The rapid development of the global economy and population growth are accompanied by the production of numerous waste *** leads to a waste of limited resources and serious environmental pollution problems caused by improper *** rational recycling of wasted textiles and their transformation into high-value-added emerging products,such as smart wearable devices,is ***,we propose a novel roadmap for turning waste cotton fabrics into three-dimensional elastic fiber-based thermoelectric aerogels by a one-step lyophilization process with decoupled self-powered temperature-compression strain dual-parameter sensing *** thermoelectric aerogel exhibits a fast compression response time of 0.2 s,a relatively high seebeck coefficient of 43μV·K^(-1),and an ultralow thermal conductivity of less than 0.04 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1).The cross-linking of trimethoxy(methyl)silane(MTMs)and cellulose endowed the aerogel with excellent elasticity,allowing it to be used as a compressive strain sensor for guessing games and facial expression *** addition,based on the thermoelectric effect,the aerogel can perform temperature detection and differentiation in self-powered mode with the output thermal voltage as the stimulus ***,the wearable system,prepared by connecting the aerogel-prepared array device with a wireless transmission module,allows for temperature alerts in a mobile phone application without signal interference due to the compressive strains generated during ***,our strategy is significant for reducing global environmental pollution and provides a revelatory path for transforming waste textiles into high-value-added smart wearable devices.

An obvious trend shift in the annual mean and winter mixed layer depth(MLD)in the Antarctic Circumpolar Current(ACC)region was detected during the 1960–2021 *** trends stopped in mid-1980s,followed by a period of weak *** MLD deepening trend difference between the two periods were mainly distributed in the western areas in the Drake Passage,the areas north to Victoria Land and Wilkes Land,and the central parts of the south Indian *** newly formed ocean current shear due to the meridional shift of the ACC flow axis between the two periods is the dominant driver for the MLD trends shift distributed in the western areas in the Drake Passage and the central parts of the south Indian *** saltier trends in the regions north to Victoria Land and Wilkes Land could be responsible for the strengthening mixing processes in this region.

Alfalfa(Medicago sativa.L.)is a globally significant autotetraploid legume forage ***,despite its importance,establishing efficient gene editing systems for cultivated alfalfa remains a formidable *** this study,we pioneered the development of a highly effective ultrasonic-assisted leaf disc transformation system for Gongnong 1 alfalfa,a variety widely cultivated in Northeast ***,we created a single transcript CRIsPR/Cas9(CRIsPR_2.0)toolkit,incorporating multiplex gRNAs,designed for gene editing in Gongnong *** Cas9 and gRNA scaffolds were under the control of the Arabidopsis ubiquitin-10 promoter,a widely employed polymeraseⅡconstitutive promoter known for strong transgene expression in *** assess the toolkit’s efficiency,we targeted PALM1,a gene associated with a recognizable multifoliate *** the CRIsPR_2.0 toolkit,we directed PALM1 editing at two sites in the wild-type Gongnong *** indicated a 35.1%occurrence of editing events all in target 2 alleles,while no mutations were detected at target 1 in the transgenic-positive *** explore more efficient sgRNAs,we developed a rapid,reliable screening system based on Agrobacterium rhizogenes-mediated hairy root transformation,incorporating the visible reporter *** screening system demonstrated that most purple visible hairy roots underwent gene ***,sgRNA3,with an 83.0%editing efficiency,was selected using the visible hairy root *** anticipated,tetra-allelic homozygous palm1 mutations exhibited a clear multifoliate *** palm1 lines demonstrated an average crude protein yield increase of 21.5%compared to trifoliolate *** findings highlight the modified CRIsPR_2.0 system as a highly efficient and robust gene editing tool for autotetraploid alfalfa.

Formation Mechanism of the Paleocene Basal Conglomerate, southwest Tarim Basin

Most knowledge about the Cretaceous–Paleogene strata in the Tarim Basin is mainly inferred from the outcrops at the basin's margin,but first time in the basin. The formation mechanism of the Paleocene basal conglomerate was determined using geochemical isotopes of the breccia from Well PBX1 in the southwestern Tarim Basin. The results showed that the global K/Pg(i.e., Cretaceous/Paleogene) clay layer boundary was located in the middle of the Paleocene basal conglomerate at the depth of 7 066.75 m in Well PBX1. In the Late Cretaceous, associated with volcanic activities and earthquakes, the caldera in the Well PBX1 Block formed an annular depression with large elevation differences in response to the Pamir Block collision. As a result, the collapsed breccia with storm tide genesis deposited at the periphery and inside of the depression, characterized by syn-sedimentary deformation. During the Paleocene, multiple sets of interbedded carbonate and collapsed breccia deposited in response to multi-phased transient transgression-regression cycles. The transportation of breccia exhibited near-source accumulation/extremely close or in-situ rapid accumulation. The studied region is located in the eastern end of the Tethys sea, the Late Cretaceous–Early Paleocene breccia is of great significance for reconstructing the paleogeography of the Tarim basin in Tethys.

