NEdd8(Neural precursor cell expressed developmentally downregulated protein 8)is an ubiquitin-like protein that is covalently attached to a lysine residue of a protein substrate through a process known as neddylation,catalyzed by the enzyme cascade,namely NEdd8 activating enzyme(E1),NEdd8 conjugating enzyme(E2),and NEdd8 ligase(E3).The substrates of neddylation are categorized into cullins and non-cullin *** of cullins activates CrLs(cullin rING ligases),the largest family of E3 ligases,whereas neddylation of non-cullin substrates alters their stability and activity,as well as subcellular ***,the neddylation pathway and/or many neddylation substrates are abnormally activated or over-expressed in various human diseases,such as metabolic disorders,liver dysfunction,neurodegenerative disorders,and cancers,among ***,targeting neddylation becomes an attractive strategy for the treatment of these *** this review,we first provide a general introduction on the neddylation cascade,its biochemical process and regulation,and the crystal structures of neddylation enzymes in complex with cullin substrates;then discuss how neddylation governs various key biological processes via the modification of cullins and non-cullin *** further review the literature data on dysregulated neddylation in several human diseases,particularly cancer,followed by an outline of current efforts in the discovery of small molecule inhibitors of neddylation as a promising therapeutic ***,few perspectives were proposed for extensive future investigations.

Synaptic vesicles can undergo several modes of exocytosis,endocytosis,and trafficking within individual synapses,and their fates may be linked to different vesicular protein ***,we mapped the intrasynaptic distribution of the synaptic vesicle proteins SV2B and SV2A in glutamatergic synapses of the hippocampus using three-dimensional electron ***2B was almost completely absent from docked vesicles and a distinct cluster of vesicles found near the active *** contrast,SV2A was found in all domains of the synapse and was slightly enriched near the active ***2B and SV2A were found on the membrane in the peri-active zone,suggesting the recycling from both clusters of ***2B knockout mice displayed an increased seizure induction threshold only in a model employing high-frequency *** data show that glutamatergic synapses generate molecularly distinct populations of synaptic vesicles and are able to maintain them at steep spatial *** almost complete absence of SV2B from vesicles at the active zone of wildtype mice may explain why SV2A has been found more important for vesicle release.

Judd-Ofelt analysis of spectra and experimental evaluation of laser performance of Tm^(3+) doped Lu_2SiO_5 crystal

This paper reports that the Tm^3＋：Lu2SiO5 （Tm：LSO） crystal is grown by Czochralski technique. The roomtemperature absorption spectra of Tm：LSO crystal are measured on a b-cut sample with 4 at.% thulium. According to the obtained Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters Ω2=9.3155×10^-20 cm^2, Ω4=8.4103×10^-20 cm^2, Ω6=1.5908×10^-20 cm^2, the fluorescence lifetime is calculated to be 2.03 ms for ^3F4 → ^3H6 transition, and the integrated emission cross section is 5.81×10^-18 cm^2. room-temperature laser action near 2μm under diode pumping is experimentally evaluated in Tm：LSO. An optical-optical conversion efficiency of 9.1% and a slope efficiency of 16.2% are obtained with continuouswave maximum output power of 0.67 W. The emission wavelengths of Tm：LSO laser are centred around 2.06μm with spectral bandwidth of -13.6 nm.

Network virtualization has been a particularly important driving force behind the development of NGN. Finding effective ways to control self-adapting virtual networks has become a research hot spot. This paper tries to find an efficient way in combining dynamic resource sensing with traffic character and requirements in virtual network, based on that an intelligent cognition based virtual network resources management model has been put forward. We design a network topology view by coloring network topology matrix with current resources model. We present an intelligent virtual resource management mechanism based on the proposed network topology view. Experiment results illustrate that the proposed mechanism can improve VN capacity by automatic resource adjustment, which can obtain high utilization of VN resources without increasing computational expenses.

