Four rare earth inorganic-organic hybrid compounds based on Keggin-type polyoxometalate {SiW_(12)}with general formula [{RE(DMF)_(4)(H_(2)O)_4RE(DMF)_(6)}_(2){SiW_(12)O_(40)}_(3)](RE = La(1),Pr(2),Sm(3),Eu(4),DMF=N,N-dimethylformamide) were synthesized by the conventional solution *** analyses indicate that four compounds are isostructural and are all built from three [SiW_(12)O_(40)]^(4-) polyoxoanions and DMF ligands linked by RE^(3+).Compounds 1-4 are extremely sensitive to UV light and present excellent photochromic properties,in which the coloring and fading time of samples are both no more than 2 min,and the reversible coloring-fading process can be repeated for at least 10 cycles with little fatigue,suggesting that compounds 1-4 can be a series of fast-responsive and durable photochromic ***,the solid-state photoluminescence spectra of compounds 3(Sm) and 4(Eu)display strong characteristic emissions of rare earth ions based on f-f ***,compound4(Eu) has a longer fluorescence lifetime up to 566.74 μ***,co mpounds 3(Sm) and 4(Eu) exhibit the switchable luminescence behavior induced by photochromism,which allows them to be used as potential molecular switches.

Titanium alloys are excellent structural materials in engineering fields,but their poor tribological properties limit their further *** plating is an effective method to enhance the tribological performance of alloys,but it is difficult to efficiently apply to titanium alloys,due to titanium alloy’s strong chemical *** this work,the electroless Nickel-Boron(Ni-B)coating was successfully deposited on the surface of titanium alloy(Ti-6AL-4V)via a new pre-treatment ***,linearly reciprocating sliding wear tests were performed to evaluate the tribological behaviors of titanium alloy and its electroless Ni-B *** was found that the Ni-B coatings can decrease the wear rate of the titanium alloy from 19.89×10^(−3)mm^(3)to 0.41×10^(−3)mm^(3),which attributes to the much higher hardness of Ni-B *** heat treatment,the hardness of Ni-B coating further increases corresponding to coating crystallization and hard phase ***,heat treatment does not improve the tribological performance of Ni-B coating,due to the fact that higher brittleness and more severe oxidative wear exacerbate the damage of heat-treated ***,the Ni-B coatings heat-treated both in air and nitrogen almost present the same tribological *** finding of this work on electroless coating would further extend the practical applications of titanium alloys in the engineering fields.

Recently,various supramolecular assembly systems have been identified where the pre-existing chiral supramolecular structure can be manipulated through environmental adjustments,such as temperature,solvent,and *** changes result in diverse microscopic morphologies during the assembly process and induce chiroptical variations,particularly in circular dichroism(CD)and circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)*** chiroptical properties serve as direct indicators of the chiral supramolecular structure and hold promise for applications in sensing,molecular recognition,asymmetric synthesis,and material *** review focuses on research published in the last five years,highlighting instances where assembled structures aggregated by small organic molecular modules demonstrate in-situ chiroptical changes through external condition *** categorizes and discusses different modes of regulation,aiming to offer insights and guidelines for exploring dynamic changes in assembly processes and designing in-situ adjustable structures of assembly modules.

With the development of renewable energy technologies,the recovery and utilization of low-grade energy based on hydroelectric effect have drawn much attention owing to its environmental ***,a novel hydroelectric generator utilizing sodium alginategraphene oxide(SA-GO)fibers is proposed,which is ecofriendly and *** fibers with a length of 5 cm and a diameter of 0.15 mm can generate an open circuit voltage(Voc)of approximately 0.25 V and a short circuit current(Isc)of 4µ*** connecting SA-GO fibers in either series or parallel,this combination can power some electronic ***,these fibers enable the recovery of low-grade energy from the atmosphere or around the human *** experimental and theoretical analysis confirm that the directional flow of protons driven by water molecules is the main mechanism for power generation of SA-GO *** study not only presents a simple energy transformation method that is expected to be applied to our daily life,but also provides a novel idea for the design of humidity electricity-generation devices.

For a broader understanding of uranium migration affected by microorganisms in natural anaerobic environment,the bioreduction of uranium(Ⅵ)(U(Ⅵ))was revealed in Bacillus thuringiensis,a dominant bacterium strain with potential of uranium-tolerant isolated from uranium contaminated *** reduction behavior was systematically investigated by the quantitative analysis of U(Ⅳ)in bacteria,and mechanism was inferred from the pathway of electron *** anaerobic conditions,appropriate biomass and sodium lactate as electron donor,reduction behavior of U(Ⅵ)induced by *** was restricted by the activity of lactate dehydrogenase,which was directly affected by the initial pH,temperature and initial U(Ⅵ)concentration of bioreduction *** of U(Ⅵ)was driven by the generation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)from enzymatic reaction of sodium lactate with various *** transmission of the electrons from bacteria to U(Ⅵ)was mainly supported by the intracellular NADH dehydrogenase-ubiquinone system,this process could maintain the biological activity of cells.

