Although federated learning(FL)has become very popular recently,it is vulnerable to gradient leakage *** studies have shown that attackers can reconstruct clients’private data from shared models or *** existing works focus on adding privacy protection mechanisms to prevent user privacy leakages,such as differential privacy(DP)and homomorphic *** defenses may cause an increase in computation and communication costs or degrade the performance of ***,they do not consider the impact of wireless network resources on the FL training ***,we propose weight compression,a defense method to prevent gradient leakage attacks for FL over wireless *** gradient compression matrix is determined by the user’s location and channel *** also add Gaussian noise to the compressed gradients to strengthen the *** joint learning of wireless resource allocation and weight compression matrix is formulated as an optimization problem with the objective of minimizing the FL loss *** find the solution,we first analyze the convergence rate of FL and quantify the effect of the weight matrix on FL ***,we seek the optimal resource block(RB)allocation by exhaustive search or ant colony optimization(ACO)and then use the CVX toolbox to obtain the optimal weight matrix to minimize the optimization *** simulation results show that the optimized RB can accelerate the convergence of FL.

Objective:The purpose of this study is to evaluate our experience with endoscopic repair of ossicular discontinuity at the incudostapedial joint,with or without an intact stapes suprastructure,and present our hearing *** classify results based on the causative pathology,the type of ossiculoplasty,and type of *** demonstrate the ability to endoscopically place a total ossicular replacement prosthesis (TORP),measuring 4.25 mm,between the stapes footplate and the incus remnant to reestablish ossicular ***:This was a retrospective case series conducted in tertiary referral center (Hopital de la Timone) Marseille,France.25 patients underwent incudostapedial rebridging ossiculoplasty between 2009 and *** cases of chronic otitis media and 10 otosclerosis revisions were included in the *** different materials were used in ossiculoplasty,hydroxyapatite cement,incus remnant,and partial/total ossicular replacement *** results were evaluated before and after *** month follow-up data is ***:The mean postoperative air-bone gap was 15 dB (5-25 dB).Hearing results were better inotosclerosis *** cement produced an air-bone gap of 5 dB,TORP placed under the incus produced a 12 dB gap,and TORP placed under the malleus resulted in a 12 dB gap and one deaf *** cases of chronic otitis media,the residual air-bone gap was 17 dB with PORP,12 dB with TORP,and 20 dB with incus ***:The hydroxyapatite cement is effective in the reconstruction of ossicular discontinuity but the high price limits its *** placed under the incus is a reliable and stable method of ossicular reconstruction that is cost effective and offers satisfactory hearing results in selected patients.

Histone-like nucleoid-structuring(H-NS)proteins are key regulators in gene expression silencing and in nucleoid *** H-NS family member proteins MvaU in Pseudomonas aeruginosa are thought to bind the same AT-rich regions of chromosomes and function to coordinate the control of a common set of ***,we explored the molecular mechanism by which MvaU controls PCA biosynthesis in *** *** present evidence suggesting that MvaU is *** of mvaU significantly increased PCA production,and PCA production sharply decreased when mvaU was *** transcriptionally repressed phz2 cluster expression and consequently reduced PCA biosynthesis.β-galactosidase assays confirmed that base pairing near the􀀀35 box is required when MvaU regulates PCA production in *** mobility shift assays(EMSA)and additional point mutation analysis demonstrated that MvaU directly bound to an AT-rich motif within the promoter of the phz2 *** immunoprecipitation(ChIP)analysis also indicated that MvaU directly bound to the P5 region of the phz2 cluster *** repression of PCA biosynthesis was independent of QscR and OxyR in PA1201 and neither PCA or H2O2 were the environmental signals that induced mvaU *** findings detail a new MvaU-dependent regulatory pathway of PCA biosynthesis in PA1201 and provide a foundation to increase PCA fermentation titer by genetic engineering.

