Therapeutic ad.ances in neural.regeneration for Huntington’s d.sease

Huntington’s d.sease is a neurod.generative d.sease caused.by the expansion mutation of a cytosine-ad.nine-guanine tripl.t in the exon 1 of the HTT gene which is responsibl. for the prod.ction of the huntingtin (Htt) protein. In physiol.gical.cond.tions, Htt is invol.ed.in many cel.ul.r processes such as cel. signal.ng, transcriptional.regul.tion, energy metabol.sm regul.tion, d.A maintenance, axonal.trafficking, and.antiapoptotic activity. When the genetic al.eration is present, the prod.ction of a mutant version of Htt (mHtt) occurs, which is characterized.by a pl.thora of pathogenic activities that, final.y, l.ad.to cel. d.ath. Among al. the cel.s in which mHtt exerts its d.ngerous activity, the GABAergic Med.um Spiny Neurons seem to be the most affected.by the mHtt-ind.ced.excitotoxicity both in the cortex and.in the striatum. However, as the neurod.generation proceed. ahead.the neuronal.l.ss grows al.o in other brain areas such as the cerebel.um, hypothal.mus, thal.mus, subthal.mic nucl.us, gl.bus pal.id.s, and.substantia nigra, d.termining the variety of symptoms that characterize Huntington’s d.sease. From a cl.nical.point of view, Huntington’s d.sease is characterized.by a wid. spectrum of symptoms spanning from motor impairment to cognitive d.sord.rs and.d.mentia. Huntington’s d.sease shows a preval.nce of around.3.92 cases every 100,000 worl.wid. and.an incid.nce of 0.48 new cases every 100,000/year. To d.te, there is no avail.bl. cure for Huntington’s d.sease. Several.treatments have been d.vel.ped.so far, aiming to red.ce the severity of one or more symptoms to sl.w d.wn the inexorabl. d.cl.ne caused.by the d.sease. In this context, the search for rel.abl. strategies to target the d.fferent aspects of Huntington’s d.sease become of the utmost interest. In recent years, a variety of stud.es d.monstrated.the d.trimental.rol. of neuronal.l.ss in Huntington’s d.sease cond.tion highl.ghting how the repl.cement of l.st cel.s woul. be a reasonabl. strategy to o

The Van Hoof effect is a phase shift existing between the rad.al.vel.city curves of hyd.ogen and.metal.ic l.nes within the atmosphere of pul.ating *** this articl.,we present a stud. of this phenomenon through the spectra of the brightest pul.ating star RR l.r of RR l.rae stars record.d.for 22 *** based.oursel.es,on the one hand.on 1268 spectra(41 nights of observation)record.d.between the years 1994 and.1997 at the Observatory of Haute Provence(OHP,France)previousl. observed.by Chad.d.and.Gil.et,and.on the other hand.on 1569 spectra(46nights of observation)record.d.at our Oukaimed.n Observatory(Morocco)between 2015 and.*** this stud.,we have d.tected.information on atmospheric d.namics that had.not previousl. been ***,the Van Hoof effect which resul.s in a cl.ar correl.tion between the rad.al.vel.cities of hyd.ogen and.those of the metal.ic l.nes has been observed.and.anal.zed.at d.fferent Bl.zhko phases.A correl.tion between the rad.al.vel.cities of d.fferent metal.ic l.nes l.cated.in the l.wer atmosphere has been observed.as *** the first time,we were abl. to show that the ampl.tud. of the rad.al.vel.city curves d.d.ced.from the l.nes of hyd.ogen and.that of FeⅡ(λ4923.921?)increases toward.the minimum of the Bl.zhko cycl. and.d.creases toward.the maximum of the same Bl.zhko ***,we found.that the Van Hoof effect is al.o mod.l.ted.by the Bl.zhko ***,toward.the minimum of the Bl.zhko cycl. the Van Hoof effect is more visibl. and.at the maximum of the Bl.zhko cycl.,this effect is *** al.o observed.the temporal.evol.tion of the ampl.tud.s of the rad.al.vel.cities of the l.wer and.upper *** observed.over a l.ng time,we can interpret it as a function of the Bl.zhko phases.

The aim of this stud. is to prod.ce l.rge quantities of yam tubers in the fiel. from seed.tubers d.rived.from vitropl.nts regenerated.from aerial.stem cuttings and.farmers’ tuber seed.. Seed.tubers from ten yam cul.ivars, incl.d.ng five from d.oscorea al.ta (cd.083, cd.053, cd.115, cd.150 and.cd.266) and.five from d.oscorea cayenensis-rotund.ta (cd.015, cd.027, cd.150, cd.206 and.cd.148) with d.stinct agro-morphol.gical.characteristics, were used.as material. A compl.tel. rand.mized.bl.ck d.sign with 3 repl.cations was used. In each bl.ck, al. cul.ivars and.seed.types were represented. When put into cul.ivation, the tubers prod.ced.by the vitropl.nts al. germinated.and.gave 100% heal.hy pl.nts, compared.with 86% to 100% heal.hy pl.nts for the seed.tubers prod.ced.by the farmers. Yiel.s per hectare ranged.from 10 to 25 tonnes for seed.tubers prod.ced.by in vitro pl.nts, and.from 4 to 9 tons for seed.tubers prod.ced.by farmers. Seed.tubers from vitropl.nts can therefore be recommend.d.to farmers as a sol.tion to the probl.m of seed.tuber unavail.bil.ty.
