Micro-strain regulation strategy to stabilize perovskite lattice based on the categories and impact of strain on perovskite solar cells

Photovoltaic metal halide perovskite solar cells(PSCs) convert light to electricity more efficiently than crystalline silicon cells, and the cost of materials used to make them is lower than that of silicon *** efficiency is not a core issue affecting the application of perovskite solar cells in special *** present, stability is the major technical encounters that hinders its further commercial development. Microstrain in PSCs is currently a significant factor responsible for the device's instability. Strain-induced ion migration is widely believed to accelerate perovskite degradation even when external stimuli are ***, it is imperative to study strain to enhance the stability of PSCs. This paper reviews recent developments to understand strain's origin and effect mechanisms on performance of PSCs, including ion migration,failure behavior, defect formation, and its effect on photoelectric properties, stability, and ***, several well-known strain management strategies are systematically introduced based on the strain effect mechanism and strain engineering on the film, providing more clues for further preparation with increased stability. The manipulation of external physical strain applied from films to entire devices has been extensively studied. Furthermore, recommendations for future research directions and chemical approaches have been provided. It is emphasized that strain engineering plays a crucial role in improving the efficiency and longevity of PSCs. Tensile strain causes rapid degradation, while moderate compressive strain and external strain control could improve properties and stability. Efforts should focus on controlling compressive strain to mitigate residual tensile strain and introducing it in a controlled manner. Future research endeavors may focus on exploring these pathways to improve the efficiency and lifespan of PSCs.

Electrochemical deposition of aluminum on W electrode from AlCl_3-NaCl melts

Electrochemical deposition of aluminum on W electrode from AlCl3-NaCl melts was studied by cyclic voltammetry and chronopotentiometry. The results show that Al ( Ⅲ) is reduced in two consecutive steps, i.e., 4Al2Cl7-+3e-→Al+7AlCl4- and then AlCl4-+3e-→Al+4Cl-. The electrochemical reaction of 4Al2Cl7-+3e-→Al+7AlCl4- is reversible. Certain nucleation overpotential is required during the deposition of aluminum on W electrode. Chronopotentiometry analysis also shows that Al (Ⅲ ) is reduced in two consecutive steps under certain current density, which is in reasonable agreement with cyclic voltammograms. By using constant current deposition, the electrodeposits on Al substrate obtained at between 50 and 100 mA/cm2 are quite dense and well adherent to the Al substrate. The electrochemical deposition of aluminum on Cu substrate in AlCl3-NaCl melts indicates that the intermetallic compounds are formed. The intermetallic compounds are AlCu and Al2Cu.

Electrodeposition of aluminum and aluminum-magnesium alloys at room temperature

Electrodeposition of aluminum from benzene-tetrahydrofuran-Al Cl3-Li Al H4 was studied at room temperature. Galvanostatic electrolysis was used to investigate the effect of various parameters on deposit morphology and crystal size, including current density, temperature, molar ratio of benzene/tetrahydrofuran and stirring speed. The deposit microstructure was adjusted by changing the parameters, and the optimum operating conditions were determined. Dense, bright and adherent aluminum coatings were obtained over a wide range of current densities(10-25 m A/cm2), molar ratio of benzene and tetrahydrofuran(4:1 to 7:8) and stirring speeds(200-500 r/min). Smaller grain sizes and well-adhered deposits were obtained at lower temperatures. Aluminum-magnesium alloys could potentially be used as hydrogen storage materials. A novel method for Al-Mg deposition was proposed by using pure Mg anodes in the organic solvents system benzene-tetrahydrofuran-Al Cl3-Li Al H4. XRD shows that the aluminum-magnesium alloys are mainly Al3Mg2 and Al12Mg17.

The synthesis of carbon supporter/nanoscale high-entropy alloys(HEAs)electromagnetic response composites by carbothermal shock method has been identified as an advanced strategy for the collaborative competition engineering of conductive/dielectric *** migration modes within HEAs as manipulated by the electronegativity,valence electron configurations and molar proportions of constituent elements determine the steady state and efficiency of equivalent ***,enlightened by skin-like effect,a reformative carbothermal shock method using carbonized cellulose paper(CCP)as carbon supporter is used to preserve the oxygencontaining functional groups(O·)of carbonized cellulose fibers(CCF).Nucleation of HEAs and construction of emblematic shell-core CCF/HEAs heterointerfaces are inextricably linked to carbon metabolism induced by O·.Meanwhile,the electron migration mode of switchable electronrich sites promotes the orientation polarization of anisotropic equivalent *** virtue of the reinforcement strategy,CCP/HEAs composite prepared by 35%molar ratio of Mn element(CCP/HEAs-Mn_(2.15))achieves efficient electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption of−51.35 dB at an ultra-thin thickness of 1.03 *** mechanisms of the resulting dielectric properties of HEAs-based EMW absorbing materials are elucidated by combining theoretical calculations with experimental characterizations,which provide theoretical bases and feasible strategies for the simulation and practical application of electromagnetic functional devices(e.g.,ultra-wideband bandpass filter).