Impact regimes defined by projectile mass and velocity can produce very different characteristic target structural responses, and complex behaviour when the regime boundaries are crossed. This has previously been proven by experimental work. The objective of this work was to qualitatively model the experimentally observed impact behaviour, and to identify any deviation in trends between experiments and the simulation in terms of the type of response, but not in terms of material damage. An explicit FE commercial package was used to simulate the impact of a free flying projectile onto a flat aluminium plate, varying projectile mass and velocity, target span and thickness. Behaviour was characterized by prediction of projectile-target contact time, projectile rebound velocity and target maximum deflection at its mid-span. Two extreme conditions of low velocity/high mass and high velocity/low mass were simulated, and the transition between these two regimes was explored by incrementally varying mass and velocity. For low velocity/high mass, the simulation matched the main trends from the experimental work, with a classic quasi-static large scale global deflection type behaviour of sub first mode rebound. For high velocity/low mass, the agreement was less strong due to a lack of damage mechanics, but still confirming the response was localized to the contact zone. For the transitions between regimes, the simulation also matched the experimental work showing projectile-target intermittent contact when sweeping across the mass boundary, and a delay in global response when sweeping across the velocity boundary. Unlike the experimental work, the simulation allows the easy viewing of stress waves developing over time, which can be used to confirm and explain some of these observations.

In this paper, we prove a common fixed point theorem for a pair of weakly compatible mappings in fuzzy metric space using the joint common limit in the range property of mappings called (JCLR) property. An example is also furnished which demonstrates the validity of main result. We also extend our main result to two finite families of self mappings. Our results improve and generalize results of Cho et al. [Y. J. Cho, S. Sedghi and N. Shobe, “Generalized fixed point theorems for compatible mappings with some types in fuzzy metric spaces,” Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, Vol. 39, No. 5, 2009, pp. 2233-2244.] and several known results existing in the literature.

Copper nanoparticles were prepared by the chemical reduction *** copper particles were embedded into the polyvinylchloride(PVC)matrix as support and used as an electrode(PVC/Cu)for the oxidation of methanol fuel for improving the current *** PVC/Cu electrodes were characterized by thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA)for thermal stability of the electrode,X-ray diffraction(XRD)for identification of copper nanoparticles in the electrode,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)to identify the interaction between PVC and Cu and scan electron microscopy(SEM)with EDAX for the morphology of the *** electrocatalytic activity of the electrode was characterized by the cyclic voltammetry,linear sweep voltammetry,and chronoamperometry *** increase in the electrode activity was observed with the increase of copper quantity from 0.18 g(PVC/Cu-0.18 g)to 0.24 g(PVC/Cu-0.24 g)and the maximum was found at 0.24 g of copper in the ***,it was observed that the electrode achieved the maximum catalytic current in 0.5 mol/L CH3OH+1 mol/L Na OH *** identified that water molecules,C—H group,copper nanoparticle and its oxide were available in the *** images with EDAX showed that copper particles were properly embedded in the polyvinylchloride matrix.

Manganese is an essential micronutrient for all organisms;however at high concentrations it has a toxic effect. Manganese toxicity is a serious constraint to crop cultivation since it is taken-up by plants and can easily be passed into the food chain again causing symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. A fully validated square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry method has been developed for determination of Mn (II) as a complex with 2-(5’-bromo-2’-pyridylazo) 5-diethylaminophenol in aqueous solutions using a carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with montmorillonite-Na clay. The results showed that the modified CPE (90% (w/w) graphite powder and 10% (w/w) montmorillonite-Na clay) exhibited excellent electrochemical activity towards the investigated Mn (II) complex in acetate buffer of pH = 5.0. Factors affecting the performance of the modified carbon paste electrode and the sensitivity of the described square- wave stripping voltammetry method, including the electrode composition, concentration of ligand, pulse parameters and preconcentration conditions were examined. A detection limit (S/N = 3) of 0.015μg·L-1 (2.73 × 10-10 mol·L-1) Mn (II) was achieved when a preconcentration time of 240 s was applied. Insignificant interferences from various inorganic and organic species were estimated. The described square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry method coupled with the modified carbon paste electrode has been successfully applied to Mn (II) analysis in different water samples.
