The compact and reliable ultraviolet[UV]source has attracted remarkable attention for its potential use in optical measurement systems,high-density optical storage,and biomedical *** demonstrate ultraviolet generation by frequency doubling in a lithium-tantalate-on-insulator[LTOI]microdisk via modal phase *** 50-μm-diameter microdisk was milled by a focused ion beam[FIB]and followed by chemo-mechanical polishing[CMP]to smooth the disk surface and edge,and the Q-factor reaches 2.74×10~5in the visible ***-chip UV coherent light with a wavelength of384.3 nm was achieved,which shows great promise for using LTOIs in integrated ultraviolet source platforms.

In this paper,we demonstrate efficient spontaneous quasi-phase matched(SQPM)second harmonic generation(SHG)in a microracetrack resonator on X-cut thin film lithium *** approach does not involve poling,but exploits the anisotropy of the crystals to allow the phase-matching condition to be fulfilled spontaneously as the TE-polarized light circulates in a specifically designed racetrack *** experiment,normalized on-chip conversion efficiencies of 1.01×10-4/W and 0.43×10-4/W are achieved by 37th-order and 111th-order SQPM,*** configurable SQPM will benefit the application of nonlinear frequency conversion and quantum source generation in chip-scale integrated photonics compatible with standard CMOS fabrication processes.

Internet and broadband applications driven by data traffic demand have become key dri- vers for satellite constellations. The key technology to satisfy the high capacity requirements between satellites is optical satellite networks by means of wavelength division multiplexing inter- satellite links （ISLs） with wavelength routing （WDM-OSN）. Due to the limited optical amplifier bandwidth onboard the satellite, it is important to minimize the wavelength requirements to provi- sion requests. However, ISLs should be dynamically established and deleted for each satellite according to its visible satellites. Furthermore, different link assignments will result in different topologies, hence yielding different routings and wavelength assignments. Thus, a perfect match model-based link assignment scheme （LAS-PMM） is proposed to design an appropriate topology such that shorter path could be routed and less wavelengths could be assigned for each ISL along the path. Finally, simulation results show that in comparison to the regular Manhattan street net- work （MSN） topology, wavelength requirements and average end-to-end delay based on the topol- ogy generated by LAS-PMM could be reduced by 24.8% and 12.4%, respectively.

Microcombs are revolutionizing optoelectronics by providing parallel, mutually coherent wavelengthchannels for time-frequency metrology and information processing. To implement this essential function inintegrated photonic systems, it is desirable to drive microcombs directly with an on-chip laser in a simpleand flexible way. However, two major difficulties have prevented this goal: (1) generating mode-lockedcomb states usually requires a significant amount of pump power and (2) the requirement to align laser andresonator frequency significantly complicates operation and limits the tunability of the comb lines. Here, weaddress these problems by using microresonators on an AlGaAs on-insulator platform to generate dark-pulsemicrocombs. This highly nonlinear platform dramatically relaxes fabrication requirements and leads to arecord-low pump power of systems.

In this paper, the effect of imperfect channel state information at the receiver, which is caused by noise and other interference, on the multi-access channel capacity is analysed through a statistical-mechanical approach. Replica analyses focus on analytically studying how the minimum mean square error （MMSE） channel estimation error appears in a multiuser channel capacity formula. And the relevant mathematical expressions are derived. At the same time, numerical simulation results are demonstrated to validate the Replica analyses. The simulation results show how the system parameters, such as channel estimation error, system load and signal-to-noise ratio, affect the channel capacity.

Integrated waveguides with slot structures have attracted increasing attention due to their advantages of tight mode confinement and strong light-matter *** extensively studied,the issue of mode mismatch with other strip waveguide-based optical devices is a huge challenge that prevents integrated waveguides from being widely utilized in large-scale photonic-based *** this paper,we demonstrate an ultra-compact low-loss slot-strip converter with polarization insensitivity based on the multimode interference(MMI)*** sinusoidal profiles are adopted to allow for smooth connection between the slot and strip waveguide,resulting reflection *** manipulating the MMI effect with structure optimization,the self-imaging positions of the TE0 and TM0 modes are aligned with minimized footprint,leading to low-loss transmission for both *** measurement results show that high coupling efficiencies of−0.40 and−0.64 dB are achieved for TE_(0) and TM_(0) polarizations,*** device has dimensions as small as 1.1μm×1.2μm and composed of factory-available *** above characteristics of our proposed compact slot-strip converter makes it a promising device for future deployment in multi-functional integrated photonics systems.

This article is focused on secure relay beamformer design with a correlated channel model in the relay-eavesdropper network. In this network, a single-antenna source-destination pair transmits secure information with the help of an amplify-and-forward (AF) relay equipped with multiple antennas, and the legitimate and eavesdropping channels are correlated. The relay cannot obtain the instantaneous channel state information (CSI) of the eavesdropper, and has only the knowledge of correlation information between the legitimate and eavesdropping channels. Depending on this information, we derive the conditional distribution of the eavesdropping channel. Two beamformers at the relay are studied for the approximate ergodic secrecy rate:(1) the generalized match-andforward (GMF) beamformer to maximize the legitimate channel rate, and (2) the general-rank beamformer (GRBF).In addition, one lower-bound-maximizing (LBM) beamformer at the relay is discussed for maximizing the lower bound of the ergodic secrecy rate. We find that the GMF beamformer is the optimal rank-one beamformer, that the GRBF is the iteratively optimal beamformer, and that the performance of the LBM beamformer for the ergodic secrecy rate gets close to that of the GRBF for the approximate secrecy rate. It can also be observed that when the relay has lower power or the channel gain of the second hop is low, the performance of the GMF beamformer surpasses that of the GRBF. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the beamformers' performance.
