Active shim co.ls design for Halbach magnet based on inverse boundary element method

With advantages of small volume,high field strength,and co.pact stray field,the Halbach array magnet is of great potential in desktop NMR ***,field inhomogeneity poses a main obstacle to its *** shimming is necessary for improving the field *** active shim co.l design method for cylindrical Halbach magnet based on inverse boundary element method(iBEM)is introduced in this *** co.ls targeting 1st~3rd and Z4/Z5/Z6 spherical harmonic(SH)terms were designed with co.straints of field accuracy,resistance,inductance,and current *** loops and symmetric property influence were discussed to further improve the performance of high-order shim ***,with the prototype of the shim co.ls co.structed,field pattern and SH transformation proved that the co.ls designed co.ld fit the target SH distribution,though co.tamination from low-order co.ponents existed in highorder terms.A practical shimming experiment on the Halbach magnet has improved the homogeneity from 40.3 ppm to 3.8 ppm in radius 2.5 mm,height 5 mm cylindrical sample space,verifying the co.ls'co.pensation *** work provides a flexible inverse co.l design method for cylindrical Halbach magnet and discusses the high-order shim co.l design and implementation,which is potential in nuclear magnetic resonance applications based on Halbach magnet arrays.

Circulating tumor cells(CTCs)have tremendous potential to indicate disease progression and monitor therapeutic response using minimally invasive *** the limitations of affinity strategies based on their co.t,effectiveness,and simplicity,size-based enrichment methods that involve low-co.t,label-free,and relatively simple protoco.s have been further ***,the key challenges of these methods are clogging issues and cell aggregation,which reduce the reco.ery rates and *** by the natural phenomenon that the airflow around a windmill is disturbed,in this study,a windmill-like hole array on the SU-8 membrane was designed to perturb the fluid such that cells in a fluid would be able to self-mix and that the pressure acting on cells or the membrane would be dispersed to allow a greater *** addition,based on the advantages of fluid co.tings,a lipid co.ting was used to modify the membrane surface to prevent cell aggregation and clogging of the *** the optimal co.ditions,reco.ery rates of 93%and 90%were found for A549 and HeLa cells in a clinical simulation test of our platform with a CTC co.centration of 20-100 cells per milliliter of *** white blood cell(WBC)depletion rate was 98.7%(n=15),and the CTC detection limit was less than 10 cells per milliliter of blood(n=6).Moreover,co.pared with co.ventional membrane filtration,the advantages of the proposed device for the rapid(2 mL/min)and efficient enrichment of CTCs without clogging were shown both experimentally and *** to its advantages in the efficient,rapid,uniform,and clog-free enrichment of CTCs,our platform offers great potential for metastatic detection and therapy analyses.

Influence of cerium on solidification, recrystallization and strengthening of Cu-Ag alloys

Cu-Ag-RE alloys with different Ce co.tents were prepared by vacuum melting, and microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of Cu-Ag-Ce alloys were investigated by optical microsco.y, scanning electronic microsco.y with electron back-scattered diffraction and tensile test. The results indicated that a co.umnar to equiaxed transition in cast Cu-Ag-RE alloys was observed due to Ce addition and area of the region with equiaxed grains enlarged with increasing Ce co.tent. co.d-rolled Cu-Ag-RE alloys in annealed co.dition exhibited a partially or fully recrystallized grain structure depending on the co.centration of Ce. The average grain size decreased and texture co.ponents changed with increasing Ce co.tent. The main brass-type texture co.ponent changed to be co.per-type as the Ce co.tent increased from 0.05 wt.% to 1.0 wt.%. The Cu-Ag-RE alloy with 0.2 wt.% Ce showed maximum ultimate tensile strength, while the sample with 1.0 wt.% Ce showed a better co.prehensive mechanical property.

Ultrasensitive assay of ctDNA based on DNA triangular prism and three-way junction nanostructures

Calcium looping heat storage performance and mechanical property of CaO-based pellets under fluidization

The CaO-based pellets were fabricated using extrusion-spheronization method for calcium looping thermochemical heat storage under the *** effects of adhesive,biomass-based pore-forming agent,binder and particle size on the heat storage performance and mechanical property of the CaObased pellets were investigated in a bubbling fluidized bed *** addition of 2%(mass)polyvinylpyrrolidone as an adhesive not only helps granulate,but also improves the heat storage capacity of the *** biomass-templated CaO-based pellets display higher heat storage capacity than biomass-free pellets,indicating that the biomass-based pore-forming agent is beneficial for heat storage under the ***,bagasse-templated pellets show the highest heat storage co.version of 0.61 after 10 ***,Al_(2)O_(3)as a binder for the pellets helps obtain high mechanical *** CaO-based pellets doped with 10%(mass)bagasse and 5%(mass)Al_(2)O_(3)reach the highest heat storage density of 1621 kJ·kg^(-1) after 30 cycles and the highest crushing strength of 4.98 *** microstructure of the bagasse-templated pellets appears more porous than that of biomass-free *** bagassetemplated CaO-based pellets doped with Al_(2)O_(3)seem promising for thermochemical heat storage under the fluidization,owing to the enhanced heat storage capacity,excellent mechanical strength,and simplicity of the synthesis procedure.
