Micro segment analysis of supercritical methane thermal-hydraulic performance and pseudo-boiling in a PCHE straight channel

The printed circuit heat exchanger(PCHE) is receiving wide attention as a new kind of compact heat exchanger and is considered as a promising vaporizer in the LNG process. In this paper, a PCHE straight channel in the length of 500 mm is established, with a semicircular cross section in a diameter of 1.2 *** simulation is employed to investigate the flow and heat transfer performance of supercritical methane in the channel. The pseudo-boiling theory is adopted and the liquid-like, two-phase-like, and vapor-like regimes are divided for supercritical methane to analyze the heat transfer and flow *** results are presented in micro segment to show the local convective heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop. It shows that the convective heat transfer coefficient in segments along the channel has a significant peak feature near the pseudo-critical point and a heat transfer deterioration when the average fluid temperature in the segment is higher than the pseudo-critical point. The reason is explained with the generation of vapor-like film near the channel wall that the peak feature related to a nucleateboiling-like state and heat transfer deterioration related to a film-boiling-like state. The effects of parameters, including mass flow rate, pressure, and wall heat flux on flow and heat transfer were *** calculating of the averaged heat transfer coefficient of the whole channel, the traditional method shows significant deviation and the micro segment weighted average method is adopted. The pressure drop can mainly be affected by the mass flux and pressure and little affected by the wall heat flux. The peak of the convective heat transfer coefficient can only form at high mass flux, low wall heat flux, and near critical pressure, in which condition the nucleate-boiling-like state is easier to appear. We conduct an experimental study supported by theoretical analysis of single laser ablating copper to investigate the interactions between laser and material at different sample temperatures,and predict the changes of ablation morphology and lattice *** investigating the effect of sample temperature on femtosecond laser processing,we conduct experiments on and simulate the thermal behavior of femtosecond laser irradiating copper by using a two-temperature *** simulation results show that both electron peak temperature and the relaxation time needed to reach equilibrium increase as initial sample temperature *** the sample temperature rises from 300 K to 600 K,the maximum lattice temperature of the copper surface increases by about 6500 K under femtosecond laser irradiation,and the ablation depth increases by 20%.The simulated ablation depths follow the same general trend as the experimental *** work provides some theoretical basis and technical support for developing femtosecond laser processing in the field of metal materials.

Ethylene, the simplest model of a carbon-carbon double bond system, is pivotal in numerous chemical and biological processes. By employing intense infrared laser pump-probe techniques alongside coincidence measurements, we investigate the ultrafast non-adiabatic dynamics involved in the breakage of carbon-carbon double bonds and hydrogen elimination in dissociation of ethylene. Our study entails analyzing the dynamic kinetic energy release spectra to assess three bond-breaking scenarios, movements of nuclei, and structural changes around the carbon atoms. This allows us to evaluate the relaxation dynamics and characteristics of various dissociative states. Notably, we observe a significant rise in the yield of fragments resulting from C–H bond breakage with the delay time extended, suggesting non-adiabatic coupling through conical intersections from C–C bond breakage as a probable cause.

Aiming at the tracking problem of a class of discrete nonaffine nonlinear multi-input multi-output(MIMO) repetitive systems subjected to separable and nonseparable disturbances, a novel data-driven iterative learning control(ILC) scheme based on the zeroing neural networks(ZNNs) is proposed. First, the equivalent dynamic linearization data model is obtained by means of dynamic linearization technology, which exists theoretically in the iteration domain. Then, the iterative extended state observer(IESO) is developed to estimate the disturbance and the coupling between systems, and the decoupled dynamic linearization model is obtained for the purpose of controller synthesis. To solve the zero-seeking tracking problem with inherent tolerance of noise,an ILC based on noise-tolerant modified ZNN is proposed. The strict assumptions imposed on the initialization conditions of each iteration in the existing ILC methods can be absolutely removed with our method. In addition, theoretical analysis indicates that the modified ZNN can converge to the exact solution of the zero-seeking tracking problem. Finally, a generalized example and an application-oriented example are presented to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed process.

Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)are widely used in transportation,energy storage,and other *** prediction of the remaining useful life(RUL)of lithium batteries not only provides a reference for health management but also serves as a basis for assessing the residual value of the *** order to improve the prediction accuracy of the RUL of LIBs,a two-phase RUL early prediction method combining neural network and Gaussian process regression(GPR)is *** the initial phase,the features related to the capacity degradation of LIBs are utilized to train the neural network model,which is used to predict the initial cycle lifetime of 124 *** Pearson coefficient’s two most significant characteristic factors and the predicted normalized lifetime form a 3D *** Euclidean distance between the test dataset and each cell in the training dataset and validation dataset is calculated,and the shortest distance is considered to have a similar degradation pattern,which is used to determine the initial Dual Exponential Model(DEM).In the second phase,GPR uses the DEM as the initial parameter to predict each test set’s early RUL(ERUL).By testing four batteries under different working conditions,the RMSE of all capacity estimation is less than 1.2%,and the accuracy percentage(AP)of remaining life prediction is more than 98%.Experiments show that the method does not need human intervention and has high prediction accuracy.
