Radiotherapy combined with immune checkpoint blockade holds great promise for synergistic antitumor *** radionuclide therapy delivers radiation directly to tumor ***1004 is a fibroblast activation protein(FAP)-targeting radiopharmaceutical,conjugated with the albumin binder Evans Blue,which has demonstrated enhanced tumor uptake and retention in previous preclinical and clinical ***,we demonstrate that^(68)Ga/^(177)Lu-labeled LNC1004 exhibits increased uptake and prolonged retention in MC38/NIH3T3-FAP and CT26/NIH3T3-FAP tumor *** therapy with^(177)Lu-LNC1004 induced a transient upregulation of PD-L1 expression in tumor *** combination of^(177)Lu-LNC1004 and anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy led to complete eradication of all tumors in MC38/NIH3T3-FAP tumor-bearing mice,with mice showing 100%tumor rejection upon ***,single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq),and TCR sequencing revealed that combination therapy reprogrammed the tumor microenvironment in mice to foster antitumor immunity by suppressing malignant progression and increasing cell-to-cell communication,CD8^(+)T-cell activation and expansion,M1 macrophage counts,antitumor activity of neutrophils,and T-cell receptor diversity.A preliminary clinical study demonstrated that^(177)Lu-LNC1004 was well-tolerated and effective in patients with refractory ***,scRNA-seq of peripheral blood mononuclear cells underscored the importance of addressing immune evasion through immune checkpoint blockade *** was emphasized by the observed increase in antigen processing and presentation juxtaposed with T cell *** conclusion,our data supported the efficacy of immunotherapy combined with^(177)Lu-LNC1004 for cancer patients with FAP-positive tumors.

Objective: To evaluate transperineal laser ablation (TPLA) with Echolaser® (Echolaser® TPLA, Elesta S.p.A., Calenzano, Italy) as a treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer (PCa) using the Delphi consensus ***: Italian and international experts on BPH and PCa participated in a collaborative consensus project. During two rounds, they expressed their opinions on Echolaser® TPLA for the treatment of BPH and PCa answering online questionnaires on indications, methodology, and potential complications of this technology. Level of agreement or disagreement to reach consensus was set at 75%. If the consensus was not achieved, questions were modified after each round. A final round was performed during an online meeting, in which results were discussed and ***: Thirty-two out of forty invited experts participated and consensus was reached on all topics. Agreement was achieved on recommending Echolaser® TPLA as a treatment of BPH in patients with ample range of prostate volume, from 80 mL (80%), comorbidities (100%), antiplatelet or anticoagulant treatment (96%), indwelling catheter (77%), and strong will of preserving ejaculatory function (100%). Majority of respondents agreed that Echolaser® TPLA is a potential option for the treatment of localized PCa (78%) and recommended it for low-risk PCa (90%). During the final round, experts concluded that it can be used for intermediate-risk PCa and it should be proposed as an effective alternative to radical prostatectomy for patients with strong will of avoiding urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction. Almost all participants agreed that the transperineal approach of this organ-sparing technique is safer than transrectal and transurethral approaches typical of other techniques (97% of agreement among experts). Radiographic Equipment and Accessories as a Potential Source of Nosocomial Infection

Background: Nosocomial infections have become a major challenge in healthcare facilities as they affect the quality of medical care. Radiological imaging plays a crucial role in medical diagnosis. However, the equipment and accessories used increase the risk of transmission of nosocomial bacteria. Objective: This study aims to reveal the extent and nature of microbiological contamination in four hospital diagnostic imaging departments to determine their potential role in the spread of nosocomial bacteria and to evaluate the effectiveness of routine daily disinfection practices in controlling microorganisms in diagnostic imaging departments. Methods & Results: In each department, swabs were taken from the surfaces of selected parts of the equipment and accessories three times a day (early morning, noon, and evening) for five consecutive days. Bacteria were isolated from 65 swabs (36.1% of all samples). The bacteria were isolated 3 times (4.6%) in the morning, 16 times (24.6%) at midday, and 46 times (70.7%) in the evening. The bacteria isolated were Escherichia coli (isolated 34 times;52.3%), Staphylococcus aureus (20 times;30.8%), Staphylococcus epidermidis (6 times;9.3%), and Klebsiella species (5 times;7.7%). Discussion & Conclusion: Findings demonstrated that radiology equipment and accessories are not free of bacteria and further improvements in the sterilization and disinfection of radiology equipment and accessories are needed to protect staff and patients from nosocomial infections.

Early-onset mental disorders are associated with disrupted neurodevelopmental processes during *** methylazoxymethanol acetate(MAM)animal model,in which disruption in neurodevelopmental processes is induced,mimics the abnormal neurodevelopment associated with early-onset mental disorders from an etiological *** conducted longitudinal structural magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)scans during childhood,adolescence,and adulthood in MAM rats to identify specific brain regions and critical windows for ***,the effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)intervention on the target brain region during the critical window was *** addition,the efficacy of this intervention paradigm was tested in a group of adolescent patients with early-onset mental disorders(diagnosed with major depressive disorder or bipolar disorder)to evaluate its clinical translational *** results demonstrated that,compared to the control group,the MAM rats exhibited significantly lower striatal volume from childhood to adulthood(all P0.05)but was significantly lower than the control group from adolescence to adulthood(both P0.05).In the clinical trial,adolescents with early-onset mental disorders showed a significant increase in hippocampal volume after rTMS treatment compared to baseline(P<0.01),and these volumetric changes were associated with improvement in depressive symptoms(r=−0.524,P=0.018).These findings highlight the potential of targeting aberrant hippocampal development during adolescence as a viable intervent
