Surface micro-arrays enhancing electromagnetic interference shielding of polydimethylsiloxane/multiwalled carbon nanotubes nanocomposites

Herein,the electromagnetic shielding performance of surface concave-convex(SC)and zig-zag micro-arrays was studied by using a simulation prediction and a three-dimensional(3D)printing custom ***,surface stripe concaveconvex(SSC)and surface cylindrical concave-convex(SCC)micro-arrays with or without zig-zag micro-arrays are designed,and their shielding performance is simulated in multi-bands(C-,X-band).The multiwalled carbon nanotubes/polydimethylsiloxane composites(MWCNT/PDMS)with different SC structures and different electrical conductivity are molded in acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer(ABS)molds which are printed by a 3D *** results show that the electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness(EMI SE)of the samples can be enhanced by constructing the SC micro-arrays with zig-zag micro-arrays,and improving with the increase of conductivity and *** addition,the shielding mechanism of the SC-MWCNT/PDMS composites is investigated and discussed by an electromagnetic simulation.

The electrochemiluminescence(ECL) behavior of N-(4-aminobutyl)-N-ethylisoluminol(ABEI)-functionalized graphene composite(ABEI-GC) modified on an indium tin oxide(ITO) electrode was studied. ABEI-GC exhibited excellent ECL activity. On this basis, a label-free ECL immunosensor was developed for the sensitive detection of human immunoglobulin G(h Ig G) by using ABEI-GC as the ECL nano-interface via a layer-by-layer assembly technique. ABEI-GC was first assembled onto an ITO electrode. Positively charged chitosan was then electrostatically adsorbed to the modified electrode. Finally, negatively charged antibody-coated gold nanoparticles were attached to the surface to form the ECL immunosensor. In the presence of h Ig G, h Ig G was captured by its antibody. In addition, an ECL signal was detected in the presence of H2O2 when a double potential was applied. The ECL immunosensor for the determination of h Ig G showed a linear range of 1.0×10-13–1.0×10-8 g/mL with a detection limit of 5.0×10-14 g/m L. This immunosensor has high sensitivity, wide linearity and good reproducibility. The superior sensitivity of the proposed ECL immunoassay mainly derives from the incorporation of ABEI-GC, which not only improves the ECL intensity, response speed, and stability, but also provides a large specific surface for high levels of protein loading. This work reveals that ABEI-GC is good nano-interface for the construction of ECL biosensors. Our strategy is promising for protein detection and may open up a new avenue for ultrasensitive label-free immunoassays.

Lithium-sulfur （Li-S） batteries are widely deemed to be one of the most potential candidates for future secondary batteries because of their remarkable energy ***,notorious polysulfide shuttling and retarded sulfur reaction kinetics pose significant obstacles to the further application of Li-S *** rationally designed highly active electrocatalysts can facilitate polysulfide conversion,the universal and scalable synthesis strategies need to be ***,a universal synthetic strategy to construct a series of three-dimensional （3D） porous graphene-iron （3DGr-Fe） based electrocatalysts involving 3DGr-FeP,3DGr-Fe3C,and 3DGr-Fe3Se4is exploited for manipulating the Li-S redox *** has been observed that the implementation of a 3D porous Gr architecture leads to the well-designed conductive networks,while the uniformly dispersed iron nanoparticles introduce an abundance of active sites,fostering the lithium polysulfide conversion,thereby bolstering the overall electrochemical *** Li-S battery with the 3DGr-Fe based electrocatalyst exhibits remarkable capacity retention of 94.8%upon 100 times at 0.2 ***,the soft-packaged Li-S pouch cell based on such a 3DGr-Fe electrocatalyst delivers superior capacity of 1060.71 mA h g-1and guarantees for the continuous 30 min work of fan *** investigation gives comprehensive insights into the design,synthesis,and mechanism of 3DGr-Fe based electrocatalysts with high activity toward efficient and durable Li-S batteries.

