In the intelligent medical diagnosis area,Artificial Intelligence(AI)’s trustworthiness,reliability,and interpretability are critical,especially in cancer *** neural networks,while excellent at processing natural images,often lack interpretability and adaptability when processing high-resolution digital pathological *** limitation is particularly evident in pathological diagnosis,which is the gold standard of cancer diagnosis and relies on a pathologist’s careful examination and analysis of digital pathological slides to identify the features and progression of the ***,the integration of interpretable AI into smart medical diagnosis is not only an inevitable technological trend but also a key to improving diagnostic accuracy and *** this paper,we introduce an innovative Multi-Scale Multi-Branch Feature Encoder(MSBE)and present the design of the CrossLinkNet *** MSBE enhances the network’s capability for feature extraction by allowing the adjustment of hyperparameters to configure the number of branches and *** CrossLinkNet Framework,serving as a versatile image segmentation network architecture,employs cross-layer encoder-decoder connections for multi-level feature fusion,thereby enhancing feature integration and segmentation *** quantitative and qualitative experiments on two datasets demonstrate that CrossLinkNet,equipped with the MSBE encoder,not only achieves accurate segmentation results but is also adaptable to various tumor segmentation tasks and scenarios by replacing different feature ***,CrossLinkNet emphasizes the interpretability of the AI model,a crucial aspect for medical professionals,providing an in-depth understanding of the model’s decisions and thereby enhancing trust and reliability in AI-assisted diagnostics.

With the maturity and development of 5G field,Mobile Edge CrowdSensing(MECS),as an intelligent data collection paradigm,provides a broad prospect for various applications in ***,sensing users as data uploaders lack a balance between data benefits and privacy threats,leading to conservative data uploads and low revenue or excessive uploads and privacy *** solve this problem,a Dynamic Privacy Measurement and Protection(DPMP)framework is proposed based on differential privacy and reinforcement ***,a DPM model is designed to quantify the amount of data privacy,and a calculation method for personalized privacy threshold of different users is also ***,a Dynamic Private sensing data Selection(DPS)algorithm is proposed to help sensing users maximize data benefits within their privacy ***,theoretical analysis and ample experiment results show that DPMP framework is effective and efficient to achieve a balance between data benefits and sensing user privacy protection,in particular,the proposed DPMP framework has 63%and 23%higher training efficiency and data benefits,respectively,compared to the Monte Carlo algorithm.

An Improved Northern Goshawk Optimization Algorithm for Feature Selection

Feature Selection(FS)is an important data management technique that aims to minimize redundant information in a *** work proposes DENGO,an improved version of the Northern Goshawk Optimization(NGO),to address the FS *** NGO is an efficient swarm-based algorithm that takes its inspiration from the predatory actions of the northern *** order to overcome the disadvantages that NGO is prone to local optimum trap,slow convergence speed and low convergence accuracy,two strategies are introduced in the original NGO to boost the effectiveness of ***,a learning strategy is proposed where search members learn by learning from the information gaps of other members of the population to enhance the algorithm's global search ability while improving the population ***,a hybrid differential strategy is proposed to improve the capability of the algorithm to escape from the trap of the local optimum by perturbing the individuals to improve convergence accuracy and *** prove the effectiveness of the suggested DENGO,it is measured against eleven advanced algorithms on the CEC2015 and CEC2017 benchmark functions,and the obtained results demonstrate that the DENGO has a stronger global exploration capability with higher convergence performance and ***,the proposed DENGO is used for FS,and the 29 benchmark datasets from the UCL database prove that the DENGO-based FS method equipped with higher classification accuracy and stability compared with eight other popular FS methods,and therefore,DENGO is considered to be one of the most prospective FS ***'s code can be obtained at https://***/matlabcentral/fileexchange/158811-project1.

Quantum key distribution(QKD)is a technology that can resist the threat of quantum computers to existing conventional cryptographic ***,due to the stringent requirements of the quantum key generation environment,the generated quantum keys are considered valuable,and the slow key generation rate conflicts with the high-speed data transmission in traditional optical *** this paper,for the QKD network with a trusted relay,which is mainly based on point-to-point quantum keys and has complex changes in network resources,we aim to allocate resources reasonably for data packet ***,we formulate a linear programming constraint model for the key resource allocation(KRA)problem based on the time-slot ***,we propose a new scheduling scheme based on the graded key security requirements(GKSR)and a new micro-log key storage algorithm for effective storage and management of key ***,we propose a key resource consumption(KRC)routing optimization algorithm to properly allocate time slots,routes,and key *** results show that the proposed scheme significantly improves the key distribution success rate and key resource utilization rate,among others.

