Lithium iron silicate （Li2FeSiO4） is capable of affording a much higher capacity than conventional cathodes, and thus, it shows great promise for high-energy battery applications. However, its capacity has often been adversely affected by poor reaction activity due to the extremely low electronic and ionic conductivity of silicates. Here, we for the first time report on a rational engineering strategy towards a highly active Li2FeSiO4 by designing a carbon nanotube （CNT） directed three-dimensional （3D） porous Li2FeSiO4 composite. As the CNT framework enables rapid electron transport, and the rich pores allow efficient electrolyte penetration, this unique 3D Li2FeSiO4-CNT composite exhibits a high capacity of 214 mAh·g^-1 and retains 96% of this value over 40 cycles, thus, outstripping many previously reported Li2FeSiO4-based materials. Kinetic analysis reveals a high Li＋ diffusivity due to coupling of the migration of electrons and ions. This research highlights the potential for engineering 3D porous structure to construct highly efficient electrodes for battery applications.

Objective:Neonates with congenital heart disease(CHD)and perinatal stroke have high mortality and survivors are at risk for poor long-term neurodevelopmental *** aim of this study was to assess the risk factors and outcome of neonates with both CHD and mRI-confirmed perinatal stroke(Study Group)and compare those to the risk factors and outcome of infants matched for CHD without stroke(Control-1)and of infants matched for mRI-confirmed stroke without CHD(Control-2).methods:We conducted a population-based case-control study enrolling 28 term neonates with CHD and mRI-confirmed acute perinatal stroke born between 2007–2017 in the Central-Hungarian *** of the control groups included 56 *** Bayley Scales of Infant Development-II,the Brunet-Lézine test and the Binet Intelligence scales-V were used for neurodevelopmental follow-up at a median age of 61 ***:mortality was highest in the Study Group(25%compared to 5%and 2%,respectively,p=0.001).Adverse neurodevelopmental outcome was prevalent in the Study(53%)and Control-2 Groups(52%,p=0.03).Significantly different parameters among the three groups included Apgar scores,mode of delivery,gestational age at birth,cardiac interventions and twin *** a multivariable regression analysis adjusted for clinically relevant parameters,patients in the Study Group had significantly higher odds for mortality compared to patients in the Control-1 Group(OR:6.595%CI:1.1–39.4).Conclusions:Neonates with perinatal stroke and CHD are at a higher risk for dying compared to neonates with CHD without *** addition,the stroke-associated direct insult to the brain likely plays an important role in the development of neurodevelopmental morbidity in these patients.

Polymers constitute a series of materials that are essential for many processes such as: food transport, packaging and distribution, construction, etc. Hence, it is important to understand the variables that this process depends on. Experimental design is a powerful tool that enables the identification of variables that significantly influence a process through a matrix of experiments that a software constructs. With the aim of implementing ICTs in the learning—teaching process of polymers in a university group, the polymerization process system of PPmA (polymethylmethacrylate) is studied. The variables that affect the size of the Pearl are: temperature, reaction time and volumen of the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous phase. These variables are optimized through a Box-Behnken experimental design with three factors in three levels, achieving the construction of the response surface to optimize the process, obtaining a tridimensional equation that enables the prediction of the Pearl size through the values of the independent variables. Finally, the student acquires the competency of manipulating the variables that affect the polymerization process to optimize the process. For this reason, Design Expert is a valuable ICT tool in the learning-teaching process of polymerization systems.

The aim of this paper is to explore the major issues involved in introducing sustainability concepts into university curricula in an interdisciplinary manner, through Systems Thinking. It is generally accepted that a holistic approach is essential in sustainability studies, but teaching such a new and complex topic to a diverse student population is by no means easy. In this study, sustainability is viewed in the context of Systems Thinking, particularly in Complexity management domain. A general framework is proposed with the intension of guiding potential instructors who are planning to teach sustainability through Systems Thinking. The framework includes only the suggested systems-oriented material and a review of some system methodologies; it does not cover sustainability issues. methodologies known as System Dynamics and Soft Cybernetics are explored and emphasized particularly in the paper due to their importance. The framework is kept general enough so that it appeals to students and instructors with a variety of background.