The high-value utilization of industrial solid waste using a facile and eco-friendly process is of great interest and significance in reducing environmental pollution and developing a green circular economy. Herein, we propose an amyloid-mediated molecular engineering strategy to transform particulate waste into valuable adsorbents for metal ions. Our method has the advantage of aqueous solution fabrication under mild conditions without the use of high-temperature hydrothermal methods and toxic chemical reagents. Amyloid-mediated molecular engineering manipulates the phase transition of bovine serum albumin(BSA)on particulate waste surfaces, resulting in a remarkable ～3.1 times improvement in the adsorption capacity of fly ash, a typical industrial solid waste for gold ions after modification with the phase-transitioned BSA(PTB). The resultant adsorption ability was 69–1,980 times higher than those of conventional and emerging adsorbent materials such as ion exchange resins, activated carbon(AC), covalent organic frameworks(COFs), and metal-organic frameworks(MOFs). We further demonstrated the application of our PTB-modified materials in the recovery of precious metals from low-grade gold ore and electronic waste leachates. Consequently, this strategy could increase the value of waste materials nearly 27 times. In addition, this method is generally extendable to other conventional industrial adsorbents such as resin, clay, and Al2O3, and enhances their adsorption capabilities at least twofold. Overall, this work provides a simple and green approach for improving the adsorption performance of solid particles, and is expected to develop into a universal strategy for transforming waste particles into high-value-added products.

We report on the fabrication of self-assembled micelles from ABC-type miktoarm star polypeptide hybrid copolymers consisting of poly（ethylene oxide）, poly（L-lysine）, and poly（e-caprolactone） arms, PEO（-b-PLL）-b-PCL, and their functional applications as co-delivery nanocarriers of chemotherapeutic drugs and plasmid DNA. Miktoarm star copolymer precursors, PEO（-b-PZLL）-b-PCL, were synthesized at first via the combination of consecutive ＂click＂ reactions and ring-opening polymerizations （ROP）, where PZLL is poly（e-benzyloxycarbonyl-L-lysine）. Subsequently, the deprotection of PZLL arm afforded amphiphilic miktoarm star copolymers, PEO（-b-PLL）-b-PCL. In aqueous media at pH 7.4, PEO（-b-PLL）-b-PCL self-assembles into micelles consisting of PCL cores and hydrophilic PEO/PLL hybrid coronas. The hydrophobic micellar cores can effectively encapsulate model hydrophobic anticancer drug, paclitaxel; whereas positively charged PLL arms within mixed micellar corona are capable of forming electrostatic polyplexes with negatively charged plasmid DNA （pDNA） at N/P ratios higher than ca. 2. Thus, PEO（-b-PLL）-b-PCL micelles can act as co-delivery nanovehicles for both chemotherapeutic drugs and genes. Furthermore, polyplexes of pDNA with paclitaxel-loaded PEO（-b- PLL）-b-PCL micelles exhibited improved transfection efficiency compared to that of pDNA/blank micelles. We expect that the reported strategy of varying chain topologies for the fabrication of co-delivery polymeric nanocarriers can be further applied to integrate with other advantageous functions such as targeting, imaging, and diagnostics.

A series of hyperbranched polyurethane-benzyltetrazoles （H-PBTZs） with different linkage structures were synthesized via the polycondensation of hexamethylenediisocyanate as an A2 type monomer with （4-（1H-tetrazol-5- yl）benzyl）-diethanolamine （TBDEA） as a BB＇2 type monomer in the absence of catalyst at different temperatures. The FTIR, and 13C and 1H-NMR spectroscopy were used to characterize the molecular structures of TBDEA and H-PBTZs as well as the counterpart linear polyurethane-benzyltetrazole （L-PBTZ）. The molecular composition was determined by the reaction selectivity that the isocyanate group reacted with the hydroxyl group in diethanolamine segment or the active hydrogen atom on tetrazole ring. Raising reaction temperature was propitious to the reaction of isocyanate group with the active hydrogen atom on tetrazole ring. The degrees of branching （DB） for H-PBTZs obtained from the 1H-NMR spectra increased with raising reaction temperature. The wider molecular weight distribution of 1.7-2.9 for H-PBTZs was obtained via GPC analysis. TGA results showed that H-PBTZs had high thermal stability compared with L-PBTZ.

