[Objectives]This study was conducted to purify mutton samples by gel permeation chromatography(GPC).[Methods]Fourteen organophosphorus pesticide residues in samples were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)in selective ion scanning mode(SIM).[Results]The organophosphorus pesticide standard solutions showed good linearity in the mass concentration range of 0.1-10.0μg/ml with correlation coefficients(r)not lower than 0.999,and the detection limits(S=3 N)ranged from 0.01 to 0.05 mg/*** average recovery values were in the range of 80.2%-99.7%,with relative standard deviations(RSDs,n=3)in the range of 1.8%-6.3%,at the addition levels of 0.5,1.0 and 2.0 mg/kg.[Conclusions]The method is simple,sensitive and accurate,and can be used for the determination of organophosphorus pesticide residues in mutton.

Effects of Exogenous 5-Aminolevulinic Acid and 24-Epibrassinolide on Cd Accumulation in Rice from Cd-Contaminated Soil

High grain-Cd-accumulating rice variety Yongyou 9 was planted in Cd-contaminated farmland in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, China to study the effects of 5-aminolevulinic acid(ALA) and24-epibrassinolide(EBR) on Cd accumulation in brown rice. Results showed that the exogenous ALA and EBR had no significant effects on agronomic traits, soil pH and total Cd content in soil, but had some effects on the available Cd content in soil, and significantly influenced the Cd accumulation in the different parts of rice. Results also showed that 100 mg/L exogenous ALA significantly reduced the Cd accumulation in brown rice to blow the food safety standard(0.2 mg/kg), and also significantly reduced the Cd contents in the roots and culm of rice. However, 200 mg/L exogenous ALA treatment increased the Cd content in brown rice remarkably. In addition, 0.15 mg/L EBR treatment increased Cd accumulation in roots, culm, leaves and brown rice notably, whereas 0.30 mg/L exogenous EBR treatment reduced the Cd accumulation in brown rice properly, but it was not significant. Therefore,proper concentration of ALA can effectively reduce the Cd accumulation in brown rice, which can be used as an effective technical method for the safe production of rice in Cd polluted farmland.

Purpose Our purpose was to compare the difference between hot-air dried American ginseng(HDAG)(Panacis Quinquefolii Radix)and freeze-dried American ginseng(FDAG)(Panacis Quinquefolii Radix)and provide a better drying approach for improv-ing the quality of American ginseng(Panacis Quinquefolii Radix).Methods In our present study,we compared the appearance features of HDAG and FDAG using a CR-410 colorimeter and scanning electron ***,we qualitatively and quantitatively determined ginsenosides in HDAG and FDAG by using UPLC-Q Exactive Orbitrap-MS/MS and high-performance liquid *** Our present results showed that compared to the hot-air drying method,freeze-drying(FD)has obvious advantages in not only good appearances but also higher bioactive constituents for drying the American ginseng(Panacis Quinquefolii Radix).Conclusion FD is beneficial for the retention of ginsenosides in American ginseng(Panacis Quinquefolii Radix)and also helpful for maintaining the bioactive effects of this functional food.

Ferulic acid inclusion complexes(FA-HP-β-CD)effects on tyramine accumulation and gene expression of Enterobacter hormaechei MW386398 in traditional smoked horsemeat sausages were *** transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)was used to identify the expression of tyrosine decarboxylase(TDC)clusters in the tyramine producing *** addition,relevant parameters such as microbial growth,moisture content,pH,and tyramine accumulation in pure cultures and during fermentation of smoked horsemeat sausages were *** acid(FA)and FA-HP-β-CD inclusion complexes both significantly decreased tyramine accumulation,as well as significantly inhibited tyrosine decarboxylase(tdcA)and tyrosine/tyramine antiporter(tyrP)genes expression(p<0.05).Furthermore,FA and FA-HP-β-CD inclusion complexes both reduced the number of Enterobacteriaceae in smoked horsemeat sausages,but did not alter the main ***,FA-HP-β-CD inclusion complexes exhibited stronger ability in hindering TDC related gene expression,reducing tyramine accumulation and antibacterial *** results indicate that FA-HP-β-CD inclusion complexes are able to reduce tyramine accumulation in smoked horsemeat sausages by inhibiting Enterobacteriaceae growth and gene expression.

Post-stroke depression is associated with reduced expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor （BDNF）. In this study, we evaluated whether BDNF overexpression affects depression-like behavior in a rat model of post-stroke depression. The middle cerebral artery was occluded to produce a model of focal cerebral ischemia. These rats were then subjected to isolation-housing combined with chronic unpredictable mild stress to generate a model of post-stroke depression. A BDNF gene lentiviral vector was injected into the hippocampus. At 7 days after injection, western blot assay and real-time quantitative PCR revealed that BDNF expression in the hippo- campus was increased in depressive rats injected with BDNF lentivirus compared with depressive rats injected with control vector. Furthermore, sucrose solution consumption was higher, and horizontal and vertical movement scores were increased in the open field test in these rats as well. These findings suggest that BDNF overexpression in the hippocampus of post-stroke depressive rats alleviates depression-like behaviors.

The training set of a universal near infrared (NIR) model for quantitative analysis of a drug should cover as many samples of this drug in the market as possible. Inevitably the model may fail for new products that have different excipients and production processes. In such circumstances the model should be updated. We here propose a new strategy to iteratively update a universal NIR quantitative model for azithromycin. We prove that universal quantitative models generated from this new strategy are comparably effective for azithromycin injection powders and azithromycin tablets, compared to the strategy using hierarchical clustering method which we reported previously. Furthermore, we establish the correlation coefficient r between a new sample and the training set samples can be used to decide whether or not the model should be updated.
