Impact of next-nearest leading vehicles on followers’ driving behaviours and traffic stability in mixed traffic

There has been an increase in the number of on-road vehicles of all types,especially in some developing *** rise of traffic heterogeneity causes larger mixed traffic conge *** study examines the impact of next-nearest leading vehicles on the driving of following drivers in mixed *** previous studies reported that traffic stability can be improved with the introduction of followers’anticipatory driving that refers to multiple leaders,the effect of anticipatory driving on mixed traffic has not yet been *** data collected from experiments conducted with groups of two and three vehicles,we found that operational delay,maximum acceleration and deceleration of the followers were affected by the presence of next-nearest *** addition,we developed regression models of the affected followers’behaviours with respect to the next-nearest leaders and identified the factors affecting these *** example,the followers’deceleration is directly affected by the height of the next-nearest leading ***,the model parameters for determining the deceleration of following vehicles should take the height of the next-nearest leading vehicle into ***,based on the regression models,we estimated values of parameters in the intelligent driver model when the type of the next-nearest leader was *** analysis based on these estimated parameters implied that a tall or short next-nearest leader with a large engine power would stabilise traffic when anticipatory driving of followers is possible.

Objective:Stenting for coronary artery disease is generally accepted as a percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI),but there remain many challenges with this *** coronary atherectomy(DCA)can reduce plaque volume,and its use alone or in combination with drug-coated balloons can reduce stent ***,clinical studies on DCA are limited,and its safety and effectiveness remain *** aimed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the new DCA device-ATHEROCUT with intravascular ultrasound(IVUS)***:Between May 2015 and May 2018,45 patients with 48 lesions were treated electively with ATHEROCUT in kusatsu heart *** retrospectively analyzed in-hospital major adverse cardiac events(MACE),overall clinical follow-up MACE,complications rate,and dual antiplatelet therapy(DAPT)*** definition of MACE included cardiac death,myocardial infarction,and target lesion revascularization(TLR).Our definition of complications included coronary perforation,thrombosis,and major ***:The overall follow-up rate was 95.6%,and the average follow-up period was 453±320 ***-hospital and overall MACE rates were 2.2%(TLR 0)and 11.1%(TLR 8.9%),*** were no complications,except for one cerebral hemorrhage case(2.1%),which was considered irrelevant to the PCI *** DAPT duration was 8.3±8.3 months,only 4.8±4.9 months in the subgroup that did not require another ***:Using the ATHEROCUT device with IVUS guidance is safe,might be effective in selected patients and can shorten the DAPT period.

The purpose of this research is a quantitative analysis of movement patterns of dance, which cannot be analyzed with a motion capture system alone, using simultaneous measurement of body motion and biophysical information. In this research, two kinds of same leg movement are captured by simultaneous measurement; one is a leg movement with given strength, the other is a leg movement without strength on condition of basic experiment using optical motion capture and electromyography （EMG） equipment in order to quantitatively analyze characteristics of leg movement. Also, we measured the motion of the traditional Japanese dance using the constructed system. We can visualize leg movement of Japanese dance by displaying a 3D CG character animation with motion data and EMG data. In addition, we expect that our research will help dancers and researchers on dance through giving new information on dance movement which cannot be analyzed with only motion capture.

Characterization of Orchard Fields Based on Soil Fertility Index (SOFIX)

Soil samples from 139 agricultural orchard fields (apple, grape, tea, and others) were analyzed using the soil fertility index. From these samples, an orchard field database was constructed and the soil properties between orchard, upland, and paddy fields were compared. The average value of bacterial biomass in the orchard fields was 7.4 × 108 cells/g-soil, ranging from not detected (lower than 6.6 × 106 cells/g-soil) to 7.7 × 109 cells/g-soil. The average values of total carbon (TC), total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), and total potassium (TK), were 24,000 mg/kg (2670 to 128,100 mg/kg), 1460 mg/kg (133 to 6400 mg/kg), 1030 mg/kg (142 to 5362 mg/kg), and 5370 mg/kg (1214 to 18,155 mg/kg), respectively. The C/N and C/P ratios were 19 (3 to 85) and 27 (2 to 101), respectively. Soil properties of the orchard fields were compared with those of the upland and the paddy fields. The average value of bacterial biomass in the orchard fields was almost the same as that in the upland fields (8.0 × 108 cells/g-soil), but the number was lower than that in the paddy fields (12.9 × 108 cells/g-soil). The average values of TC and TN in the orchard fields fell between those in the upland fields (TC: 33,120 mg/kg, TN: 2010 mg/kg) and the paddy fields (TC: 15,420 mg/kg, TN: 1080
