm=−14.6(6.2)MeV,which suggests the existence of a bound H-dibaryon state.

Flutter analysis of compressor blades under travelling wave modes using an efficient fluid–structure interaction method

Flutter is a self-sustained vibration which could create serious damage to compressor *** the efficiency and accuracy of Fluid-structure Interaction(FSI)method is crucial to flutter *** efficient FSI method which combines a fast mesh deformation technology and Double-Passage Shape Correction(DPSC)method is proposed to predict blades flutter under traveling wave ***,regarding the fluid domain as a pseudo elastic solid,the flow mesh deformation and blade vibration response can be quickly obtained by solving the governing equations of the holistic system composed of blade and pseudo elastic ***,by storing and updating the Fourier coefficients on the circumferential boundary,the phase-lagged boundary condition is introduced into the computational ***,the aerodynamic stability for the blades of an axial compressor under various Inter-Blade Phase Angle(IBPA)is *** results show that the proposed method can effectively predict the characteristics of aerodynamic damping,aerodynamic force and blade *** a conceptual model is proposed to describe the motion behavior of the shock *** with the multi-passage method,the proposed method obtains almost the same unstable IBPA interval and the blade displacement error is less than 3.4%.But the calculation time is significantly shortened especially in small IBPA cases.

An Elasticity Model Considering Grain Boundaries and Tensile Orientations for Directionally Solidified Superalloys

In order to investigate the elastic properties of directionally solidified(DS)superalloys,an elasticity model called boundaries elastic model(GBE model),considering grain boundaries and tensile orientations,is proposed in this *** assumptions are adopted in the GBE model:(1)The displacement of grains,which moves along the perpendicular direction,is restricted by the grain boundaries;(2)Grain boundaries influence region(GBIR)is formed around the grain *** on the single crystal(SC)calculation method of elastic properties,the GBE model can well predict macroscopic equivalent elastic modulus(Young’s modulus)of DS superalloys under different tensile orientations *** demonstrate the correctness of the GBE model,3D finite element simulation is adopted and tensile experiments on a Ni3Al?base DS superalloy(IC10)along five tensile orientations are carried ***,the grain boundaries are observed by light microscopy and transmission electron microscope(TEM).Therefore,the GBE model is proved to be feasible by comparing the simulated results with the experiments.
