Superior Anodic Lithium Storage in Core-Shell Heterostructures Composed of Carbon Nanotubes and Schiff-Base Covalent Organic Frameworks

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) after undergoing the superlithiation proc.ss promise high-capacity anodes while suffering from sluggish reaction kinetics and low electrochemical utilization of redox-active sites. Herein, integrating carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with imine-linked covalent organic frameworks (COFs) was rationally executed by in-situ Schiff-base condensation between 1,1 '-biphenyl]-3,3 ',5,5 '-tetracarbaldehyde and 1,4-diaminobenzene in the presence of CNTs to produce core-shell heterostructured composites (CNT@COF). Accordingly, the redox-active shell of COF nanoparticles around one-dimensional conductive CNTs synergistically creates robust three-dimensional hybrid architectures with high specific surface area, thus promoting electron transport and affording abundant active functional groups accessible for electrochemical utilization throughout the whole electrode. Remarkably, upon the full activation with a superlithiation proc.ss, the as-fabricated CNT@COF anode achieves a specific capacity of 2324 mAh g-1, which is the highest specific capacity among organic electrode materials reported so far. Meanwhile, the superior rate capability and excellent cycling stability are also obtained. The redox reaction mechanisms for the COF moiety were further revealed by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy in conjunction with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, involving the reversible redox reactions between lithium ions and C=N groups and gradual electrochemical activation of the unsaturated C=C bonds within COFs. Coupling conductive carbon nanotubes with redox-active imine-linked covalent organic frameworks generates core-shell heterostructures capable of building 3D hierarchical architectures with fully exposed active sites for boosting anodic lithium storage. image

This study proposes a method for uniformly revolving swarm robots to entrap multiple targets,which is based on a gene regulatory network,an adaptive decision mechanism,and an improved *** the gene regulatory network method,the robots can generate entrapping patterns according to the environmental input,including the positions of the targets and ***,an adaptive decision mechanism is proposed,allowing each robot to choose the most well-adapted capture point on the pattern,based on its *** robots employ an improved Vicsek-model to maneuver to the planned capture point smoothly,without colliding with other robots or *** proposed decision mechanism,combined with the improved Vicsek-model,can form a uniform entrapment shape and create a revolving effect around targets while entrapping *** study also enables swarm robots,with an adaptive pattern formation,to entrap multiple targets in complex *** robots can be deployed in the military field of unmanned aerial vehicles’(UAVs)entrapping multiple *** experiments demonstrate the feasibility and superiority of the proposed gene regulatory network method.

The structure-property relationship at interfaces is difficult to probe for thermoelectric materials with a complex interfacial microstructure. Designing thermoelectric materials with a simple, structurally-uniform interface provides a facile way to understand how these interfaces influence the transport properties. Here, we synthesized Bi2-xSbxTe3 (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4) nanoflakes using a hydrothermal method, and prepared Bi2-xSbxTe3 thin films with predominantly (0001) interfaces by stacking the nanoflakes through spin coating. The influence of the annealing temperature and Sb content on the (0001) interface structure was systematically investigated at atomic scale using aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy. Annealing and Sb doping facilitate atom diffusion and migration between adjacent nanoflakes along the (0001) interface. As such it enhances interfacial connectivity and improves the electrical transport properties. Interfac reactions create new interfaces that increase the scattering and the Seebeck coefficient. Due to the simultaneous optimization of electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient, the maximum power factor of the Bi1.8Sb0.2Te3 nanoflake films reaches 1.72 mW m(-1) K-2, which is 43% higher than that of a pure Bi2Te3 thin film.

In this Letter, an autofocusing method in optical scanning holography (OSH) system is proposed. By introducing Lissajous scanning into multiple signal classification (MUSIC) method in time-reversal (TR) OSH, the axial locations of the targets can be retrieved with better resolution and the peak prominence increases from 0.21 to 0.34. The feasibility of this method is confirmed by simulation as well as experiment.

Perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) have demonstrated great promise in bioimaging applications owing to their outstanding photophysical properties. Nonetheless, their practicality is seriously limited by the instability of PQDs against moisture. Here we develop a post-synthetic ligand exchange strategy to construct silica-coated PQD (PQD@SiO2) nanocrystals, which results in the simultaneous improvement of photoluminescence efficiency and moisture stability. More importantly, compared to the classical in-situ ligand exchange method of fabricating PQD@SiO2, the issues of chemical etching and resultant photoluminescence degradation are judiciously overcome. Employing the proposed PQD@SiO2, we showcase their robust usefulness in lab.ling chlorella, paving the way for PQD-based in-vivo photoluminescence bioimaging methodology.

Herein, we present a photoinduced, CeCl3-catalyzed three-component decarboxylative reaction that couples carboxylic acids, alkenes and tert-butyl hydroperoxide for the formation of various organic peroxides. The ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT) excitation mode allows the decarboxylative alkylation-peroxidation reaction to occur under mild conditions, and is well applicable to primary, secondary and tertiary carboxylic acids and styrene derivatives.

A commentary on pressure-induced pre-lithiation towards Si anodes in all-solid-state Li-ion batteries (ASSLIBs) using sulfide electrolytes (SEs) is presented. First, feasible pre-lithiation technologies for Si anodes in SE-based ASSLIBs especially the significant pressure-induced pre-lithiation strategies are briefly reviewed. Then, a recent achievement by Meng et al. in this field is elab.rated in detail. Finally, the significance of Meng's work is discussed.

Nb-based tungsten bronze oxides have emerged as attractive materials in various fields, owing to the structural openings and simple synthesis method. In this work, the tetragonal tungsten bronze (TTB) NaWNbO6 was prepared by solid state reaction at a relatively low temperature of 775 degrees C. The local structure was systematically studied by solid state nuclear magnetic resonance (SSNMR) with the aid of transition electronic microscopy (TEM). The analysis indicates that NaWNbO6 has pentagonal, square, and triangular tunnels. Notably, square tunnels were partly occupied (50%) by Na, which creates the ability for the Li-ion storage with a volumetric capacity of 210 AhL-1 at 0.2 C. The 2D Na-23-Na-23 EXSY results further suggest the ability of ions to fast exchange between the tetragonal and pentagonal tunnels, resulting in a high-rate performance 20 C.