A deep learning model enabled multi-event recognition for distributed optical fiber sensing

Fiber optic sensors that utilize backscattered light offer distributed real-time measurements and have been seen tremendous improvements in sensing distance and spatial resolution over the last ***, these improvements in sensor capabilities lead to a significant increase in the amount of data that needs to be processed. Traditional processing schemes are no longer adequate, so the development of novel signal processing methods is critical. Phase-sensitive optical time domain reflectometry(Φ-OTDR) is now applied in various applications for multi-event recognition, and it would usually be difficult, sometimes even unrealistic to label all the acquired samples due to its real-time and seamless monitoring nature. To fully take advantage of the information contained within the large number of unlabeled samples, which were formerly not utilized and hence wasted, we propose a semi-supervised model to boost the event classification performance of Φ-OTDR. The model extracts respectively the temporal features and the spatial bidirectional features together with a dual attention mechanism. Its classification accuracy has been improved up to 96.9%with only 1230 labeled samples. In addition, our model shows significant advantages when the number of labeled samples is reduced. Importantly, our method improves the accuracy of multi-event classification without any modification to the optical setup.

Understanding and improving fairness in cognitive diagnosis

Intelligent education is a significant application of artificial intelligence. One of the key research topics in intelligence education is cognitive diagnosis, which aims to gauge the level of proficiency among students on specific knowledge concepts(e.g., Geometry). To the best of our knowledge, most of the existing cognitive models primarily focus on improving diagnostic accuracy while rarely considering fairness issues; for instance, the diagnosis of students may be affected by various sensitive attributes(e.g., region). In this paper,we aim to explore fairness in cognitive diagnosis and answer two questions:(1) Are the results of existing cognitive diagnosis models affected by sensitive attributes?(2) If yes, how can we mitigate the impact of sensitive attributes to ensure fair diagnosis results? To this end, we first empirically reveal that several wellknown cognitive diagnosis methods usually lead to unfair performances, and the trend of unfairness varies among different cognitive diagnosis models. Then, we make a theoretical analysis to explain the reasons behind this phenomenon. To resolve the unfairness problem in existing cognitive diagnosis models, we propose a general fairness-aware cognitive diagnosis framework, FairCD. Our fundamental principle involves eliminating the effect of sensitive attributes on student proficiency. To achieve this, we divide student proficiency in existing cognitive diagnosis models into two components: bias proficiency and fair *** design two orthogonal tasks for each of them to ensure that fairness in proficiency remains independent of sensitive attributes and take it as the final diagnosed result. Extensive experiments on the Program for International Student Assessment(PISA) dataset clearly show the effectiveness of our framework.

A general tail item representation enhancement framework for sequential recommendation

Recently advancements in deep learning models have significantly facilitated the development of sequential recommender systems (SRS). However, the current deep model structures are limited in their ability to learn high-quality embeddings with insufficient data. Meanwhile, highly skewed long-tail distribution is very common in recommender systems. Therefore, in this paper, we focus on enhancing the representation of tail items to improve sequential recommendation performance. Through empirical studies on benchmarks, we surprisingly observe that both the ranking performance and training procedure are greatly hindered by the poorly optimized tail item embeddings. To address this issue, we propose a sequential recommendation framework named TailRec that enables contextual information of tail item well-leveraged and greatly improves its corresponding representation. Given the characteristics of the sequential recommendation task, the surrounding interaction records of each tail item are regarded as contextual information without leveraging any additional side information. This approach allows for the mining of contextual information from cross-sequence behaviors to boost the performance of sequential recommendations. Such a light contextual filtering component is plug-and-play for a series of SRS models. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed TailRec, we conduct extensive experiments over several popular benchmark recommenders. The experimental results demonstrate that TailRec can greatly improve the recommendation results and speed up the training process. The codes of our methods have been available.

In recent years,the rapid development of Internet technology has constantly enriched people's daily life and gradually changed from the traditional computer terminal to the mobile *** with it comes the security problems brought by the mobile *** for Android system,due to its open source nature,malicious applications continue to emerge,which greatly threatens the data security of ***,this paper proposes a method of trusted embedded static measurement and data transmission protection architecture based on Android to reduce the risk of data leakage in the process of terminal storage and *** conducted detailed data and feasibility analysis of the proposed method from the aspects of time consumption,storage overhead and *** experimental results show that this method can detect Android system layer attacks such as self-booting of the malicious module and improve the security of data encryption and transmission process *** with the native system,the additional performance overhead is small.

With the widespread use of machine learning(ML)technology,the operational efficiency and responsiveness of power grids have been significantly enhanced,allowing smart grids to achieve high levels of automation and ***,tree ensemble models commonly used in smart grids are vulnerable to adversarial attacks,making it urgent to enhance their *** address this,we propose a robustness enhancement method that incorporates physical constraints into the node-splitting decisions of tree *** algorithm improves robustness by developing a dataset of adversarial examples that comply with physical laws,ensuring training data accurately reflects possible attack scenarios while adhering to physical *** our experiments,the proposed method increased robustness against adversarial attacks by 100%when applied to real grid data under physical *** results highlight the advantages of our method in maintaining efficient and secure operation of smart grids under adversarial conditions.
