Recent progress in constructing fluorinated solid–electrolyte interphases for stable lithium metal anodes

Lithium metal batteries(LMBs) are emerging as a promising energy storage solution owing to their high energy density and specific capacity. However, the non-uniform plating of lithium and the potential rupture of the solid–electrolyte interphase(SEI) during extended cycling use may result in dendrite growth, which can penetrate the separator and pose significant short-circuit risks. Forming a stable SEI is essential for the long-term operation of the batteries. Fluorine-rich SEI has garnered significant attention for its ability to effectively passivate electrodes, regulate lithium deposition, and inhibit electrolyte corrosion. Understanding the structural components and preparation methods of existing fluorinated SEI is crucial for optimizing lithium metal anode performance. This paper reviews the research on optimizing LiF passivation interfaces to protect lithium metal anodes. It focuses on four types of compositions in fluorinated SEI that work synergistically to enhance SEI performance. For instance, combining compounds with LiF can further enhance the mechanical strength and ionic conductivity of the SEI. Integrating metals with LiF significantly improves electrochemical performance at the SEI/anode interface, with a necessary focus on reducing electron tunneling risks. Additionally, incorporating polymers with LiF offers balanced improvements in interfacial toughness and ionic conductivity, though maintaining structural stability over long cycles remains a critical area for future research. Although alloys combined with LiF increase surface energy and lithium affinity, challenges such as dendrite growth and volume expansion persist. In summary, this paper emphasizes the crucial role of interfacial structures in LMBs and offers comprehensive guidance for future design and development efforts in battery technology.

Natural frequencies of rotating functionally graded cylindrical shells

Love＇s first approximation theory is used to analyze the natural frequencies of rotating functionally graded cylindrical shells. To verify the validity of the present method, the natural frequencies of the simply supported non-rotating isotropic cylindrical shell and the functionally graded cylindrical shell are compared with available published results. Good agreement is obtained. The effects of the power law index, the wave numbers along the x- and O-directions, and the thickness-to-radius ratio on the natural frequencies of the simply supported rotating functionally graded cylindrical shell are investigated by several numerical examples. It is found that the fundamental frequencies of the backward waves increase with the increasing rotating speed, the fundamental frequencies of the forward waves decrease with the increasing rotating speed, and the forward and backward waves frequencies increase with the increasing thickness-to-radius ratio.

Carrier Envelope Phase Description for an Isolated Attosecond Pulse by Momentum Vortices

As a crucial parameter for a few-cycle laser pulse, the carrier envelope phase(CEP) substantially determines the laser waveform. We propose a method to directly describe the CEP of an isolated attosecond pulse(IAP) by the vortex-shaped momentum pattern, which is generated from the tunneling ionization of a hydrogen atom by a pair of time-delayed, oppositely and circularly polarized IAP-IR pulses. Superior to the angular streaking method that characterizes the CEP in terms of only one streak, our method describes the CEP of an IAP by the features of multiple streaks in the vortex pattern. The proposed method may open the possibility of capturing sub-cycle extreme ultraviolet dynamics.

Translocator protein ligand, YL-IPA08, attenuates lipopolysaccharide-induced depression-like behavior by promoting neural regeneration

Translocator protein has received attention for its involvement in the pathogenesis of depression. This study assessed the effects of the new translocator protein ligand, YL-IPA08, on alleviating inflammation-induced depression-like behavior in mice and investigated its mechanism of action. Mice were intracerebroventricularly injected with 1, 10, 100 or 1000 ng lipopolysaccharide. The tail-suspension test and the forced swimming test confirmed that 100 ng lipopolysaccharide induced depression-like behavior. A mouse model was then established by intraventricular injection of 100 ng lipopolysaccharide. On days 16-24 after model establishment, mice were intragastrically administered 3 mg/kg YL-IPA08 daily. Immunohistochemistry was used to determine BrdU and NeuN expression in the hippocampus. YL-IPA08 effectively reversed the depression-like behavior of lipopolysaccharide-treated mice, restored body mass, increased the number of BrdU-positive cells, and the number and proportion of BrdU and NeuN double-positive cells. These findings indicate that YL-IPA08 can attenuate lipopolysaccharide-induced depression-like behavior in mice by promoting the formation of hippocampal neurons.

