Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of mind-refreshing and balance-restoring needling method combined with Frenkel exercises in treating ataxia after cerebral ***:The recruited 120 patients were randomized into an observation group and a control group,with 60 cases in each *** control group was intervened by mind-refreshing and balance-restoring needling method,while the observation group was given additional lower-limb Frenkel *** and after treatment and at the follow-up,the ataxic lower-limb function was scored using Berg balance scale(BBS)and international cooperative ataxia rating scale(ICARS),and Barthel index(BI)was adopted to score the activities of daily living(ADL).Results:After treatment,the markedly effective rate was 70.2%and the total effective rate was 96.5%in the observation group,versus 39.7%and 87.9%in the control group,and the differences in the markedly effective rate and the total effective rate were statistically significant(P0.05),while the between-group differences in the ICARS and BI scores were statistically significant at the follow-up(both P<0.05).The interaction effects between the scoring time of BBS and BI and the group factor were statistically significant(P<0.01,P<0.05).Conclusion:Mind-refreshing and balance-restoring needling can effectively improve the lower-limb ataxic symptoms and ADL after stroke;when combined with Fenkel exercises,this needling method can produce more significant efficacy.

Objective:To analyze the preventive effect of specialized nurse health education on diabetic foot ***:From January 2022 to December 2022,90 diabetic high-risk foot patients that were admitted to the Endocrinology Department of a general hospital in Macao that met the inclusion criteria were selected as the research *** research subjects were randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group,with 45 cases in each group by mechanical sampling *** foot care knowledge of the patients one month and three months after the intervention were evaluated and ***:The scores of foot care knowledge in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group at one month and three months after the intervention,and the dift'ercncc was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Health education by specialized nurses are essential in preventing and treating diabetic foot *** prevention and management of diabetic foot ulcers can be achieved through guidance on diet control,exercise,foot care,blood sugar monitoring,infection prevention,stress reduction,appropriate medication,and regular follow-up.

Providing financial incentives to rural-to-urban tuberculosis migrants in Shanghai: an intervention study

Background:Financial issues are major barriers for rural-to-urban migrants accessing tuberculosis(TB)care in *** paper discusses the effectiveness of providing financial incentives to migrant TB patients(with a focus on poor migrants in one district of Shanghai using treatment completion and default rates),the effect of financial incentives in terms of reducing the TB patient cost,and the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio of the ***:Ninety and ninety-three migrant TB patients were registered in the intervention and control districts *** treatment completion rates significantly improved by 11%(from 78%to 89%)in the intervention district,compared with only a 3%increase(from 73%to 76%)in the control district(P=0.03).Default rates significantly decreased by 11%(from 22%to 11%)in the intervention district,compared with 1%(from 24%to 23%)in the control district(P=0.03).In the intervention district,the financial subsidy(RMB 1,080/US$170)accounted for 13%of the average patient direct cost(RMB 8,416/US$1,332).Each percent increase in treatment completion costs required an additional RMB 6,550(US$1,301)and each percent reduction in defaults costs required an additional RMB 5,240(US$825)in the intervention ***:Overall,financial incentives proved to be effective in improving treatment completion and reducing default rates among migrant TB patients in *** results suggest that financial incentives can be effectively utilized as a strategy to enhance case management among migrant TB patients in large cities in China,and this strategy may be applicable to similar international settings.

AIM:To explore the DNA image cytometry (DNA-ICM) technique as a primary screening method for esopha-geal squamous precancerous ***:This study was designed as a population-based screening study.A total of 582 local residents aged 40 years-69 years were recruited from Linzhou in Henan and Feicheng in ***,only 452 subjects had results of liquid-based cytology,DNA-ICM and *** sensitivity and specificity of DNA-ICM were calculated and compared with liquid-based cytology in moderate dysplasia or ***:Sensitivities of DNA-ICM ranging from at least 1 to 4 aneuploid cells were 90.91%,86.36%,79.55% and 77.27%,respectively,which were better than that of liquid-based cytology (75%).Specifici-ties of DNA-ICM were 70.83%,84.07%,92.65% and 96.81%,but the specificity of liquid-based cytology was 91.91%.The sensitivity and specificity of a combination of liquid-based cytology and DNA-ICM were 84.09% and 85.78%,***:It is possible to use DNA-ICM tech-nique as a primary screening method for esophageal squamous precancerous lesions.

Common chronic health problems and life satisfaction among Macao elderly people

Background and Aims:Tenofovir amibufenamide(TMF)is a novel phosphoramidated prodrug of tenofovir with nonin-ferior efficacy and better bone and renal safety to tenofovir disoproxil fumarate(TDF)in 48 weeks of ***,we update 96-week comparison ***:Patients with chronic hepatitis B were assigned(2:1)to receive either 25 mg TMF or 300 mg TDF with matching placebo for 96 *** virological suppression was defined as HBV DNA levels<20 IU/mL at week *** was evaluated thoroughly with focusing on bone,renal,and metabolic ***:Virological suppression rates at week 96 were similar between TMF and TDF group in both HBeAg-positive and HBeAg-negative *** efficacy was maintained in the pooled population,while it was first achieved in patients with HBV DNA≥7 or 8 log10 IU/mL at ***-indexed estimated glomerular filtration rate for renal safety assessment was adopted,while a smaller decline of which was seen in the TMF group than in the TDF group(p=0.01).For bone mineral density,patients receiv-ing TMF displayed significantly lower reduction levels in the densities of spine,hip,and femur neck at week 96 than those receiving *** addition,the lipid parameters were stable after week 48 in all groups while weight change still showed the opposite ***:TMF maintained similar efficacy at week 96 compared with TDF with continued superior bone and renal safety profiles(NCT03903796).

Background Many recipients of implantable cardiac electronic devices have atrial fibrillation （AF） occurrences after device implantation, even if there is no previous history of AF, and some of the episodes are asymptomatic. The purpose of this study was to evaluate trends in AF burden following early AF detection in patients treated with pacemakers equipped with automatic, daily Home Monitoring function. Methods Between February 2009 and December 2010, the registry recruited 701 pacemaker patients （628 dual-chamber, 73 biventricular devices） at 97 clinical centers in China. Daily Home Monitoring data transmissions were analyzed to screen for the AF burden. In-office follow-ups were scheduled for 3 and 6 months after implantation. Upon first AF （i.e., mode-switch） detection in a patient, screening olAF burden by Home Monitoring was extended for the next 180 days. Results At least one episode of AF was observed in 22.9% of patients with dual-chamber pacemakers and in 28.8% of patients with biventricular pacemakers. The first AF detection in a patient occurred, on average, about 2 months before scheduled follow-up visits. In both pacemaker groups, mean AF burden decreased significantly （P〈0.05） over 180 days following first AF detection： from 12.0% to 2.5% in dual-chamber and from 12.2% to 0.5% in biventricular pacemaker recipients. The number of patients with an AF burden 〉10% per month was significantly reduced over 6 months of implantation in both dual chamber （38 patients in the first month vs. 21 patients in month 6, P〈0.05） and biventricular （7 patients in the first month vs. 0 patient in months 4-6, P〈0.05） pacemaker recipients. Conclusions Automatic, daily Home Monitoring of patients treated with cardiac pacemakers allows early detection of AF, and there is a gradual and significant decrease in AF burden.
