The aim of this work is to study the impacts of the oil spills on the electromagnetic scattering of the ocean surfaces in bistatic and monostatic configurations. Therefore, in this paper, we will study the influence of the pollutants (oil spills) on the physical and geometrical properties of sea surface. in recent literature, the study of the electromagnetic scattering from contaminated sea surface (sea surface covered by oil spill) was limited in monostatic case. in this paper, we will study this effect in bistatic configuration, which is interested in presence of pollution in sea surface. indeed, we will start the numerical analysis of the bistatic scattering coefficients of a clean sea surface. Then, we will study the electromagnetic signature from sea surface covered by oil spills in bistatic case using the numerical Forward-Backward Method (FBM). The obtained numerical simulation of bistatic scattering coefficients of clean and contaminated sea surface is studied as a function of various parameters (frequency, incident angle, sea state, type of pollutant…). And the obtained results are also compared with those published in the literature, including those using asymptotic methods.

in electronic Warfare, and more specifically in the domain of passive localization, accurate time synchronization between platforms is decisive, especially on systems relying on TDOA （time difference of arrival） and FDOA （frequency difference of arrival）. This paper investigates this issue by presenting an analysis in terms of final localization performance of an experimental passive localization system based on off-the-shelf components. This system is detailed, as well as the methodology used to carry out the acquisition of real data. This experiment has been realized with two different kinds of clock. The results are analyzed by calculating the Allan deviation and time deviation. The choice of these metrics is explained and their properties are discussed in the scope of an airborne bi-platform passive localization context. Conclusions are drawn regarding the overall localization performance of the system.

AiM:To evaluate whether crypt abscesses frominflammatory bowel disease(iBD)patients containbacteria and to establish their ***:We studied 17 ulcerative colitis patients,11 Crohn's disease patients,7 patients with acute selflimited colitis(ASLC)and normal colonic biopsies from5 subjects who underwent colonoscopy for colon cancer screening.A fluorescent in situ hybridization techniquewas applied to colonic biopsies to assess the microbiotacomposition of the crypts and crypt ***:Crypts colonized by bacteria were observedin 42.9%and 3.6%of ASLC and iBD patients,respectively(P=0.019).Crypt abscesses colonized bybacteria were observed in 28.6%and 0.0%of ASLCand iBD patients,respectively(P=0.035).CONCLUSiON:These results do not support thehypothesis that crypt abscesses in iBD are the resultof localized dysbiosis arising from persistence of livingbacteria colonizing the crypts.

in the present work, dense perovskite ceramics were successfully prepared from a series of La1-xBaxCoO3 solid solutions in the range of substitution 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.75 using solid state reaction and conventional sintering. Structural properties of La1-xBaxCoO3 were systematically investigated and thermoelectric properties were measured in the temperature range of 330–1000 K. The results show that the thermoelectric properties of Ba-substituted LaCoO3 depend on x. indeed, at 330 K, electrical conductivity presents an optimum value for x = 0.25 with a value of σmax ≈ 2.2×105 S·m–1 whereas the Seebeck coefficient decreases when x and/or the temperature increases. The Ba-substituted LaCoO3 samples exhibit p-type semiconducting behaviour. The best power factor value found is 3.4×10–4 W·m–1·K–2 at 330 K for x = 0.075, which is 10% higher than the optimum value measured in La1–xSrxCoO3 for x = 0.05. The thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity increase with increasing temperature and Ba concentration. La1-xBaxCoO3 shows a maximum figure of merit(ZT = 0.048) for x = 0.05 at 330 K, 25% higher than the best value in La1–xSrxCoO3 compounds.

ischemic preconditioning(iPC)is an attractive method for athletes owing to its potential to enhance exercise ***,the effectiveness of the iPC intervention in the field of sports science remains *** number of cycles of ischemia and reperfusion,as well as the duration of the cycle,varies from one study to another;Thus,the aim of this systematic review was to provide a comprehensive review examining the iPC literature in sports science.A systematic literature search was performed in PubMed(MeDLiNe)(from 1946 to May 2018),Web of Science(sport sciences)(from 1945 to May 2018),and eMBASe(from 1974 to May 2018).We included all studies investigating the effects of iPC on exercise performance in human *** assess scientific evidence for each study,this review was conducted following the Preferred Reporting items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses *** electronic database search generated 441 potential articles that were screened for eligibility.A total of 52 studies were identified as eligible and valid for this systematic *** studies included were of high quality,with 48 of the 52 studies having a ran?domized,controlled trial *** studied showed that iPC intervention can be beneficial to exercise ***,iPC intervention seems to be more beneficial to healthy subjects who wish to enhance their performance in aerobic exercises than ***,this systematic review highlights that a better knowledge of the mechanisms generated by the iPC intervention would make it possible to optimize the protocols according to the characteristics of the subjects with the aim of suggesting to the subjects the best possible experience of iPC intervention.

The tapered element oscillating microbalance with filter dynamics measurement system （TeOM-FDMS） is an instrument commonly employed by the French air quality monitoring network. This instrument is currently calibrated with calibration weights traceable to Si but having value and mass differences between each of them that are not representative of real atmospheric particle mass measurements. Moreover, these calibration weights do not allow detection of any technical problems associated with either the TeOM-FDMS sampling system upstream of the mass measurement or the intrinsic TeOM-FDMS filtration system. Therefore, a calibration method was developed using a portable reference aerosol generator （PRAG） that produces known and stable particle mass concentrations over time. Here, we present the characterization of the PRAG system in terms of a reference range of particle masses between 30 - 10 and 3456 ± 83 μg at three sampling times. its coupling with the TeOM-FDMS and a global comparison between the defined reference range of particle masses and the measured masses obtained with each TeOM-FDMS implicated in this study are also presented.
