Geological characteristics,metallogenic background,and genesis of the Tongyu VHMS copper deposit in the west part of the North Qinling,Shaanxi Province

The Tongyu volcanic-hosted massive sulfide(VHMS) copper deposit is located in the west part of the North Qinling(NQL),Shaanxi *** we report geological features and trace elemental characteristics of ores,mineralized rocks,and volcanic host rocks of this *** also conducted in situ zircon U-Pb and Lu-Hf LA-ICP-MS dating and lithogeochemical study of the Meigou granodiorite,which is intruded in the south of the Tongyu mining *** is inferred that the volcanic host rocks of the Tongyu Cu deposit belong to calc-alkaline island arc volcanic rocks,and the volcanic host rocks and the ore-forming materials share common material *** subduction of the Paleo-Qinling oceanic slab at around 472 Ma,high oxygen-fugacity aqueous fluid released by dehydration reaction of the subducting slab rose into the mantle wedge,leached Cu and other metal elements,and triggered partial melting of the mantle *** with the ore-forming materials,the arc calc-alkaline magmas erupted and formed the Tongyu VHMS *** weighted average zircon U-Pb age of the Meigou granodiorite is 439.3±3 Ma,suggesting its genesis is associated with the subduction event of the Paleo-Qinling oceanic plate around 440 *** terms of the granitoid’s geochemical characteristics,the Mg#,Ni,and Cr contents are *** show strongly fractionated patterns with unobvious Eu *** contents are high while Y contents are low,resulting in high Sr/Y ***-stage zircon Hf model ages mostly range between 908 and 723 Ma,with εHf(t)>***,we classify Meigou granodiorite as island arc granite with adakitic geochemical *** was generated by interaction between mantle wedge and melt produced by partial melting of the subducted basaltic slab of the Paleo-Qinling *** Tongyu VHMS deposit was formed in the island arc tectonic setting during Ordovician-Silurian between 439.3±3 Ma and 472±11 *** volcanic exhalation-sedimentation,which was contemporaneous wit

Series solution of non-similarity natural convection boundary-layer flows over permeable vertical surface

The non-similarity solution for natural convection from a permeable isothermal vertical wall is considered. The governing boundary-layer equations for non-similarity flow and temperature fields are solved using the homotopy analysis method. The homotopy-Pade’ technique is applied to accelerate the convergence of the homotopy-series solution. The influence of physical parameters on the non-similarity flows is investigated in detail. Different from the previous analytic results,the homotopy-series solutions are convergent and valid for all physical parameters in the whole domain 0 x < ∞ and 0 y < ∞.

This paper is devoted to the study of approximation of the solution for the differential equation whose coefficients are almost period functions. To this end the authors establish the estimation of the solution of general linear differential equation for infinite interval case. For finite interval case, this equation was investigated by G. Tamarkin([1]) applying the Picard method of successive approximation.

Tropical cyclone(TC) center location or eye fix is the first and inevitable procedure in TC forecasting,but mostly done manually in *** we present a novel and objective method to locate TC center by compensating conventional pattern matching and vector field analysis methods *** experimental results show satisfactory results in comparison with the best track data from the China Meteorological Administration especially when the spiral patterns of TC are well *** method being introduced,TC forecasters can fix TC eye objectively and easily from data of all kinds of meteorological satellites.

Numerical Tidal Current Modeling Using Fine Boundary-Fitted Grids for Tidal Flats

Fine grids with small spacing in boundary-fitted coordinates are normally used to treat the computation of fluid dynamics for estuarine areas and tidal flats. However, the adoption of Cartesian components of velocity vectors in this kind of non-orthogonal coordinates will definitely result in a difficulty in solving implicitly the transformed momentum equations, and also complicate the wet-dry point judgement used for flood areas. To solve this problem, equations in terms of generalized contravariant velocity vectors in curvilinear coordinates are derived in the present study, by virtue of which, an Alternative-Direction-Implicit numerical scheme in non-orthogonal grids would then be easily obtained, and wet-dry point judgement would as well be largely simplified. A comparison is made between the explicit scheme and implicit scheme, showing that the present model is accurate and numerically stable for computations of fluid dynamics for estuarine areas and tidal flats.

DeepRetention:A Deep Learning Approach for Intron Retention Detection

As the least understood mode of alternative splicing,Intron Retention(IR)is emerging as an interesting area and has attracted more and more attention in the field of gene regulation and disease *** methods detect IR exclusively based on one or a few predefined metrics describing local or summarized characteristics of retained *** metrics are not able to describe the pattern of sequencing depth of intronic reads,which is an intuitive and informative characteristic of retained *** hypothesize that incorporating the distribution pattern of intronic reads will improve the accuracy of IR *** we present DeepRetention,a novel approach for IR detection by modeling the pattern of sequencing depth of *** to the lack of a gold standard dataset of IR,we first compare DeepRetention with two state-of-the-art methods,*** and IRFinder,on simulated RNA-seq datasets with retained *** results show that DeepRetention outperforms these two ***,DeepRetention performs well when it is applied to third-generation long-read RNA-seq data,while IRFinder and iREAD are not applicable to detecting IR from the third-generation sequencing ***,we show that IRs predicted by DeepRetention are biologically meaningful on an RNA-seq dataset from Alzheimer’s Disease(AD)*** differential IRs are found to be significantly associated with AD based on statistical evaluation of an AD-specific functional gene *** parent genes of differential IRs are enriched in AD-related *** summary,DeepRetention detects IR from a new angle of view,providing a valuable tool for IR analysis.

In this paper,we give a simpler proof for Ohta’s theorems[1995,*** Poincare,63,111;1995,*** Eq.,8,1775]on the strong instability of the ground states for a generalized Davey-Stewartson *** addition,a sufficient condition is given to ensure the nonexistence of a minimizer for a variational problem,which is related to the stability of the standing waves of the Davey-Stewartson *** result shows that the stability result of Ohta[*** Eq.,8,1775]is sharp.

Two dimensional(2D)nanocrystal functional superlattices with a well controlled structure are of significant importance in photonic,plasmonic and optoelectronic applications and have been well studied,but it remains challenging to understand the formation mechanism and development pathway of the *** this study,we employed in-situ liquid cell transmission electron microscopy to study the formation of 2D superlattice and its local phase transition from hexagonal-to-square nanocrystal *** colloidal nanocrystals flowed in the solution,long-range ordered hexagonal superlattice could be formed either through shrinking and rearrangement of nanocrystal aggregates or via nanocrystal *** the nanocrystals’shape transformed from truncated octahedral to cube,the local superlattice rearranged to square ***,our observations and quantitative analyses reveal that the phase transition from hexagonal to square mainly originates from the strong van der Waals interactions between the vertical(100)*** tracking of 2D cube superlattice formation in real-time could provide unique insights on the governing force of superlattice assembling and stabilization.

For the large sparse systems of linear and nonlinear equations, a new class of generalized asynchronous parallel multisplitting iterative method is presented, and its convergence theory is established under suitable conditions. This method not only unifies the discussions of various existing asynchronous multisplitting iterations, but also affords new algorithmic and theoretical results for the parallel solution of large sparse system of linear equations. Besides its generality, this method is also much more suitable for implementing on the MIMD multiprocessor systems.
