A 12-metal Zn（Ⅱ）-Nd（Ⅲ） cluster 1（sizes:1.8 nm×2.0 nm×2.0 nm） was synthesized from a long-chain type Schiff base *** displays ratiometric fluorescence response to neopterin（Neo） with high selectivity and sensitivity,which can be expressed by the equation I545nm/I1060nm=A·[Neo]2+B·[Neo]+C.1 is used to quantitatively test Neo concentrations in fetal calf serum（FCS） and urine,and the recovery ranges are 98.57%-103.82% and 99.25%-103.50%,respectively,while the relative standard deviations（RSDs） are 7.89%-9.46% and 1.85%-4.16%,*** limits of detection of 1 to Neo in FCS and urine are 0.034 and 0.021 μmol/L,respectively.

To obtain high-entropy carbide (HEC) joints with excellent high-temperature performance, a (HfZrTiTaNb)C HEC joint featuring a direct diffusion-bonded interface with a Nb-based interlayer was successfully fabricated at relatively low temperatures of 1150-1250 degrees C for 60 min under 10 MPa. Starting from a modified Ni/Nb/Ni composite interlayer with a Nb content of > 64 at%, an alloyed Nb2Ni layer was constructed in situ by accelerating the directional diffusion of Ni atoms from the high-entropy interface into the remaining pure Nb through the Ni-Nb eutectic liquid. Moreover, the excess liquid phase was squeezed out of the bonding region, ensuring the absence of Ni-based compounds. Leveraging the intrinsic interfacial stability and sluggish diffusion effect, the HEC with its original lattice structure, was capable of developing diffusion bonding with the Nb2Ni layer instead of interacting with the liquid phase. The high reliability of the HEC/Nb2Ni bonded interface was confirmed by the coherence of (1 3) (HEC)// (141) (Nb2Ni) and a calculated lattice misfit of 0.044. The HEC joint had a high room-temperature strength of 174 MPa because of the homogenous Nb2Ni layer, which exhibited nanohardness (15.2 +/- 1.5 GPa) and an elastic modulus of 219.9 +/- 17.5 GPa. Furthermore, the strength of the HEC joint did not decrease at 1000 degrees C, increasing by similar to 49% over that of HEC/Ni/HEC diffusion-bonded joints, which have stringent surface flatness requirements. This suggested that the HEC/Nb2Ni interface had excellent resistance to high-temperature softening, even though it was invariably the initial failure location. This work is informative for designing bonding structures and preparing HEC components.

In chemical science, the vertical ionization potential(VIP) is a crucial metric for understanding the electronegativity, hardness and softness of chemical material systems as well as the electronic structure and stability of molecules. Ever since the last century, the model chemistry composite methods have witnessed tremendous developments in computing the thermodynamic properties as well as the barrier heights. However, their performance in realm of the vertical electron processes of molecular systems has been rarely explored. In this study, we for the first time benchmarked the model chemistry composite methods(e.g., CBS-QB3, G4 and W1BD) in comparison with the commonly used Koopmans' s theorem(KT), electron propagator theory(e.g., OVGF, D2, P3 and P3+) and CCSD(T) methods in calculating the VIP for up to 613 molecular systems with available experimental measurements. The large-scale test calculations strongly showed that the CBS-QB3 model chemistry composite technique can be well recommended to calculate VIP from the perspectives of accuracy, economy and applicability. Notably, the VIP values of up to 7 molecules were identified to have the absolute errors of larger than 0.3 e V at all calculation levels,which have strong hints that their VIP experimental values should be re-investigated.

In this paper, an event-triggered time-varying formation tracking control for a class of second-order nonlinear multiagent systems(MAS) operating within a constrained region is investigated. To mitigate the negative effects of external unknown disturbance, a novel disturbance observer with performance guarantees is proposed, enabling precise disturbance *** the artificial potential field(APF) method, a repulsive potential function is introduced to prevent inter-agent collisions as well as collisions with environmental obstacles. To reduce continuous communication and frequent system updates, a sliding mode technique is incorporated into the formation tracking controller, utilizing an event-triggered mechanism. The controller is also applicable to the formation control of MAS in switching-constrained regions. The achievement of the specified timevarying geometric formation is rigorously demonstrated through the Lyapunov framework. Numerical simulations are presented to validate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Forest structure is fundamental in determining ecosystem function, yet the impact of bamboo invasion on these structural characteristics remains unclear. We investigated 219 invasion transects at 41 sites across the distribution areas of Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis) in China to explore the effects of bamboo invasion on forest structural attributes and diameter-height allometries by comparing paired plots of bamboo, mixed bamboo-tree, and non-bamboo forests along the transects. We found that bamboo invasion decreased the mean and maximum diameter at breast height, maximum height, and total basal area, but increased the mean height, stem density, and scaling exponent for stands. Bamboo also had a higher scaling exponent than tree, particularly in mixed forests, suggesting a greater allocation of biomass to height growth. As invasion intensity increased, bamboo allometry became more plastic and decreased significantly, whereas tree allometry was indirectly promoted by increasing stem density. Additionally, a humid climate may favour the scaling exponents for both bamboo and tree, with only minor contributions from topsoil moisture and nitrogen content. The inherent superiority of diameter-height allometry allows bamboo to outcompete tree and contributes to its invasive success. Our findings provide a theoretical basis for understanding the causes and consequences of bamboo invasion.

High concentrations of inorganic ions in saline wastewater pose adverse effects on hydroxyl radical (HO' )dominated technologies. Here, we report a unique strategy for boosting singlet oxygen (1 O2 ) generation via coactivation of oxygen and peroxymonosulfate (PMS) by regulating the electron transfer regime in the photoelectrochemical process. The Fe-N bridge in atomic Fe-modified graphitic carbon nitride (denoted SA-FeCN) favors the construction of electron-defective Fe and electron-rich N vacancies (Nvs) to accelerate directional electron transfer. The produced intermediate (HSO4-O center dot center dot center dot Fe- Nvs center dot center dot center dot O-O) as a chemical channel accelerates the directional electron transfer from PMS to further reduce O2 to form activated products (SO5'-, O2'-), thereby transforming O2 into 1 O2 . An optimized 1 O2 generation rate of 39.4 mu mol L-1s- 1 is obtained, which is 15.7-945.0 times higher than that in traditional advanced oxidation processes. Fast kinetics are achieved for removing various phenolic pollutants in a nonradical oxidation pathway, which is less susceptible to the coexistence of natural organic matter and inorganic ions. The COD removal for coal wastewater and complex industrial wastewater in real scenarios is found to reach a value of 90%-96% in 3 h. This work provides a new direction for boosting the 1 O2 generation rate, especially for the selective degradation of target electron-rich contaminants in saline wastewater.