Dissolution rate determination of alumina in molten cryolite-based aluminum electrolyte

Determination of dissolution rate of alumina is one of the classical problems in aluminum electrolysis. A novel method which can measure the dissolution rate of alumina was presented. Effect of factors on dissolution rate of alumina was studied intuitively and roundly using transparent quartz electrobath and image analysis techniques. Images about dissolution process of alumina were taken at an interval of fixed time from transparent quartz electrobath of double rooms. Gabor wavelet transforms were used for extracting and describing the texture features of each image. After subsampling several times, the dissolution rate of alumina was computed using these texture features in local neighborhood of samples. Regression equation of the dissolution rate of alumina was obtained using these dissolution rates. Experiments show that the regression equation of the dissolution rate of alumina is y=-0.000 5x^3＋0.024 0x^2-0.287 3x＋ 1.276 7 for Na3AIF6-AIF3-Al2O3-CaF2-LiF- MgF2 system at 920 ℃.

Microwave Absorption of Crystalline Fe/MnO@C Nanocapsules Embedded in Amorphous Carbon

Multicomponent induced localized coupling in Penrose tiling for electromagnetic wave absorption and multiband compatibility

In the electronic information and intelligent era, microwave absorption materials have been focused on the issue of electromagnetic(EM) pollution, but high-performance absorbers with thin thickness are highly desirable. The positive action between structural design and component selection can be regarded as a function to optimize the microwave loss capacity, which contributes to understanding the response mechanisms from the micro and macro. Therefore, we designed the absorber with quasiperiodic structures of Penrose tiling that has finely engineered the location of maximum absorption peak, the spherical carbonyl iron in thin rhombus, and flakey carbonyl iron in fat rhombus, the effective absorption bandwidth(Reflection Loss ≤ –10 d B) was realized from 6.46 GHz to 15.78 GHz in the 2 mm thickness. The unique arrangement of Penrose tiling can respond alternatingly to EM waves at large scales, and multicomponent coupling is distinctly in the neighboring unit cells. In addition, spraying aluminum pigment as the upper layer, the infrared emissivity is less than 0.35 to meet the complex application *** work opens up novel ideas on quasiperiodic structure combined multicomponent and injects infinite vitality to provide prospects for broadband responsive and high-efciency EM absorbers.

A series of new(Al_(18)Co_(13)Cr_(10)Fe_(14)Ni_(45))(100−x)Tix(x=0,0.5,1)eutectic high-entropy alloys(EHEAs)were designed and prepared with the aid of empirical parameter calculations and JMatPro software *** effects of Ti addition on the microstructures,phase structures,and mechanical properties of Al_(18)Co_(13)Cr_(10)Fe_(14)Ni_(45) EHEA were *** results show that(Al_(18)Co_(13)Cr_(10)Fe_(14)Ni_(45))_((100−x))Ti_(x)(x=0,0.5,1)EHEAs are composed of the FCC and B2 *** the increase in Ti content,the strength of the EHEAs *** volume fraction of the FCC phase decreases,and the volume fraction of B2 phase increases;the size of nanoprecipitates within the B2 phase decreases and the number of them increases,which could be responsible for the high strength due to the addition of *** them,(Al_(18)Co_(13)Cr_(10)Fe_(14)Ni_(45))99.5Ti0.5 alloy exhibited excellent properties with yield strength,ultimate tensile strength,and ductility of 690 MPa,1065 MPa,and 9.18%,respectively.

Effect of Nb doping on microstructures and thermoelectric properties of SrTiO_3 ceramics

Nb-doped SrTiO3 thermoelectric ceramics with different niobium concentrations,sintering temperatures and Sr-site vacancies are successfully prepared by high energy ball milling combined with carbon burial *** fully understanding the effect of niobium doping on SrTiO3,thermoelectric transport properties are systematically investigated in a temperature range from 300 K to 1100 *** carrier mobility can be significantly enhanced,and the electrical conductivity is quadrupled,when the sintering temperature rises from 1673 K to 1773 K（beyond the eutectic temperature（1713 K） of SrTiO3–TiO2）.The lattice vibration can be suppressed by the lattice distortion introduced by the doped niobium ***,Sr-site vacancies compensate for the lattice distortion and increase the lattice thermal conductivity more or ***,we achieve a maximum value of figure-of-merit z T of 0.21 at 1100 K for Sr Ti（0.9）Nb（0.1）O3 ceramic sintered at1773 K.

Asymmetric electric field distribution enhanced hierarchical metamaterials for radar-infrared compatible camouflage

Metamaterials are widely used in electromagnetic radiation and camouflage for their flexible wavefront manipulation and polarization over a broad spectrum ranging from microwaves to ***,multispectral compatible camouflage faces significant challenges due to tremendous scale differences of unit cells and desired radiative properties in various spectral *** study assembles a micron-scale infrared emitter,a millimeter-scale microwave absorber,and a metal reflector to propose a hierarchical metamaterial that reduces microwave scattering and reflects low-infrared *** a proof of concept,laser etching micro-manufactures an upper infrared shielding layer with a periodic metal *** the same time,bottom square frustum metastructure composites are fabricated and optimized based on genetic *** the normal incidence transverse electromagnetic wave with a 90°azimuth angle,the hierarchical strategy and infrared unit create an asymmetric electric field distribution of local near-field coupling,which is conducive to generating additional resonance for broadening the absorption *** verify the multispectral camouflage,which shows a high absorption efficiency of more than 90%,ranging from 3.6 to 6.2 and from 8.4 to 18 GHz with a total thickness of 4.05 mm(0.049λmax).Due to the non-reflection of surrounding thermal signals in the infrared 2-22μm region,low-infrared emissivity(0.29)metamaterials can adapt to various thermal *** methodology can provide a novel route for fabricating multispectral camouflage devices.
