The efficient pyrolysis and conversion of organic matter in organic-rich shale,as well as the effective recovery of pyrolysis shale oil and gas,play a vital role in alleviating energy *** state of carbon dioxide（CO2） in the pyrolysis environment of shale reservoirs is the supercritical *** unique supercritical fluid properties not only effectively heat organic matter,displace pyrolysis products and change shale pore structure,but also achieve carbon storage to a certain *** samples were made into powder and three sizes of cores,and nitrogen（n2） and supercritical carbon dioxide（scCO2）pyrolysis experiments were performed at different final pyrolysis *** properties and mineral characteristics of the pyrolysis products were studied based on gas chromatography analysis,Xray diffraction tests,and mass spectrometry ***,the pore structure characteristics at different regions of cores before and after pyrolysis were analyzed using n2adsorption tests to clarify the impact of fracturing degree on the pyrolysis *** results indicate that the optimal pyrolysis temperature of Longkou shale is about 430℃.Compared with n2,the oil yield of scCO2pyrolysis is *** pyrolysis oil obtained by scCO2extraction has more intermediate fractions and higher relative molecular *** scCO2can effectively improve the pore diameter of shale and its effect is better than that of *** micropores are produced in shale after pyrolysis,and the macropores only are generated in scCO2pyrolysis environments with temperatures greater than 430℃.The pore structure has different development characteristics at different pyrolysis temperatures,which are mainly affected by the pressure holding of volatile matter and products *** to the surface of the core,the pore development effect inside the core is *** the decrease in core size,the pore diameter,specific surface area,and pore volume of cores all increase after pyrolysis.

An advanced spectral diagnostic system was developed to measure the electron temperature(T_(e)),electron density(n_(e)),and ion temperature(T_(i))of the Huazhong University of science and Technology field-reversed configuration *** system consists of an optic fiber spectrometer with a wide spectral band and a 670 mm focal length high throughout Czerny-Turner monochromator equipped with both a 3600 g mm^(-1)grating and a 2400 g mm^(-1)grating to measure the line *** these components is an electronmultiplying charge-coupled device camera to capture spectral *** relative intensity of the optical fiber spectrometer was calibrated using a standard luminance source,and the wavelength calibration of the spectrometer was accomplished using a Hg/Ar *** diagnostic setup was configured to measure electron density based on the stark effect of H_γ(n=5→n=2;434.04 nm).Doppler broadening of an OⅢ(2s^(2)2p(^(2)P^(0))3p→2s^(2)2p(^(2)P^(0))3s;375.988 nm)emission line was measured and analyzed to obtain the ion temperature,and electron temperatures were estimated from the relative strength of H_(β)(n=4→n=2;486.14 nm)(D_(β))and H_(γ)(D_(γ))spectral lines when the electron density was obtained from stark effect *** initial experimental results indicate that the highest electron temperature of the formation region was approximately 8 eV,the electron density of the colliding-and-merging region was approaching 10^(20)m^(-3),and the ion temperature reached about 40 eV.

It is well-established that high carbonization temperature will trigger the enzyme-like activity of carbon-based ***,the catalytic mechanism is still ambiguous,which hinders the further rational design of nanomaterials as enzyme ***,n,s-rich carbonized wool nanosheets(CWs)were synthesized at different pyrolysis *** expected,only CWs treated with high-temperature possess intrinsic oxidase-and peroxidase-like ***,density functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrate that graphitic nitrogen and the co-existence of nitrogen and sulfur in the carbon matrix serve as the active sites for the enzyme-like *** importantly,combining theoretical calculations and experimental observations,the high-temperature triggered catalytic mechanism can be ascribed to the fact that an appropriate high-temperature maximizes the graphitization degree to a certain extent,at which most of the catalytic active sites are well retained rather than ***,coupling with excellent photothermal conversion efficiency and catalytic performance,CWs can be applied to photothermal-catalytic cancer therapy under near-infrared region(nIR)light *** believe this work will contribute to understanding the catalytic mechanism of carbon-based nanozymes and promote the development of new biomedical and pharmaceutical applications.