Cultivating high-yield wheat under limited water resources is crucial for sustainable agriculture in semiarid *** water scarcity,plants activate drought response signaling,yet the delicate balance between drought tolerance and development remains *** genome-wide association studies and transcriptome profiling,we identified a wheat atypical basic helix-loop-helix(b HLH)transcription factor(TF),Tab HLH27-A1,as a promising quantitative trait locus candidate for both relative root dry weight and spikelet number per spike in *** HLH27-A1/B1/D1 knockout reduced wheat drought tolerance,yield,and water use efficiency(WUE).Tab HLH27-A1 exhibited rapid induction with polyethylene glycol(PEG)treatment,gradually declining over *** activated stress response genes such as Ta CBL8-B1 and Ta CPI2-A1 while inhibiting root growth genes like Ta sH15-B1 and Ta WRKY70-B1 under short-term PEG *** distinct transcriptional regulation of Tab HLH27-A1 involved diverse interacting factors such as Ta ABI3-D1 and Tab *** variations of Tab HLH27-A1influence its transcriptional responses to drought stress,with Tab HLH27-A1^(Hap-II)associated with stronger drought tolerance,larger root system,more spikelets,and higher WUE in ***,the excellent Tab HLH27-A1^(Hap-II)was selected during the breeding process in china,and introgression of Tab HLH27-A1^(Hap-II)allele improved drought tolerance and grain yield,especially under water-limited *** study highlights Tab HLH27-A1's role in balancing root growth and drought tolerance,providing a genetic manipulation locus for enhancing WUE in wheat.

Parameterization, sensitivity, and uncertainty of 1-D thermodynamic thin-ice thickness retrieval

Retrieval of Thin-Ice Thickness(TIT)using thermodynamic modeling is sensitive to the parameterization of the independent variables(coded in the model)and the uncertainty of the measured input *** article examines the deviation of the classical model’s TIT output when using different parameterization schemes and the sensitivity of the output to the ice ***,it estimates the uncertainty of the output in response to the uncertainties of the input *** parameterized independent variables include atmospheric longwave emissivity,air density,specific heat of air,latent heat of ice,conductivity of ice,snow depth,and snow *** input parameters include air temperature,ice surface temperature,and wind *** the independent variables,the results show that the highest deviation is caused by adjusting the parameterization of snow conductivity and depth,followed ice *** sensitivity of the output TIT to ice thickness is highest when using parameterization of ice conductivity,atmospheric emissivity,and snow conductivity and *** retrieved TIT obtained using each parameterization scheme is validated using in situ measurements and satellite-retrieved *** in situ measurements,the uncertainties of the measured air temperature and surface temperature are found to be *** resulting uncertainties of TIT are evaluated using perturbations of the input data selected based on the probability distribution of the measurement *** results show that the overall uncertainty of TIT to air temperature,surface temperature,and wind speed uncertainty is around 0.09 m,0.049 m,and−0.005 m,respectively.

Peracetic acid catalytic activation using CoOnanocluster decorated graphitic carbon nitride for cefapirin degradation in water

This study innovated cobalt-based catalytic nanocomposites （CCNs） for the heterogeneous activation of peracetic acid （PAA）,a green and efficient advanced oxidation process for removing antibiotics from *** Co3O4catalysts exhibit limited activity due to stable electronic *** overcome this,CCNs were synthesized using a one-step condensation method,incorporating a size control strategy that anchors Co3O4nanoclusters within 4?5 nm onto six-fold cavity of g-C3N4,simultaneously modifying the coordination environment of *** alteration significantly enhances the adsorption energy of PAA and catalytic activity compared to commercial *** improved performance of CCN2,in particular,is attributed to a shift in the cobalt d band center towards the Fermi level,facilitating electron delocalization and transfer,enhancing Co?O bonding,and accelerating PAA ***2’s superior activity,with a cefapirin （CFP） degradation kinetic rate constant (k1=0.760 min-1)～11 times that of PAA direct oxidation (k1=0.070 min-1) and～5 times that of commercial Co3O4/PAA system (k1=0.164 min-1),is due to its ability to generate dominant reactive species for antibiotic degradation,including alkoxy radicals(CH3C（=O）OO·),high valence metal (CoIV（=O）2+),and singlet oxygen （1O2）,with the latter two being crucial for the degradation *** degradation of CFP involved three mechanisms,including direct oxidation by PAA,decarboxylation,and open-ring reactions at nitrogen *** research provides insights into developing high-activity catalysts for efficient PAA activation and antibiotic removal,leveraging the strategy of shifting the transition metal d band center.

Understanding livelihood vulnerability:a perspective from western sichuan’s ethnic rural settings

To explore the livelihood status and key influencing factors of rural households in the minority areas,we collected flat data from 284 rural households in 32 villages across 12 counties of western sichuan from 2021 to *** conducted participatory household survey on the livelihood status of the rural households and try to identify the key factors to influence their livelihood vulnerability using multiple linear *** results showed that:the livelihood situation of the rural households is relatively *** vulnerability varies significantly with the income levels,education levels,and income *** vulnerability of farm households,categorized from low to high livelihood types,follows the sequence:non-agricultural dominant households,non-agricultural households,agricultural dominant households,and pure agricultural *** degree of damage to the natural environment,education costs,loan opportunities,the proportion of agricultural income to annual household income,and the presence of sick people in the household have significant positive effects on the livelihood vulnerability index(LVI)of rural households;while help from relatives and friends,net income per capita,household size,household education,agricultural land area,participation in industrial organizations,number of livestock,purchase of commercial houses,drinking water source,and self-supply of food have significant negative *** on the findings,we believe that local rural households operate in a complex livelihood system and recommend continuous interventions targeting key influences to provide empirical research support for areas facing similar situations.
