Classification COVID-19 Based on Enhancement X-Ray Images and Low Complexity Model

COVID-19 has been considered one of the recent epidemics that occurred at the last of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 that world *** spread of COVID-19 requires a fast technique for diagnosis to make the appropriate decision for the treatment.X-ray images are one of the most classifiable images that are used widely in diagnosing patients’data depending on radiographs due to their structures and tissues that could be *** Neural Networks(CNN)is the most accurate classification technique used to diagnose COVID-19 because of the ability to use a different number of convolutional layers and its high classification *** using CNNs techniques requires a large number of images to learn and obtain satisfactory *** this paper,we used SqueezNet with a modified output layer to classify X-ray images into three groups:COVID-19,normal,and *** this study,we propose a deep learning method with enhance the features of X-ray images collected from Kaggle,Figshare to distinguish between COVID-19,Normal,and Pneumonia *** this regard,several techniques were used on the selected image samples which are Unsharp filter,Histogram equal,and Complement image to produce another view of the *** Squeeze Net CNN model has been tested in two scenarios using the 13,437 X-ray images that include 4479 for each type(COVID-19,Normal and Pneumonia).In the first scenario,the model has been tested without any enhancement on the *** achieved an accuracy of 91%.But,in the second scenario,the model was tested using the same previous images after being improved by several techniques and the performance was high at approximately 95%.The conclusion of this study is the used model gives higher accuracy results for enhanced images compared with the accuracy results for the original images.A comparison of the outcomes demonstrated the effectiveness of ourDLmethod for classifying COVID-19 based on enhanced X-ray images.

Study of Symmetry Process Behavior in Fractal Gray Image Compression by Traditional Method

This paperstudiesthe effect of symmetry process on the compression parameters of thefractal image compression technique proposed by *** kinds of tests have been conducted. The first all kind of the symmetry operations [0-7] were taken;while the second tests were concentrated on studying the effect of the following parameters Block Size, Step Size, Domain Size on the probability distribution of symmetry operation. The results show that the higher value of PSNR and the lower value of ET occur atevensymmetry operation only, but compression ratio is not affected with symmetry process. Also the occurrence probability of even symmetry is more than odd symmetry for all compression parameters. This behaviour can be utilized to reducethe encoding time to 50% with preserving PSNR.

Copper Ores in Mawat Ophiolite Complex (Part of ZSZ) NE Iraq

Ore microscopy study for some samples from Mawat complex NE Iraq (part of Zagros Suture Zone) showed the presence of copper ore minerals was irregularly distributed, mainly throughout the basic rocks of Mawat Ophiolite Complex. The main sulfides minerals identified were: chalcopyrite, pyrite, bornite, chalcocite and covellite. Iron hydroxides/oxides including goethite and magnetite were also observed associated with sulfide ore. Chalcopyrite and pyrite were the main primary minerals from which other ores were formed. They were originated at the orthomagmatic stage, and also deposited from aqueous solution of final stage in the consolidation of a magma forming vein textures which was observed in many samples. Two types of pyrite generations were recognized. They were pre-tectonic pyrite and post-tectonic pyrite. The secondary recognized ore textures were rim, pseudo morph, zoning, relicts, atoll and vein replacement textures. Secondary textures resulting from exsolution were also presented. Three stages of mineralization could be concluded: orthomagmatic stage (Earliest), the hydrothermal activations stage (Hypogene) and the weathering stage (Supergene). Paragenaticaly, the primary copper sulfides including chalcopyrite and bornite were responsible for other copper ores formation. These minerals were observed disseminated throughout the host mafic rocks which were considered as endogenic deposits (magmatic and hypogene origin) and they were modified as small patches of chalcocite and covellite.

Iraq highly depends on its surface water resources. Now it is facing water shortage problems. For these reasons, the utilization of groundwater will be increasing with time. Karbala Governorate is located in the central part of Iraq. It covers an area of 5034 km2 and the population exceeds one million. It is characterized by an arid or semiarid environment. Karbala Governorate lack surface water resource and consequently, groundwater is the only available resource. The main groundwater aquifer within the area is Dibdibba formation. It is composed of poorly sorted sand and sand stone with gravel. In this research hydrological and hydrogeological information were used to find out the magnitude and the direction of groundwater seepage velocity. The results indicate that groundwater flow toward the flood plain to the east of the study region. The seepage velocity ranges from 0 to 0.18 m/d, with a general increase when moving from the west to the east.

Performance Simulation of a Double Tube Heat Exchanger Based on Different Nanofluids by Aspen Plus

A heat exchanger’s performance depends heavily on the operating fluid’s transfer of heat capacity and thermal *** nanoparticles of high thermal conductivity materials is a significant way to enhance the heat transfer fluid’s thermal *** research used engine oil containing alumina(Al_(2)O_(3))nanoparticles and copper oxide(CuO)to test whether or not the heat exchanger’s efficiency could be *** establish the most effective elements for heat transfer enhancement,the heat exchangers thermal performance was tested at 0.05%and 0.1%concentrations for Al_(2)O_(3)and CuO *** simulation results showed that the percentage increase in Nusselt number(Nu)for nanofluid at 0.05%particle concentration compared to pure oil was 9.71%for CuO nanofluids and 6.7%for Al_(2)O_(3)*** 0.1%concentration,the enhancement percentage in Nu was approximately 23%for CuO and 18.67%for Al_(2)O_(3)nanofluids,*** a concentration of 0.1%,CuO nanofluid increased the LMTD and overall heat transfer coefficient(U)by 7.24 and 5.91%*** the overall heat transfer coefficient(U)and the heat transfer coefficient(hn)for CuO nanofluid at a concentration of 0.1%increased by 5.91%and 10.68%,*** effectiveness(εn)of a heat exchanger was increased by roughly 4.09%with the use of CuO nanofluid in comparison to Al_(2)O_(3)at a concentration of 0.1%.The amount of exergy destruction in DTHX goes down as Re and volume fractions go ***,at 0.05%and 0.1%nanoparticle concentrations,the percentage increase in dimensionless exergy is 10.55%and 13.08%,***,adding the CuO and Al_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles improved the thermal conductivity of the main fluid(oil),resulting in a considerable increase in the thermal performance and rate of heat transfer of a heat exchanger.

Application of the HELP Model for Landfill Design in Arid Areas: Case Study Babylon Governorate, Iraq

The landfill design is necessary to be implemented in various regions to protect public human health and the factors of environment. The suggested design of landfill was performed in the arid areas, where that Babylon Governorate, Iraq was selected as a case study. Babylon Governorate is located in the middle of Iraq. The suggested design for the selected sites for landfill in the arid areas was consisted of the base liner and final cover systems. The HELP 3.95D model was applied on both systems to check if there is any leakage by leachate from the suggested soil layers of landfill base on the water balance in Babylon Governorate for the years 2005-2016. The suggested design of final cover system was implemented based on weather parameters in the arid areas through storing water that coming from the surface within upper layers that have fine particles and over the top barrier without leakage into the waste body, thereby preventing leachate generation. This is allowing to the stored water to evaporate from the surface of soil or transpire through vegetation due to the high temperature during the most months in the study area. The results showed there was no percolation of leachate through the base liner system. The design of final cover system was acted to reduce the runoff on the surface and increase the actual evaporation.
