Cooling process of iron ore pellets in a circular cooler has great impacts on the pellet quality and systematic energy exploitation. However, multi-variables and non-visualization of this gray system is unfavorable to efficient production. Thus, the cooling process of iron ore pellets was optimized using mathematical model and data mining techniques. A mathematical model was established and validated by steady-state production data, and the results show that the calculated values coincide very well with the measured values. Based on the proposed model, effects of important process parameters on gas-pellet temperature profiles within the circular cooler were analyzed to better understand the entire cooling process. Two data mining techniques—Association Rules Induction and Clustering were also applied on the steady-state production data to obtain expertise operating rules and optimized targets. Finally, an optimized control strategy for the circular cooler was proposed and an operation guidance system was developed. The system could realize the visualization of thermal process at steady state and provide operation guidance to optimize the circular cooler.

A suitable and efficient flotation collector at normal atmospheric temperature for Donganshan iron ore was developed.A new chelate collector W-2 was *** 30 °C,condition flotation tests on mixed magnetic concentrate of Donganshan sintering plant established the best reagent *** the optimum reagent system,one direct flotation and one reverse flotation including one roughing,one cleaning and two scavenging stages have been *** closed-circuit flotation,excellent indices were obtained with grade of siderite concentrate of 36.49%,recovery rate of 10.65%,and loss on ignition of 11.17%,and the grade of hematite concentrate reached 66.27%,with recovery rate of 78.25%,tailing grade of 16.22%,and recovery rate of 11.10%.To analyze the mechanism of action from W-2 to quartz and siderite,zeta potential and FTIR spectra were *** showed that after reaction with W-2,the zeta potential of quartz and siderite evidently changed,which resulted from hydrogen bond between quartz and W-2,and a certain chemical action between siderite and *** addition,the electronegativity equalization principle was used to calculate electronegativity of active adsorption sites and analysis on reagent molecular structure showed that W-2 molecule had five active adsorption *** showed that the electronegativity of atoms N and O in W-2 presented a substantial increase,and the synergy of atomic sites allowed considerable enhancement of collecting ability.

In light of the problems of low-quality and low degree of comprehensive utilization of Guangdong muscovite-type kaolin, the reasons affecting the quality of kaolin were found to be a small amount of maroon powdery goethite adhering to the surface of kaolin and minor muscovite affecting the firing whiteness of products. The ores were dealt with by using the new combined process of attritioning-classifieation-bleaching and flotation. The separation of kaolin from muscovite, quartz and feldspar can come true through the new process. The high-quality kaolin with the firing whiteness of 91% can be obtained, and the muscovite is comprehensively recovered by adopting the key technology of flotation. The content of high-purity muscovite produced is over 99%. The muscovite discarded by original process can be comprehensively recovered.

This work focuses on the organic depressant,disodium bis(carboxymethyl)trithiocarbonate(DBT),as a selectivedepressant in copper?molybdenum sulfide flotation ***-flotation,Zeta potential,FTIR and XPS measurements werecarried out to investigate the selective depression mechanism of DBT on *** potential and FTIR measurementsrevealed that DBT had higher affinity for chalcopyrite than molybdenite and the XPS results of chalcopyrite before and aftertreatment with DBT further proved that DBT adsorbed on chalcopyrite *** investigation indicates that the mechanism ofDBT adsorbing on chalcopyrite is mainly physical *** circuit experiments were carried out and the results showedthat DBT could be considered as a cleaner option in commercial Cu?Mo flotation separation circuits.

Structure Model of Granules for Sintering Mixtures

Structure model of granules, boundary value of nucleus and powder, and the relationship between granula- tion efficiency and boundary value were investigated. Granules of sintering mixtures are composed of adhesive powder and nucleus. In the mixtures, particles larger than 1.00 mm act as nucleus and particles smaller than 0.25 mm act as adhesive powder. Particles with size between 0.25--1.00 mm can be adhesive powder as well as nucleus depending on the granulation conditions. When the boundary value is close to 0.25 mm, the granulation efficiency is lower than 50%. When the boundary value is close to 1.00 mm, the granulation efficiency is above 90%. The boundary value is influenced by the iron ore type, granulation moisture, fineness of raw materials and burnt-lime activity. Good adhe- sive capability, suitable moisture content, appropriate particle size distribution and high burnt-lime activity make the boundary value move towards 1.00 mm and improve the granulation efficiency.

In this study,direct reduction-magnetic separation process was applied to enrich phosphorus and iron to prepare Fe-P crude alloy from a high phosphorus oolitic hematite ore(HPOH).The results show that at lower temperatures and with absence of any of additives,Fe cannot be effectively recovered because of the oolitic structure is not *** contrast,under the conditions of 15%Na_(2)SO_(4)and reducing at 1050℃ for 120 min with a total C/Fe ratio(molar ratio)of 8.5,a final Fe-P alloy containing 92.40%Fe and 1.09%P can be obtained at an overall iron recovery of 95.43%and phosphorus recovery of 68.98%,*** metallized Fe-P powder can be applied as the burden for production of weathering resistant *** developed process can provide an alternative for effective and green utilization of high phosphorus iron ore.

Comprehensive utilization of low grade manganese?zinc compound ore containing lead and silver with a method of reductive acid leaching was *** to theφ?pH diagram of Mn?Zn?H2O system,Mn and Zn can be leached simultaneously in the pH range of?*** results showed that both hydrogen peroxide and sucrose were effective reductants which could intensify the simultaneous leaching of Mn and Zn into leachate as well as enrich Pb and Ag in the residue.95.88%of Mn and99.23%of Zn were extracted when the compound ore was leached with hydrogen peroxide in sulfuric acid media,meanwhile the contents of Pb and Ag in the residue were enriched to13.21%and489.36g/t,*** sucrose was used as the reductant,the leaching efficiencies of Mn and Zn separately achieved98.26%and99.62%,and contents of Pb and Ag in the residue were as high as13.92%and517.87g/t,respectively.
