High performance 1.3 μm InGaAsN superluminescent diodes (SLDs) were fabricated with Schottky contact. The structure was grown by metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). Output power of 3 mW was obtained in continuous wave (CW) mode at room temperature. The full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the emission spectrum was 30 nm. The devices operated up to 100°C.

Performance analysis and kinematic design of the 3-PUU pure translational parallel mechanism with vertical guide-ways are investigated. Two novel performance indices, the critical slider stroke and the main section area of workspace, are defined; The expressions of two other indices, i.e. the global dexterity and global force transfer ratio are revised based on the main section of workspace. Using these indices, performance changes versus the varieties of dimensional parameters of mechanism are investigated in detail and the graphic descriptions of change tendencies of the performance indices are illustrated. By means of these obtained graphic descriptions, kinematic parameters for the 3-PUU pure translational parallel mechanism with better characteristics can be directly acquired.

Radial drilling technology, of which the jet bit is the key device, is a research focus in the field of oil drilling and production. This paper establishes mechanical equations for jet bits and analyzes the hydroseal of backward jets in bottom holes. Meanwhile this paper establishes a mechanical equation for a high pressure hose and analyzes the axial force distribution. laboratory experiments indicate that the flow rate, the angle between the backward nozzle axis and the jet bit axis, and the hole diameter are the major influencing factors; the generation of the pulling force is mainly due to the inlet pressure of the jet bit; the backward jets can significantly increase not only the pulling force but also the stability of jet bits. The pulling force would reach 8,376 N under experimental conditions, which can steadily pull the high-pressure hose forward.

This letter reports a novel method for preparing chromogenic calix[4]arenes, in which the 4-aminopyridine was diazotized with isoamyl nitrite in EtONa/EtOH, and mono(azo)-, bis(azo)- and tetra(azo)-substituted calix[4]arenes were obtained as main product respectively by diazo-coupling in different molar ratio to calix[4]arene in non-aqueous solution at 0-5 degrees.

To attain high efficiencies in hybrid white organic light-emitting diodes(WOLEDs),mutual quenching of the fluorophors and phosphors should be *** have been devoted to reducing the triplet quenching of phosphors;however,the quenching of fluorophors by the external heavy-atom effect(EHA)introduced by the phosphors is often ***,we observed that conventional fluorophors and fluorophors with thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)behave differently in the presence of EHA *** efficiencies of the conventional fluorophors suffer greatly from the EHA,whereas the TADF fluorophors exhibit negligible changes,which makes TADF materials ideal fluorophors for hybrid *** using a blue TADF fluorophor and an orange phosphor achieve a maximum forward viewing external quantum efficiency of 19.6%and a maximum forward viewing power efficiency of 50.2 lm W^(-1),among the best values for hybrid *** report is the first time that the EHA effect has been considered in hybrid WOLEDs and that a general strategy toward highly efficient hybrid WOLEDs with simple structures is proposed.

The combination of brain targeting drug delivery systems and multi-modal intervention pose a promising therapeutic approach for glioblastoma *** this study,we developed an angiopep-2 peptide modified cationic liposome loaded with doxorubicin,YAP-siRNA and gold nanorods(D/R@Ang2-Lip+Au)simultaneously,which has high encapsulating efficiency for doxorubicin(95.4%)and effective binding of siRNA at N/P ratio of 20:*** fluorescence imaging and flow cytometry analysis revealed high cellular uptake of D/R@Ang2-Lip+***-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blot analysis indicated that D/R@Ang2-Lip+Au could effectively inhibit the expression of YAP *** vitro and in vivo studies showed that D/R@Ang2-Lip+Au had the ability to target glioblastoma cells,and achieved better anti-proliferative effects compared with non-targeted D/R@Lip+***,in vivo experiment demonstrated that D/R@Ang2-Lip+Au was able to cross the blood-brain barrier,and combination therapy could significantly inhibit tumor ***,the multifunctional D/R@Ang2-Lip+Au might provide a novel approach for effectively delivery of DOX,YAP-siRNA and AuNRs into the glioblastoma cells simultaneously and exerting synergistic therapeutic effects.

Twenty representative samples were collected from the Chinese loess plateau and each sample was prepared in 6 different ways respectively in order to test the influences of pretreated methods on grain size measurement. The results show that (ⅰ) different pretreated methods can make a big difference for the samples granulometry; (ⅱ) soaking in distilled water for one day, and then treating with an ultrasonic machine for 10 min can make the sample dispersed.