In the rat, the taste system plays a critical role in motivating the animal to consume nutrients and avoid toxic substances. In neonatal rat the orofacial movements can be modified by the application of sucrose and quinine in the mouth, producing ingestion or rejection responses, respectively, but there is no information available on the gusto facial reflexes (GFR) under perinatal fasting. The aim of the present study was to determine how undernutrition can affect the development of orofacial responses to sucrose, quinine, and NaCl during early development. Pregnant dams were undernourished by being given 50% of a balanced diet from G6 to G12, 60% from G13-G18, and 100% from G19-G21. On postpartum days 0 - 9, prenatally underfed (UG) pups continued the undernourishment by remaining for 12 h with a foster dam and 12 h with a nipple-ligated mother. Stimuli were presented as a single droplet of sucrose (S), sodium chloride (NaCl), quinine hydrochloride (Q), and water (W) onto the lips at 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 days of age, and mouth-opening frequency (mO) and lip-licking frequency (ll) were analyzed. The results show consistent effects associated with age, but not with diet, except in the cases of 0.01 m Q, which provoked in the UG subjects increased mO and the reduction of ll, and 0.1 m Q, which consistently reduced both responses. moreover, S provoked increases in both mO and ll at 0.1 m while NaCl and water elicited minimal effects on GFR. These data suggest that perinatal undernutrition affects the basic components of the gustatory system necessary to produce GFR in the first postnatal days by possibly interfering with the integration of taste input for food learning and the hedonic aspects of gustatory cues.

FLATmodel is a 2D finite volume code that contains several original approaches to improve debris-flow simulation. Firstly, FLATmodel incorporates a "stop-and-go" technique in each cell to allow continuous collapses and remobilizations of the debris-flow mass. Secondly, flow velocity and consequently yield stress is directly associated with the type of rheology to improve boundary accuracy. Thirdly, a simple approach for entrainment is also included in the model to analyse the effect of basal erosion of debris flows. FLATmODEL was tested at several events that occurred in the Eastern Pyrenees and simulation results indicated that the model can represent rather well the different characteristics observed in the field.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of an educational intervention to improve knowledge and skills in taking Pap smear conducted by health staff implementing the program on Early Detection of Cervical Cancer. methods: A quasiexperimental, longitudinal and prospective study, held from October 25 2010 to April 11, 2011 at a hospital in San Luis Potosi, mexico. To select groups applied a non-probabilistic convenience sampling that was composed of 28 people, 15 for the study group and 13 to the control group. The study group received training that was divided into three phases in which assessed the knowledge and skills taking the smear, the control group received conventional training offered by your workplace. Papanicolaou quality was measured before and after the intervention. The reference used international classification system Bethesda 2001. For data analysis we used the student t test. Results: The study group increased knowledge (t = 8.768, p = 0.000) in the management of official standards, in the anatomy of the lower female genital tract and in the form of testing. Technical skills (t = 8.639, p = 0.000) also increased in the study group after the intervention. The control group showed no significant changes. The quality report of the samples in the study group increased from 60% to 86.7% and in the control group decreased from 92.3% to 84.6%. Conclusions: The training is effective in improving the knowledge and skills in taking Pap. Health staff who received the training improved their performance and showed more interest in providing high quality service to women.

BACKGROUND Non-invasive assessment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)is increasing in desirability due to the invasive nature and costs associated with the current form of assessment;liver *** multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging(mpmRI)to measure liver fat(proton density fat fraction)and fibroinflammatory disease[iron-corrected T1(cT1)],as well as elastography techniques[vibration-controlled transient elastography(VCTE)liver stiffness measure],magnetic resonance elastography(mRE)and 2D Shear-Wave elastography(SWE)to measure stiffness and fat(controlled attenuated parameter,CAP)are emerging alternatives which could be utilised as safe surrogates to liver *** To evaluate the agreement of non-invasive imaging modalities with liver biopsy,and their subsequent diagnostic accuracy for identifying NASH *** From January 2019 to February 2020,Japanese patients suspected of NASH were recruited onto a prospective,observational study and were screened using noninvasive imaging techniques;mpmRI with LivermultiScan®,VCTE,mRE and *** were subsequently biopsied,and samples were scored by three independent *** diagnostic performances of the non-invasive imaging modalities were assessed using area under receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)with the median of the histology scores as the gold standard *** between all three independent pathologists was further explored using Krippendorff’s alpha(a)from weighted kappa *** N=145 patients with mean age of 60(SD:13 years.),39%females,and 40%with body mass index≥30 kg/m2 were included in the *** identifying patients with NASH,mR liver fat and cT1 were the strongest performing individual measures(AUC:0.80 and 0.75 respectively),and the mpmRI metrics combined(cT1 and mR liver fat)were the overall best non-invasive test(AUC:0.83).For identifying fibrosis≥1,mRE performed best(AUC:0.97),compared to VCTE-liver stiffness measure(AU
