Design high-performance narrowband emitters for blue light-emitting diodes through manipulating resonance structure of aromatic heterocycles

Narrowband light-emitting materials play critical roles in improving the color gamut and energy consumption of electroluminescence. Herein we demonstrated that by regulating the ground state resonance structure form of emitters with polycyclic aromatic heterocycles, the high-energy vibration of the C–C bond can be effectively suppressed, resulting in narrow emission like classical cyanine dyes. The designed compounds consist of twist and planar conformation, while having differences in the orientation of the positioning electron-donating(nitrogen) and electron-accepting(carbonyl) groups in the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon skeleton. The resulting compound Ac-Ph-Ac with a dominated zwitterionic resonance structure exhibits a relatively wide electroluminescent profile with the full width at half maximum(FWHM) of 42 nm and moderate device performance. In contrast, the “soliton transition” of 2AcPh based on the cyanine limit character effectively suppresses C–C stretching vibration in the polycyclic aromatic heterocycle skeleton, leading to a narrow electroluminescent profile with FWHM of 30 nm(0.16 eV)associated with an impressively high external quantum efficiency of 28.52%, which is among the highest efficiencies of so far reported non-sensitized organic light-emitting diodes.

Understanding the effect of additive on the interfacial charge-carrier transfer dynamics is very crucial to obtaining highly efficient perovskite solar cells(PSCs).Herein,we designed a simple additive,dimethyl oxalate(DO),functioning as an effective defect passivator of perovskite grain boundaries via the coordination interaction between the carbonyl(C=O)and the exposed Pb^(2+).The modification with DO produces pinhole-free and compact perovskite films,enhancing the transportation capability of *** a consequence,the DO-treated PSCs exhibited a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 22.19%,which is significantly higher than that of the control device without additive(19.58%).More importantly,detailed transient absorption characterization reveals that the use of additive can decrease the hot-carrier cooling dynamics,improve the carrier transfer,and eliminate nonradiative recombination in *** present work provides a profound understanding the additives effect on the carrier dynamics in PSCs toward the Shockley-Queisser limit.

Measurement and verification of concentration-dependent diffusion coefficient:Ray tracing imagery of diffusion process

Ray tracing method is used to study the propagation of collimated beams in a liquid-core cylindrical lens(LCL),which has dual functions of diffusion cell and image *** diffusion images on the focal plane of the used LCL are simulated by establishing and solving both linear and nonlinear ray equations,the calculated results indicate that the complex imaging results of LCL in inhomogeneous media can be treated by the law of ray propagation in homogeneous media under the condition of small refractive index gradient of diffusion *** by the calculation conditions,the diffusion process of triethylene glycol aqueous solution is experimentally studied at room temperature by using the LCL in this *** spatial and temporal concentration profile Ce(z,t)of diffusion solution is obtained by analyzing diffusion image appearing on the focal plane of the LCL;Then,the concentration-dependent diffusion coefficient is assumed to be a polynomial D(C)=D0×(1+α1C+α2C2+α3C3+…).The finite difference method is used to solve the Fick diffusion equation for calculating numerically the concentration profiles Cn(z,t).The D(C)of triethylene glycol aqueous solution is obtained by comparing the Cn(z,t)with Ce(z,t).Finally,the obtained polynomial D(C)is used to calculate the refractive index profiles nn(z,t)s of diffusion solution in the used *** on the ray propagation law in inhomogeneous media and the calculated n(z,t),the ray tracing method is used again to simulate the dynamic images of the whole experimental diffusion process to varify the correctness of the calculated D(C).The method presented in this work opens up a new way for both measuring and verifying the concentration-dependent liquid diffusion coefficients.

Modulation of red-light emission from carbon quantum dots in acid-based environment and the detection of chromium(Ⅲ)ions

ⅢIn this study,the carbon quantum dots,which can emit sharp red light(R-CQDs)under optical excitation,were synthesized via simple heat treatment of wine *** features of the photoluminescence(PL)emission from R-CQDs in solutions with different p H values and with metal ions were *** intensity of the PL emission from R-CQDs depends sensitively on the p H values of the solutions with the ***,the p H-response of the PL intensity is reversible and can be enhanced linearly in the p H value range from 4 to 12,indicating that the R-CQDs can be applied for the p H ***,the quench of the PL emission from R-CQDs can be observed when adding chromium(Ⅲ)ions into the solution with *** effect can be utilized for selective and quick detection of chromium(Ⅲ)ions in solutions simply via the standard PL *** interesting and important findings from this work can be applied to explore more practical applications of the CQDs prepared cheaply and easily.

The Image Property in an EIT information Transfer System

We focus on the study of the transferred image property in an electromagnetically induced transparency （EIT）system. In our experiment, a triple-peak image is effectively transferred trom a coupling beam to a signal beam based on the FIT effect. It is found that the transferred image intensity profile of the signal beam is the same as that of the coupling beam while not in phase. Furthermore, the propagation property of the transferred image is studied. Due to the narrowing effect, the transferred image keeps narrowing and maintains the shape well within a certain distance outside of the medium. Our experimental results are in excellent agreement with the theoretical analysis.

We present an experimental study of multi-Raman gain resonances in a hot rubidium *** experiment is performed based on a high-efficiency four-wave mixing process due to the Raman-driven coherence in a double-A *** Raman gain resonance for ^（85）Rb atoms under a bias magnetic field is shown to be split into five or six peaks,depending on the orientation of the magnetic *** formed multi-Raman gain resonances have potential applications in measurement of magnetic fields and generation of multi-frequency correlated twin beams.

Generalized Hardy-type tests for hierarchy of multipartite non-locality

We propose a family of Hardy-type tests for an arbitrary n-partite system, which can detect different degrees of nonlocality ranging from standard to genuine multipartite non-locality. For any non-signaling m-local hidden variable model,the corresponding tests fail, whereas a pass of this type of test indicates that this state is m non-local. We show that any entangled generalized GHZ state exhibits Hardy’s non-locality for each rank of multipartite non-locality. Furthermore, for the detection of m non-localities, a family of Bell-type inequalities based on our test is constructed. Numerical results show that it is more efficient than the inequalities proposed in [Phys. Rev. A 94 022110(2016)].

Theory of the magnon Kerr effect in cavity magnonics

We develop a theory for the magnon Kerr effect in a cavity magnonics system, consisting of magnons in a small yttrium iron garnet(YIG) sphere strongly coupled to cavity photons, and use it to study the bistability in this hybrid system. To have a complete picture of the bistability phenomenon, we analyze two different cases in driving the cavity magnonics system, i.e.,directly pumping the YIG sphere and the cavity, respectively. In both cases, the magnon frequency shifts due to the Kerr effect exhibit a similar bistable behavior but the corresponding critical powers are different. Moreover, we show how the bistability of the system can be demonstrated using the transmission spectrum of the cavity. Our results are valid in a wide parameter regime and generalize the theory of bistability in a cavity magnonics system.

Probing the fractional topological charge of a vortex light beam by using dynamic angular double slits

Vortex beams with fractional topological charge(FTC) have many special characteristics and novel ***, one of the obstacles for their application is the difficulty of precisely determining the FTC of fractional vortex beams. We find that when a vortex beam with an FTC illuminates a dynamic angular double slit(ADS), the far-field interference patterns that include the information of the FTC of the beam at the angular bisector direction of the ADS vary periodically. Based on this property, a simple dynamic ADS device and data fitting method can be used to precisely measure the FTC of a vortex light beam with an error of less than 5%.