The Ho：YAP crystal is grown by the Czochralski technique. The room-temperature polarized absorption spectra of Ho：YAP crystal was measured on a c-cut sample with 1 at% holmium. According to the obtained Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters Ω2 = 1.42 × 10^-20cm^2, Ω4 = 2.92 ×10^-20 cm^2, and Ω6 =1.71 ×10^-20cm^2, this paper calculated the fluorescence lifetime to be 6 ms for ^5I7→^5Is transition, and the integrated emission cross section to be 2.24 × 10^-18 cm^2. It investigates the room-temperature Ho：YAP laser end-pumped by a 1.91-μm Tm：YLF laser. The maximum output power was 4.1 W when the incident 1.91-μm pump power was 14.4W. The slope efficiency is 40.8%, corresponding to an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 28.4%. The Ho：YAP output wavelength was centred at 2118 nm with full width at half maximum of about 0.8nm.

Promotion effect of H2 pretreatment on CeO2 catalyst for NH3-SCr reaction

In this study, the promotion effect of H2 pretreatment on the SCr performance of CeO2 catalyst was investigated based on the characterization results of Xrd, H2-TPr, raman and in situ drIFT *** crystallinity, higher reducibility and surface acidity can be found on CeO2-H catalyst. The results of drIFT study reveal that the pretreatment of CeO2 catalyst with H2 can facilitate the adsorption of NH3 and NOx species, while the adsorbed NOx is basically inactive in the NH3-SCr reaction. Moreover, the reaction mechanism of the NH3-SCr reaction over CeO2 catalyst is not changed by H2 pretreatment,which is mainly under the control of Eley-rideal（E-r） mechanism, The enhanced SCr performance of CeO2-H catalyst is mainly due to the promoted NH3 adsorption and the subsequent facilitation of SCr reaction through E-r pathway.

Lipoteichoic acids(LTAs)are macroamphiphiles composed of alditol,lipid,phosphate,and carbohydrate *** to their inherent complexity,it is a severe challenge to access LTAs with structural integrity from natural sources for biological or immunological ***,we describe the first total synthesis of Lactococcus garvieae LTA(type II LTA),containing five distinct 1,2-cis gluco/galactopyranosidic linkages,via a novel additive-modulated O-glycosyl trichloroacetimidate preactivation glycosidation *** strategy features(1)high glycosidation yields and excellent 1,2-cis stereoselectivities independent of the donor anomeric configuration,(2)common and inexpensive reagents as promoters and additives,(3)application to standard glycosyl imidate donors without resorting to participating protection,and(4)general application to reactive and less reactive glycosyl ***,via the precise stereocontrolled construction of three galactopyranosidic and two glucopyranosidic bonds on a multigram scale,a series of structurally well-defined LTA molecules were successfully *** evaluation of these type II synthetic LTAs showed a structure–activity relationship in the stimulation of a proinflammatory response.

Although many ionic liquids have been reported, their polarity is not completely understood. different empirical polarity scales for molecular solvents always lead to different polarity orders when they are applied on ionic liquids. Based on a literature survey, this review summarizes the recent polarity scales of ionic liquids according to the following 4 classes:(1) equilibrium and kinetic rate constants of chemical reactions;(2) empirical polar parameters of ionic liquids;(3) spectral properties of probe molecules;(4) multiparameter approaches. In addition, their interrelations are presented. A systematic understanding of the relationship between different polarity parameters of ionic liquids is of great importance for finding a universal set of parameters that can be used to predict the polarities of ionic liquids quantitatively. The potential utilization of the electron paramagnetic resonance in this field is also addressed.

Tire dynamics Modeling Method Based on rapid Test Method

Combined with the tire dynamics theoretical model,a rapid test method to obtain tire lateral and longitudinal both steady-state and transient characteristics only based on the tire quasi-steady-state test results is *** steady state data extraction,the test time of the rapid test method is half that of the conventional test *** transient tire characteristics the rapid test method omits the traditional tire test *** the mean time the accuracy of the two method is much *** rapid test method is explained theoretically and the test process is *** key parameters of tire are extracted and the comparison is made between rapid test and traditional test *** result show that the identification accuracy based on the rapid test method is almost equal to the accuracy of the conventional ***,the heat generated during the rapid test method and that generated during the conventional test are calculated *** comparison shows that the heat generated during the rapid test is much smaller than the heat generated during the conventional test *** benefits to the reduction of tire wear and the consistency of test ***,it can be concluded that the fast test method can efficiently,accurately and energy-efficiently measure the steady-state and transient characteristics of the tire.
