Spatial confinement:An effective strategy to improve H_(2)O and SO_(2) resistance of the expandable graphite-modified TiO_(2)-supported Pt nanocatalysts for CO oxidation

The expandable graphite(eG)modified TiO_(2) nanocomposites were prepared by the high shearmethod using the TiO_(2) nanoparticles(NPs)and eG as precursors,in which the amount of eG doped in TiO_(2) was 10 wt.%.Followed by the impregnation method,adjusting the pH of the solution to 10,and using the electrostatic adsorption to achieve spatial confinement,the Pt elementswere mainly distributed on the exposed TiO_(2),thus generating the Pt/10eG-TiO_(2)-10 *** best CO oxidation activity with the excellent resistance to H_(2)O and SO_(2) was obtained over the Pt/10eG-TiO_(2)-10 catalyst:CO conversion after 36 hr of the reaction was ca.85%under the harsh condition of 10 vol.%H_(2)O and 100 ppm SO_(2) at a high gaseous hourly space velocity(GHSV)of 400,000 hr−*** properties of the catalystswere characterized by various *** results showed that the electrostatic adsorption,which riveted the Pt elements mainly on the exposed TiO_(2) of the support surface,reduced the dispersion of Pt NPs on eG and achieved the effective dispersion of Pt NPs,hence significantly improving CO oxidation activity over the Pt/10eG-TiO_(2)-10 *** 10 wt.%eG doped in TiO_(2) caused the TiO_(2) support to form a more hydrophobic surface,which reduced the adsorption of H_(2)O and SO_(2) on the catalyst,greatly inhibited deposition of the TiOSO4 and formation of the PtSO4 species as well as suppressed the oxidation of SO_(2),thus resulting in an improvement in the resistance to H_(2)O and SO_(2) of the Pt/10eG-TiO_(2)-10 catalyst.

High-throughput experimentation and machine learning-promoted synthesis of α-phosphoryloxy ketones via Ru-catalyzed P(O)O–H insertion reactions of sulfoxonium ylides

Herein,we report a novel and highly efficient method for the synthesis ofα-phosphoryloxy carbonyl compounds via Rucatalyzed P(O)O–H insertion reactions of sulfoxonium ylides and phosphinic acids,with the assistance of high-throughput experimentation(HTe)and machine learning(ML).A variety of P(O)O−H derivatives,including diarylphosphates,alkyl phosphates,and alkoxyphosphates,are competent candidates to react with sulfoxonium ylides in this transformation,and variousα-phosphoryloxy carbonyls and propylene phosphates are directly *** approach utilizes readily available sulfoxonium ylide as a carbene precursor,and features mild conditions,operational simplicity,and broad functional groups tolerance,and could be used for late-stage functionalization of structurally complex bioactive ***,a conducive exploration of the reaction space is also conducted(756 reactions)and a machine learning model for reaction yield prediction has been developed and applied,showcasing the practical application of this newly workflow(HTe-ML)in the field of synthetic chemistry.

Total synthesis of(+)-taberdicatine B and(+)-tabernabovine B

The first total synthesis of(+)-taberdicatine B and(+)-tabernabovine B has been accomplished in 10steps with 26.9% overall yield and 15 steps with 7.3% overall yield, respectively. The prominent features of this efficient synthetic strategy include the following:(1)(+)-Taberdicatine B and(+)-tabernabovine B were accessed from common advanced intermediates by varying the substituents;(2) A one-pot asymmetric bromocyclization/hydrolysis was explored to assemble HPI skeleton;(3) Dieckmann condensation to form β-keto ester for the assembly of seven-membered ring;(4) An ester reduction/amide semireduction/cyclization sequence was applied to form the cage-like framework.

Alumina supported platinum-ceria catalyst for reverse water gas shift reaction

The activation of CO2molecules is a fundamental step for their effective *** highdensity oxygen vacancies on the surface of reducible oxides is pivotal for the activation of *** this work,we prepared a series of 0.5PtxCe/Al2O3（x=1,5,10,or 20） catalysts with varying Ce loading and 0.5 wt% of Pt for the reverse water gas shift（RWGS） *** size of CeO2particle increases with Ce ***,the 0.5Pt5Ce/Al2O3catalyst with an average CeO2particle size of 5.5 nm exhibits a very high CO2conversion rate(116.4×10-5molCO2/(gcat·s)) and CO selectivity（96.1%） at 600℃.Our experimental findings reveal that the small-size CeO2in 0.5Pt5Ce/Al2O3possesses a greater capacity to generate reactive oxygen vacancies,promoting the adsorption and activation of *** addition,the oxygen vacancies are cyclically generated and consumed during the reaction,which contributes to the elevated catalytic performance of the *** work provides a general strategy to construct rich oxygen vacancies on CeO2for designing high-performance catalysts in C1chemistry.
