The definition of urban form and its elements raises a wide debate in urban *** study presents a proposal to understand the structuring of the urban landscape of Setif City over 170 years(1848-2018)by abstracting its main elements into permanent structure(PSUL).It corresponds to the street network,more static to the change of the town plan,and flexible structure(FSul),more resilient to change and explains the superimpositions of morphological components(plot,building,and land use).This work aims to identify typological patterns of structures suggested in space-time through the inspection of the growth of the street network and the filling of morphological layers framed by the concept of *** methodology is based on syntactic(diachronic)morphogenetic analysis,with statistical analyses as unsupervised *** indicate that PSUL presents an accumulation of microincrements produced with a similar degree of coherence in different urban fabrics,which explain the local patterns of street network *** typology of FSul patterns indicates an unbalanced growth by the arrangement between morphological elements,resulting in a variation in the degree of urbanity.

We present a systematic computational study based on the density functional theory(DFT) aiming to high light the possible effects of one As doping atom on the structural, energetic, and electronic properties of different isomers of Ge_(n+1) clusters with n = 1–20 atoms. By considering a large number of structures for each cluster size, the lowest-energy isomers are determined. The lowest-energy isomers reveal three-dimensional structures starting from n = 5. Their relative stability versus atomic size is examined based on the calculated binding energy, fragmentation energy, and second-order difference of energy. Doping Ge_(n+1) clusters with one As atom does not improve their stability. The electronic properties as a function of the atomic size are also discussed from the calculated HOMO–LUMO energy gap, vertical ionization potential, vertical electron affinity, and chemical hardness. The obtained results are significantly affected by the inclusion of one As atom into a Gen cluster.

The main electrical properties of advanced Silicon On Insulator MOSFets are addressed. The subthreshold and high field operations are analysed as a function of device architecture. The special SOI parasitic phenomena, such as the floating body potential and temperature, are critically reviewed. The main limitations of submicron MOSFet are comparatively evaluated for various SOI structures. Short channel and hot carrier effects as well as the reliability of the SOI technology are investigated for gate length down to sub\|0 1 micron.

The compressive yielding phenomenon of titanium alloys is not as focused and sufficiently ascertain as the tensile yielding *** the present work,the peculiar compressive yielding behavior and the different dynamic responses of three different initial microstructures(singleβ,clavateβand lamellarβ)were investigated in an attractive metastableβtitanium alloy Ti-5553 using electron microscopes/crystallographic calculation/crystal plastic finite element *** reveal that the distinct compressive yielding behavior,steep peaks of sudden drop in the initial stage(very small true strain 0.03)of stress loading have appeared in the compression stress-strain curves except for the lamellarβinitial *** slip is the essential mechanism of the initial yielding *** multiple-slip bands formed in the singleβinitial microstructure during the warm deformation process.A small quantity of single slip bands was observed in the deformed clavateβinitial *** abundant varied nano/ultrafineβsprecipitates were nucleated dynamically and dispersedly in all the three deformed initial *** multiple-slip bands formation and substantial nanoscaleβsresult in the highest peak of flow stress for singleβinitial *** compressive slip bands are formed early in the elastic–plastic deformation *** the increasing strain,the sample showed a significant compressive bulge,or eventually forming a strong adiabatic shear band or *** results are expected to provide a reference for the study of deformation behavior and mechanical properties of metastableβtitanium alloys.

2,2’-Bithiophene-5-carboxylic acid (BTA) thin-films on platinum (Pt) electrodes were electrochemically prepared in acetonitrile solution containing 0.1 M tetrabutylammonium perchlorate (TBAP) and 0.05 M BTA. These films were complexes with several metal ions such as Cu2+, Ag+ and Co2+. Their structural characteristics were compared with those of powder complexes chemically prepared from BTA and the corresponding metal ion. IR and XPS techniques reveal that the film complexes with metal ions have the same structures as the corresponding powder complexes. The electrocatalytic activity of BTA film-metal ions has been investigated toward ascorbic acid (AA) oxidation and compared to that obtained on a free BTA film. BTA film-metal ions exhibit good catalytic proprieties and better detection of AA than a free BTA film. This new propriety allows these films to be used as electrochemical sensors. The time dependence of probability and Shannon entropy of a modified damped harmonic oscillator is studied by using single and double Gaussian wave functions through the Feynman path method. We establish that the damped coefficient as well as the system frequency and the distance separating two consecutive waves of the initial double Gaussian function influences the coherence of the system and can be used to control its decoherence.

This paper is concerned with the determination of the thermal energy performances of individual houses built with ＂H＂ shape bricks in hot and dry tropical climate （different cities of Burkina Faso and the city of Bamako in Mali）. The bricks＇ matrices include three void spaces which are filled during construction with either clay-grass mixture or with entirely clay matter. After measuring the diffusivity of the clay matter and cement bricks samples utilizing the Flash method, we determine the ＂H＂ shape bricks＇ thermal equivalent conductivity using the HEAT software. The house, modeled utilizing the TRNSYS software, reveals that, besides their economical and environmental advantages, houses constructed with ＂H＂ shape bricks filled with clay, show approximately the same energy consumption patterns as void cement bricks houses. On the other hand, houses built utilizing ＂H＂ shape bricks filled with clay-grass mixture, which have low thermal conductivity, show a reduced air conditioning load. We also study the influence of the building orientation on the energy consumption.

A new friedelane-type triterpene named 3β-hydroxyfriedelane-7,12,22-trione,as well as nine known compounds were isolated from the whole stems of Drypetes laciniata Hutch.（Euphorbiaceae）.Their structures were established on the basis of spectroscopic *** new triterpene derivative and a known saponin were tested for antimicrobial and antifungal activities and they appeared to be moderate active.