Venom snake-derived peptides have multiple biochemical,pharmacological,and toxicological proﬁles,allowing for the discovery of new medicinal products and therapeutic *** review speciﬁcally examines the fundamental elements of neuroprotection offered by different oligopeptides derived from snake *** also includes a brief evaluation of short peptides that are being considered as potential therapeutic ***-rich peptides and tryptophyllin family peptides isolated from the crude venom of Viperidae family snakes,speciﬁcally Bothrops atrox,Bothrops jararaca,and Bothrops moojeni,have been shown to have pro-survival properties,the ability to reduce oxidative stress,and the ability to promote cell viability and mitochondrial *** signiﬁcant mechanisms are related to the neuroprotection mediated by snake venom oligopeptides:(1)Activation of the L-arginine metabolite pathway,such as polyamines from ornithine metabolism,which reduces n-methyl-D-aspartate(nMDA)-type glutamate receptor activity;(2)Enhancement of cell viability by activating the nerve growth factor-signaling pathway;and(3)Activation of the Muscarinic acetylcholine receptor subtype M1(mAChR-M1).These small peptides show promise as neuroprotective agents against a variety of neurodegenerative disorders.

The current study is performed to find sustainable solutions for the future of transportation and environmental *** conventional methods and experimental design table(L16 Orthogonal Array)techniques have been employed to examine and optimize a diesel-powered engine's operational and pollutant *** L16 Orthogonal Array is obtained through Taguchi's experimental design approach using Minitab 16 *** experimental design incorporated three control variables,namely engine speed,fuel type,and engine load,each with four *** operational parameters,namely brake thermal efficiency(BTE)and brake specific fuel consumption(BsFC),as well as the emission characteristics,including hydrocarbon(HC),carbon monoxide(CO),nitrogen oxide(nO),and smoke emissions,were acquired using the L16 orthogonal array(OA) and subsequently *** utilization of methodologies such as signal-to-noise(s/n) ratio and grey analysis was employed to determine the optimal operational state of the engine to achieve maximum performance while minimizing *** engine's ideal state of operation,in terms of BTE and BsFC,was determined to be at 75% engine load,1000 r/min engine speed,and using 10^(-4)(in vol) carbon nanotube incorporated 20% orange peel biodiesel(OPB20CnT100) blended fuel(A3-B1-C4).The study indicated that engine load significantly influenced BTE and BsFC,with 84.05% and 87.79% contribution factors,*** 25% engine load,1000 r/min,and OPB20CnT100 fuel(A1-B1-C4) CO,smoke,nO,and HC emissions were the *** load affects emissions the *** BsFC increased 3.10% and nO emissions 1.77%.BTE,CO,smoke,and HC emissions decreased by 1.9%,12.29%,47.05%,and 47.22%,respectively,at optimal operating conditions concerning diesel *** study shows that Taguchi-Grey's experimental design optimizes diesel engine operational and pollutant *** outcomes revealed that orange peel biodiesel infused with CnT can replace diesel fuel in a

Aberrant changes in the gut microbiota are implicated in many diseases,including inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).Gut microbes produce diverse metabolites that can shape the immune system and impact the intestinal barrier integrity,indicating that microbe-mediated modulation may be a promising strategy for preventing and treating *** fecal microbiota transplantation and probiotic supplementation are well-established IBD therapies,novel chemical agents that are safe and exert strong effects on the gut microbiota are urgently ***,we report the total synthesis of heudelotinone and the discovery of 5s-heudelotinone(an enantiomer)as a potent agent against experimental colitis that acts by modulating the gut microbiota.5s-Heudelotinone alters the diversity and composition of the gut microbiota and increases the concentration of short-chain fatty acids(sCFAs);thus,it regulates the intestinal immune system by reducing proinflammatory immune cell numbers,and maintains intestinal mucosal integrity by modulating tight junctions(TJs).Moreover,5s-heudelotinone(2)ameliorates colitis-associated colorectal cancer(CAC)in an azoxymethane(AOM)/dextran sulfate sodium(Dss)-induced in situ carcinoma ***,these findings reveal the potential of a novel natural product,namely,5s-heudelotinone,to control intestinal inflammation and highlight that this product is a safe and effective candidate for the treatment of IBD and CAC.