Optimized deployment of a radar network based on an improved firefly algorithm

The threats and challenges of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) invasion defense due to rapid UAV development have attracted increased attention recently. One of the important UAV invasion defense methods is radar network detection. To form a tight and reliable radar surveillance network with limited resources, it is essential to investigate optimized radar network deployment. This optimization problem is difficult to solve due to its nonlinear features and strong coupling of multiple constraints. To address these issues, we propose an improved firefly algorithm that employs a neighborhood learning strategy with a feedback mechanism and chaotic local search by elite fireflies to obtain a trade-off between exploration and exploitation abilities. Moreover, a chaotic sequence is used to generate initial firefly positions to improve population diversity. Experiments have been conducted on 12 famous benchmark functions and in a classical radar deployment scenario. Results indicate that our approach achieves much better performance than the classical firefly algorithm(FA) and four recently proposed FA variants.

Electrically Controlled Rotor(ECR),also called as swashplateless rotor,applies blade pitch inputs via trailing-edge flaps system instead of traditional swashplate *** addition to primary control,rotor vibration reduction and noise alleviation are also achievable via applying higher harmonic control inputs with the trailing-edge *** this paper,the feasibility of ECR to reduce vibration and noise actively is verified ***,the test scheme of ECR active vibration and noise control is proposed,and the ECR test platform is modified according to the test ***,an adaptive control algorithm based on Kalman filter is ***,hover and wind tunnel tests is performed to verify the feasibility of ECR active vibration and noise *** results demonstrate that the ECR are effective for reducing rotor vibration and noise *** the hover condition,the ECR can reduce the in-plane hub vibration by 42%and the inplane noise by *** wind tunnel condition,ECR can reduce the hub vibration by 75%and the BVI noise by 3dB.

Stability and performance analysis of a jump linear control system subject to digital upsets

This paper focuses on the methodology analysis for the stability and the corresponding tracking performance of a closed-loop digital jump linear control system with a stochastic switching signal. The method is applied to a flight control system. A distributed recoverable platform is implemented on the flight control system and subject to independent digital upsets. The upset processes are used to stimulate electromagnetic environments. Specifically, the paper presents the scenarios that the upset process is directly injected into the distributed flight control system, which is modeled by independent Markov upset processes and independent and identically distributed （IID） processes. A theoretical performance analysis and simulation modelling are both presented in detail for a more complete independent digital upset injection. The specific examples are proposed to verify the methodology of tracking performance analysis. The general analyses for different configurations are also proposed. Comparisons among different configurations are conducted to demonstrate the availability and the characteristics of the design.

Optimized Fault Detection Algorithm Aided by BDS Baseband Signal for Train Positioning

The satellite navigation integrity monitoring technology is closely related to the reliability of train positioning. It is of great significance to study satellite navigation Receiver autonomous integrity monitoring(RAIM) algorithm suitable for train positioning. Some existing conventional RAIM algorithms do not consider the influence of satellite navigation signal on algorithms *** at the influence of satellite navigation signal on the propagation processes, such as shadow and multipath effects, the fault detection algorithm based on BeiDou navigation satellite system(BDS) baseband signal is *** innovation parameters contained in the satellite navigation baseband signal are combined into the covariance matrix to set up a new test statistics of RAIM. A new fault detection algorithm based on optimized BDS baseband signal is discussed. And combined with weighted least square method, the noise power balance factor is established to realize satellite fault detection. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can improve the monitoring performance of train satellite positioning integrity, and lay the foundation for meeting the railway industry’s security requirements for positioning services.
