Purpose:The purpose of the National Spinal Cord Injury Registry of Iran(NSCIR-IR)is to create an infrastructure to assess the quality of care for spine trauma and in this study,we aim to investigate whether the NSCIR-IR successfully provides necessary post-discharge follow-up data for these ***:An observational prospective study was conducted from April 11,2021 to April 22,2022 in 8 centers enrolled in NSCIR-IR,respectively Arak,Rasht,Urmia,Shahroud,Yazd,Kashan,Tabriz,and *** were classified into 3 groups based on their need for care resources,respectively:(1)non-spinal cord injury(SCI)patients without surgery(group 1),(2)non-SCI patients with surgery(group 2),and(3)SCI patients(group 3).The assessment tool was a self-designed questionnaire to evaluate the care quality in 3 phases:pre-hospital,in-hospital,and *** data from the first 2 phases were collected through the *** post-hospital data were collected by conducting follow-up *** follow-ups were conducted for groups 1 and 2(non-SCI patients),while group 3(SCI patients)had a face-to-face *** study took place during the COVID-19 *** on age and time interval from injury to follow-up were expressed as mean±standard deviation(SD)and response rate and follow-up loss as a ***:Altogether 1538 telephone follow-up records related to 1292 patients were registered in the *** the total calls,918(71.05%)were related to successful follow-ups,but 38 cases died and thus were excluded from data *** the end,post-hospital data from 880 patients alive were *** success rate of follow-ups by telephone for groups 1 and 2 was 73.38%and 67.05%respectively,compared to 66.67%by face-to-face visits for group 3,which was very hard during the COVID-19 *** data completion rate after discharge ranged from 48%-100%,22%-100%and 29%-100%for groups ***:To improve patient accessibility,NSCIR-IR should take me

Study on the Balance of Agricultural Water and Land Resources on Ningxia Plain

The article puts forward the process and means of regional water and land balance research, and then from two scenarios which are the balances under natural regulation and human intervention, calculated and analysed the balance between water and land on Ningxia Plain. For the balance under natural regulation named farmland water balance, using farmland water resource balance equation, the research estimated the monthly farmland water balance of 8 major crops for all of the 12 counties on Ningxia Plain in the period of 1960-2001; for the balance under human intervention, the research estimated land-use water balance equation of the counties in 2000, and calculated the balance between land use and water resources including irrigating water of all the 12 counties on Ningxia Plain. Results showed that①precipitation can not meet the water demand of the crops for growth and development on Ningxia Plain, and water shortage is the primary character of farmland water balance under natural regulation,②the diversity of water and land balance of different counties is distinctly influenced by the crop structure, water quantity for irrigation and irrigation level.③Irrigation water could meet the crop water demand on Ningxia Plain in 2000, but there was not much space to expand irrigating cultivated land.

Realized volatility forecast of financial futures using timevarying HAR latent factor models

A three-level mobility management scheme for hierarchical mobile IPv6 networks

Performance evaluation shows that Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 (HMIPv6) cannot outperform standard Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6) in all scenarios. Thus, adaptive protocol selection under certain circumstances is desired. Moreover, it is necessary to balance the load among different Mobility Anchor Points (MAPs). This paper proposes an efficient three-level hierarchical ar- chitecture for mobility management in HMIPv6 networks, in which a mobile node (MN) may register with either a higher/lower MAP or its home agent according to its speed and the number of connecting correspondent nodes (CNs). An admission control algorithm and a replacement algorithm are introduced to achieve load balancing between two MAP levels and among different MAPs within the same MAP level. Admission control is based on the number of CNs but not MNs that an MAP serves. In case there is no capacity for an MN, the MAP chooses an existing MN to be replaced. The replaced MN uses the MAP selection al- gorithm again to choose another mobility agent. Simulation results showed that the proposed scheme achieves better performance not only in reducing the signaling overhead, but also in load balancing among different MAPs.

The Dominant Language in Language Contact

The English and Chinese languages are languages developing in the constant contact with other languages. Both countries experienced foreign or exotic invasion and conquest. In Britain, the language of the conquerors was adopted, while in China, the language of the conquered was honored. One reason is the preference of the particular ruler, the other reason is the level of culture or civilization. From the histories of the English language and the Chinese language, it can be seen that no language acquires importance because of what is assumed to be purely internal advantage. The choice is made by people imitating those with prestige or power in their society.

Preconcentration and Determination of Chromium Species Using Octadecyl Silica Membrane Disks and Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry

A novel and selective method for the fast determination of trace amounts of chromium species in water samples has been developed. The procedure is based on the selective formation of chromium diethyldithiocarbamate complexes at different pH in the presence of Mn（Ⅱ） as an enhancement agent of chromium signals followed by elution with organic eluents and determination by atomic flame absorption spectrometry. The maximum capacity of the employed disks was found to be （396±3） pg and （376±2） pg for Cr（Ⅲ） and Cr（Ⅵ）, respectively. The detection limit of the proposed method is 49 and 43 ng·L^-1 for Cr（Ⅲ） and Cr（Ⅵ）, respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied for determination of chromium species Cr（Ⅲ） and Cr（Ⅵ） in different water samples.

Thermostable ethanol tolerant xylanase from a cold-adapted marine species Acinetobacter johnsonii

A xylanase-producing bacterium, isolated from deep sea sediments, was identified as the cold-adapted marine species Acinetobacter Johnsonii. A cold-adapted marine species Acinetobacter Johnsonii could grow at 4 ℃. The optimum temperature and pH of xylanase from a cold-adapted marine species Acinetobacter Johnsonii were 55 ℃ and pH 6.0. Xylanase from a cold-adapted marine species Acinetobacter Johnsonii remained at 80% activity after incubation for 1 h at 65 ℃. The xylanase activity was 1.2-fold higher in 4% ethanol solution than in ethanol free solution. Gibbs free energy of denaturation, ΔG, was higher in 4% ethanol solution than in ethanol free solution. Thermostable ethanol tolerant xylanase was valuable for bioethanol production by simultaneous saccharification and fermentation process with xylan as a carbon source.

Terahertz generation from Si3N4 covered photoconductive dipole antenna

We observe enhanced terahertz (THz) radiation generated from a Si3N4 film-coated GaAs photoconductive dipole antenna. Compared to an uncoated antenna with identical electrode geometry and optical excitation power, the Si3N4 film-coated antenna has a higher effective DC resistance and larger breakdown voltage. As a result, the peak amplitude of generated THz radiation is significantly enhanced due to the Si3N4 film-coated layer.