Metal catalyzed olefin hydrosilylation and metal mediated olefin polymerization are both of great academic and industrial importance, In this article, these two aspects are combined to prepare silicon- functionalized polyolefin materials, First, pyridine-diimine cobalt-catalyzed dehydrogenative silylations of various terminal olefins with alkylsilanes lead to the formation of a variety of allylsilanes at high yields, Then, the allylsilanes are copolymerized with ethylene using an α-diimine nickel catalyst, leading to the formation of branched polyolefins with high molecular weight and moderate comonomer incorporation. This subsequent catalytic process is an efficient strategy for the synthesis of silicon-functionalized polyolefins using widely available and inexpensive starting materials.

Silicon-based nanomaterials,known for their unique properties and favorable biocompatibility,significantly impact sectors like energy,electronics,and ***,metalorganic frameworks(MOFs)have emerged as promising candidates for biomedicine,characterized by adjustable chemical composition,high porosity,and ***,the combination of silicon with MOFs to create silicon-based MOF nanostructures(SiMOFs)remains ***,we establish a diverse library of SiMOFs with various nanostructures,including flower-like,capsule-like,hexagonal snowflake-like,and necklace-like morphologies via microwave-assisted *** SiMOFs,with their spacious interiors,are ideal for drug *** are used to load drugs and create drug-loaded SiMOFs(e.g.,SiFeO).SiFeO exhibits excellent photothermal effects and high reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation capacity,enabling synergistic treatments involving chemochemodynamic-photothermal *** approach efficiently triggers immunogenic cell death(ICD)and demonstrates excellent antitumor efficacy in *** staining reveals that the synergistic therapy can modulate the tumor microenvironment(TME)by reducing M2-phenotype macrophages,increasing the activation of antigen-presenting cells(APCs),enhancing the infiltration of CD4^(+)and CD8^(+)T cells,elevating Granzyme B production,and decreasing the presence of immunosuppressive regulatory T cells(Tregs).Consequently,drug-loaded SiMOFs-mediated combination therapy effectively reverses the immunosuppressive TME and activates robust antitumor immune responses by inducing ICD in tumor cells,ultimately achieving superior anticancer efficacy.

Synergistic effects of layered double hydroxide （LDH） with intumescent flame retardanct （IFR） of phosphorusnitrogen （NP） compound in the polypropylene/ethylene-propylene-diene/IFR/LDH （PP/EPDM/IFR/LDH） nanocomposites and related properties were studied by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, transmission electron microscopy （TEM）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, limiting oxygen index （LOI）, UL-94 test, cone calorimeter test （CCT） and thermo-gravimetric analysis （TGA）. The XRD and TEM results show that the intercalated and/or exfoliated nanocomposites can be obtained by direct melt-intercalation of PP/EPDM into modified LDH and that LDH can promote the IFR additive NP to disperse more homogeneously in the polymer matrix. The SEM results provide positive evidence that more compact charred layers can be obtained from the PP/EPDM/NP/LDH sample than those from the PP/EPDM/LDH and PP/EPDM/NP samples during burning. The LOI and UL-94 rating tests show that the synergetic effects of LDH with NP can effectively increase the flame retardant properties of the PP/EPDM/NP/LDH samples. The data from the CCT and TGA tests indicate that the PP/EPDM/NP/LDH samples apparently decrease the HRR and MLR values and thus enhance the flame retardant properties and have better thermal stability than the PP/EPDM/LDH and PP/EPDM/NP samples.