Aqueous zinc-ion battery systems are attractive for next-generation energy storage devices,however,the unstable electrode electrolyte interphase,especially cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI),has induced rapid capacity attenuation,insufficient cycle life,and severe safety *** the researching of CEI formation,composition,dynamic structure,and reaction mechanisms would help in understanding the fundamental electrochemistry at CEI such as electron and ion transport processes,further strengthening the specific capacity,rate,and cycle performance of the cathode *** this review,we summarized the latest progress in understanding interfacial reaction mechanisms and ion dynamic behavior,emphasizing the impact of surface-specific adsorption and solvation behaviors on the interface's ultimate structure and chemical ***,the significant challenges that persist in CEI formation mechanisms,such as cathodic dissolution,by-product formation,electrostatic interactions,constrained electrochemical windows,oxygen evolution reaction,overpotentials,phase transitions,and additional factors,were *** challenges are explored to identify triggers contributing to the depletion of active materials and alterations in the composition or state of the ***,with a deep comprehension of interfacial behaviors,the review articulates innovative optimization strategies through a detailed categorization of approaches in electrolyte engineering,cathode engineering,and artificial CEI ***,future challenges and development directions of CEI are *** hope to offer insights for constructing robust CEI films to achieve high performance aqueous zinc-ion batteries.

Electrocatalysis provides an optimal approach for the conversion of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))into high-value chemicals,thereby presenting a promising avenue toward achieve carbon ***,addressing the selectivity and stability challenges of metal catalysts in electrolytic reduction remains a daunting *** this study,the electrospinning method is employed to fabricate porous carbon nanofibers loaded with bismuth nanoparticles with the help of in situ *** porous carbon nanofibers as conductive support would facilitate the dispersion of bismuth active sites while inhibiting their aggregation and promoting the mass transfer,thus enhancing their electrocatalytic activity and ***,nitrogen doping induces electron delocalization in bismuth atoms through metal-support interactions,thus enabling efficient adsorption of intermediates for improving selectivity based on the theoretical ***,Bi@PCNF-500 exhibits the exceptional selectivity and stability across a wide range of potential ***,its faradaic efficiency(FE)of formate reaches 92.7%in H-cell and94.9%in flow cell,respectively,with good electrocatalytic *** in situ characterization and theoretical calculations elucidate the plausible reaction mechanism to obtain basic rules for designing efficient electrocatalyst.

Due to the excellent drainage performance of the ballast,existing studies mainly focus on the dynamic response of ballast under field capacity or *** has rarely been paid to dynamic changes in moisture content and potential *** this article,we firstly conduct a model test to determine the variation of ballast moisture content under artificial *** that,a full-scale model test with cyclic loading is carried out to study the effect of moisture content variation on the macro-microscopic response of the ballast bed,where several wireless particle sensors are installed to obtain ballast motion characteristics at strategic *** results show that the moisture content increases gradually and stabilizes at a flat peak under rainfall,despite the excellent drainage performance of ballast *** halting rainfall,the moisture content drops back to field capacity,which indicates dynamic flowing surface water on ballast particles under *** flowing surface water brings changes to the original dynamic equilibrium of ballast bed:macroscopically,the deformation rate of stabilized ballast bed increases significantly,reaching a local peak under field capacity;microscopically,the x-and z-angular accelerations of the ballast show positive correlation with rainfall *** multiscale responses indicate that field capacity is a critical moisture content.

The traditional automotive catalytic converter using commercial ceramic honeycomb carriers has many problems such as high back pressure,low engine efficiency,and high usage of precious *** study proposes a four-channel catalytic micro-reactor based on alumina hollow fiber membrane,which uses phase inversion method for structural molding and *** to the advantages of its carrier,it can achieve lower ignition temperature under low noble metal *** Pd/CeO_(2) at a loading rate of 2.3%(mass),the result showed that the reaction ignition temperature is even less than 160℃,which is more than 90℃ lower than the data of commercial ceramic substrates under similar catalyst loading and airspeed *** technology in turn significantly reduces the energy consumption of the *** stability tests were conducted under constant conditions for 1000 h,which proved that this catalytic converter has high catalytic efficiency and stability,providing prospects for the design of innovative catalytic converters in the future.
