Directional hydraulic fracturing to control hard-roof rockburst in coal mines

Hard roof is the main factor that induces *** view of the present obvious weakness of control measures for hard roof rockburst in domestic collieries,the mechanism and field application of directional hydraulic fracturing technology for rock-burst prevention have been investigated in this paper using theoretical analysis and numerical *** results show that the weighting span of the main roof and the released kinetic energy as well as the total elastic energy decreased greatly after the directional fracturing of hard roof with the mining progression,thereby reducing the rockburst hazard degree to coal *** directional hydraulic fracturing technology was carried out in 6305 working face of jisan coal mine to prevent *** practices have proved that this technology is much simpler and safer to operate with better prevention effect compared with *** optimizing the operation procedures and developing a new technology of automated high-pressure delivery pipe,the maximum fracturing radius now reaches more than 9 m and the borehole depth exceeds 20 ***,drilling cutting method was applied to monitor the stress of the coal mass before and after the fracturing,and the drill cuttings dropped significantly which indicates that the burst prevention effect of directional hydraulic fracturing technology is very *** research results of this paper have laid a theoretical and practical foundation for the widespread application of the directional hydraulic fracturing technology in China.

Fuzzy Evaluation of coal Seam Geological Condition of Fully-Mechanized Face in Ten-Million-Ton mine

Based on coal seam geological condition and mining technological characteristic in jisan mine, coal seamgeological condition is quantitative evaluated by using fuzzy evaluation with the view of coal mining and coalfaceproduction. The structure and index system of evaluation factor, the membership functions and weights of evaluationfactor, evaluation model and reliability in the coal seam geological conditions are expounded in detail. Eighty-twocoalfaces which will be exploited is classified. All of these have provided a theoretical foundation for the selection ofcoal mining technology and for sustainable development of the coal mine.

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF MOIST EXPOSED BURN THERAPY/MOIST EXPOSED BURN OINTMENT ON MAINTAINING A PHYSIOLOGICAL MOIST ENVIRONMENT IN BURN WOUND

Objective: To verify the moisture maintaining effect of moist exposed bum ointment (MEBO) in treating burn wound. Methods: Rabbit model with Ⅱdegree burn wound was used in this study. Observations were conducted at 0 (before burn), 0. 5, 6, 24, 48, 72, and 168 hours postburn. The data of wound water evaporation, wound appearance and pathological changes of the wounds were compared with that Of the bum wounds treated with Vaseline or conventional dry exposed therapy. Results: It was found that wounds treated with MEBO had water evaporation close to that of normal skin and was significantly less than that of the wounds treated with dry exposed therapy (P<0. 01). MEBO did not obstruct water evaporation from wound as Vaseline did (P<0.01). Wounds treated with MEBO had good permeability and adequate drainage. Conclusion: MEBO provided the wounds with a physiological moist environment.

Comprehensive evaluation of water-inrush risk from coal floors

Lower groups of coal seams are presently being mined from water-inrush from coal floors in order to have safe production in the yanzhou coal mining area. We need to evaluate the risk in the lower groups of coal seams in mines. Based on a systematic collection of hydrogeological data and some data from mined working faces in these lower groups, we evaluated the factors affecting water-inrush from coal floors of the area by a method of dimensionless analysis. We obtained the order of the factors affecting water-inrush from coal floors and recalculated data on depths of destroyed floors by multiple linear regression analysis and obtained new empirical formulas. We also analyzed the water-inrush coefficient of mined working faces of the lower groups of coal seams and improved the evaluation standard of the water-inrush coefficient method. Finally, we made a comprehensive evaluation of water-inrush risks from coal floors by using the water-inrush coefficient method and a fuzzy clustering method. The evaluation results provide a solid foundation for preventing and controlling the damage caused by water of an Ordovician limestone aquifer in the lower group of coal seams in the mines of yanzhou. It provides also important guidelines for lower groups of coal seams in other coal mines.
