Monogenic features of urolithiasis: A comprehensive review

Objective: Urolithiasis formation has been attributed to environmental and dietary factors. However, evidence is accumulating that genetic background can contribute to urolithiasis formation. Advancements in the identification of monogenic causes using high-throughput sequencing technologies have shown that urolithiasis has a strong heritable ***: This review describes monogenic factors implicated in a genetic predisposition to urolithiasis. Peer-reviewed journals were evaluated by a PubMed search until July 2023 to summarize disorders associated with monogenic traits, and discuss clinical implications of identification of patients genetically susceptible to urolithiasis ***: Given that more than 80% of urolithiases cases are associated with calcium accumulation, studies have focused mainly on monogenetic contributors to hypercalciuric urolithiases, leading to the identification of receptors, channels, and transporters involved in the regulation of calcium renal tubular reabsorption. Nevertheless, available candidate genes and linkage methods have a low resolution for evaluation of the effects of genetic components versus those of environmental, dietary, and hormonal factors, and genotypes remain undetermined in the majority of urolithiasis ***: The pathophysiology underlying urolithiasis formation is complex and multifactorial, but evidence strongly suggests the existence of numerous monogenic causes of urolithiasis in humans.

Microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors: sustainable solutions for a greener future

Microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors（PBRs） has emerged as a promising and sustainable approach to address various environmental and energy challenges, offering a multitude of benefits across diverse *** developments in microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors have contributed substantially to the development and optimization of sustainable bioprocesses. This review presents a comprehensive analysis of recent innovations and breakthroughs in the field of microalgae cultivation, with a specific focus on their application in photobioreactors, aimed at paving the way for a greener future. This study in-depth examines the advantages of microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors, concentrating on its effectiveness in wastewater treatment, CO2bioremediation, and the production of biofuels and high-value products. The review evaluates the effects of light,solar irradiation, temperature, nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in culture media, CO2concentrations, and pH on microalgae growth performance, including specific growth and biomass productivity. The study also examines open systems like unstirred ponds, raceway ponds, and circular ponds and closed systems like horizontal tubular, vertical bubble-column, airlift, flat panel, and plastic-bag photobioreactors, comparing their pros and cons. To optimize microalgae cultivation, key factors in photobioreactor design, including photosynthetic efficiencies, light/dark（L/D） cycles, CO2concentrations, mass transfer, hydrodynamics behavior, and p H, are extensively investigated. In addition, the review outlines recent developments in large-scale photobioreactors and highlights the challenges and opportunities associated with photobioreactor scale-up and design parameter optimization, including genetic engineering and economic feasibility. Several studies on functionally graded materials(FGMs)have been done by researchers,but few studies have dealt with the impact of the modification of the properties of materials with regard to the functional propagation of the waves in *** work aims to explore the effects of changing compositional characteristics and the volume fraction of the constituent of plate materials regarding the wave propagation response of thick plates of *** model is based on a higher-order theory and a new displacement field with four unknowns that introduce indeterminate integral variables with a hyperbolic arcsine *** FGM plate is assumed to consist of a mixture of metal and ceramic,and its properties change depending on the power functions of the thickness of the plate,such as linear,quadratic,cubic,and inverse *** utilizing Hamilton’s principle,general formulae of the wave propagation were obtained to establish wave modes and phase velocity curves of the wave propagation in a functionally graded plate,including the effects of changing compositional characteristics of materials.

Nitrate(NO_(3)^(-)),a nitrogen-containing pollutant,is prevalent in aqueous solutions,contributing to a range of environmental and health-related *** electrocatalytic reduction of NO_(3)^(-)holds promise as a sustainable approach to both eliminating NO_(3)^(-)and generating valuable ammonia(NH_(3)).Nevertheless,the reduction reaction of NO_(3)^(-)(NO_(3)^(-)RR),involving 8-electron transfer process,is intricate,necessitating highly efficient electrocatalysts to facilitate the conversion of NO_(3)^(-)to NH_(3).In this study,Fe-doped Co_(3)O_(4) nanowire strutted three-dimensional(3D)pinewood-derived carbon(Fe-Co_(3)O_(4)/PC)is proposed as a high-efficiency NO_(3)^(-)RR electrocatalyst for NH_(3) *** within 0.1 M NaOH containing NO_(3)^(-),Fe-Co_(3)O_(4)/PC demonstrates exceptional performance,obtain an impressively large NH_(3) yield of 0.55 mmol·h^(-1)·cm^(-2) and an exceptionally high Faradaic efficiency of 96.5%at-0.5 V,superior to its Co_(3)O_(4)/PC counterpart(0.2 mmol·h^(-1)·cm^(-2),73.3%).Furthermore,the study delves into the reaction mechanism of Fe-Co_(3)O_(4) for NO_(3)^(-)RR through theoretical calculations.

In this paper,the dust particle surface potential for argon-helium plasma is evaluated analytically and numerically in the context of negatively charged dust particles by employing a power-law(r,q)-distribution *** studies have reported the argon-helium plasma and conducted a brief theoretical and experimental *** deepen our understanding further,this study aims to analyze the argon-helium plasma comprehensively using the same pattern but with the(r,q)-distribution *** this purpose,the current balance equations are derived for electron,helium and argon ions,when these charge species attain the quasineutrality *** numerically examined the currents of plasma species for a broad range of effective distribution function parameters r and *** is revealed that the surface potential of dust particles is significantly affected by the parameters r and q,helium ion-to-electron temperature ratio,argon ion-to-electron temperature ratio,and helium ion to argon ion number density *** incorporating the multi-ion(argon-helium)species,the significance of low-temperature nonMaxwellian dusty(complex)plasma is briefly examined.

This paper aims to propose a fourth-order matrix spectral problem involving four potentials and generate an associated Liouville integrable hierarchy via the zero curvature formulation.A bi-Hamiltonian formulation is furnished by applying the trace identity and a recursion operator is explicitly worked out,which exhibits the Liouville integrability of each model in the resulting *** specific examples,consisting of novel generalized combined nonlinear Schrodinger equations and modified Korteweg-de Vries equations,are given.

Vision based intelligent traffic light management system using Faster R‐CNN

Transportation systems primarily depend on vehicular flow on roads. Developed coun-tries have shifted towards automated signal control, which manages and updates signal synchronisation automatically. In contrast, traffic in underdeveloped countries is mainly governed by manual traffic light systems. These existing manual systems lead to numerous issues, wasting substantial resources such as time, energy, and fuel, as they cannot make real‐time decisions. In this work, we propose an algorithm to determine traffic signal durations based on real‐time vehicle density, obtained from live closed circuit television camera feeds adjacent to traffic signals. The algorithm automates the traffic light system, making decisions based on vehicle density and employing Faster R‐CNN for vehicle detection. Additionally, we have created a local dataset from live streams of Punjab Safe City cameras in collaboration with the local police authority. The proposed algorithm achieves a class accuracy of 96.6% and a vehicle detection accuracy of 95.7%. Across both day and night modes, our proposed method maintains an average precision, recall, F1 score, and vehicle detection accuracy of 0.94, 0.98, 0.96 and 0.95, respectively. Our proposed work surpasses all evaluation metrics compared to state‐of‐the‐art methodologies.
