Panax ginseng *** an important plant species used in traditional Chinese medicine,whose primary active ingredient is a *** biosynthesis is not only regulated by transcription factors but also controlled by a variety of structural ***,the molecular mechanism underlying ginsenoside biosynthesis has always been a topic in the discussion of ginseng secondary *** epoxidase(SQE)is a key enzyme in the mevalonic acid pathway,which affects the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites such as *** ginseng transcriptome,expression,and ginsenoside content databases,this study employed bioinformatic methods to systematically analyze the genes encoding SQE in *** first selected six PgSQE candidates that were closely involved in ginsenoside biosynthesis and then identified PgSQE08-01 to be highly associated with ginsenoside ***,we constructed the overexpression vector pCAMBIA3301-PgSQE08-01 and the RNAi vector pART27-PgSQE08-01 and transformed ginseng adventitious roots using Agrobacterium rhizogenes,to obtain positive hairy-root ***,quantitative reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction and high-performance liquid chromatography were used to determine the expression of relevant genes and ginsenoside content,***,we focused on the function of PgSQE08-01 gene,which was noted to be involved in ginsenoside ***,these findings not only provided a molecular basis for the identification of important functional genes in ginseng but also enriched genetic resources for the biosynthesis of ginsenosides using synthetic biology.

Heat stress(HS)reaction can lead to serious physiological dysfunction associated with cardiovascular and various organ *** Rg3(G-Rg3)is a representative component of ginseng rare saponin and can protect against multiple organs,also used as functional food to adjust the balance of the human body,but the therapeutic effect and molecular mechanism of G-Rg3 on male diseases under HS are *** aim of the present study,G-Rg3 was prepared through the efficient conversion of ginsenoside Rd and investigate the contribution of G-Rg3 to testicular injury induced exposure to *** mice were divided into four groups as follows:normal group,HS group,and HS+G-Rg3(5 and 10 mg/kg)groups.G-Rg3 was administered orally for 14 days,then exposed to a single scrotal heat treatment(43°C,18min)on the 7th *** HS treatment,the morphology of testis and epididymis changes,and caused a significant loss of multinucleated giant cells,desquamation of germ cells in destructive seminiferous tubules,and degenerative Leydig cells,further destroying the production of *** administration G-Rg3(5 and 10 mg/kg/day)for 2 weeks,the spermatogenic-related indexes of testosterone levels and superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity,glutathione(GSH)content significantly(p<0.01)increase compared with the HS ***,G-Rg3 treatment effectively ameliorated the production of malondialdehyde(MDA)(p<0.05 or p<0.01).Importantly,G-Rg3 exhibited the protective potential against HS-induced injury not only suppressing the protein levels of heme oxygenase-1(HO-1),hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α),and heat shock protein 70(HSP70)but also modulating the Bcl-2 family(p<0.01 or p<0.001)and activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathways(p<0.01).For most of the parameters tested,the HS+G-Rg3(10 mg/kg)group exhibited potent effects compared with those exhibited by the low dose(5 mg/kg)*** conclusion,the present study demonstrated that G-Rg3 exerted protective

Flowering time is important for adaptation of soybean(Glycine max)to different ***,we conducted a genome-wide association study of flowering time using a panel of 1490 cultivated soybean *** identified three strong signals at the qFT02-2 locus(Chr02:12037319–12238569),which were associated with flowering time in three environments:Gongzhuling,Mengcheng,and *** analyzing linkage disequilibrium,gene expression patterns,gene annotation,and the diversity of variants,we identified an AP1 homolog as the candidate gene for the qFT02-2 locus,which we named *** one nonsynonymous polymorphism existed among 1490 soybean accessions at position Chr02:*** carrying the Chr02:12087053-T allele flowered significantly earlier than those carrying the Chr02:12087053-A ***,we developed a cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence(CAPS)marker for the SNP at Chr02:12087053,which is suitable for marker-assisted breeding of flowering *** of GmAP1d in the‘Williams 82’background by gene editing promoted flowering under long-day conditions,confirming that GmAP1d is the causal gene for *** analysis of the region surrounding GmAP1d revealed that GmAP1d was artificially selected during the genetic improvement of *** stepwise selection,the proportion of modern cultivars carrying the Chr02:12087053-T allele has increased,and this allele has become nearly fixed(95%)in northern *** findings provide a theoretical basis for better understanding the molecular regulatory mechanism of flowering time in soybean and a target gene that can be used for breeding modern soybean cultivars adapted to different latitudes.

Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases(CCVDs), which are circulatory system diseases caused by heart defects and vascular diseases, are the major noncommunicable diseases affecting global public health. With the improvement of economic level and the change of human lifestyle, the prevalence of CCVDs continues to increase. ginseng(Panax ginseng C. A. Mey.) was widely used in traditional diseases due to its supposed tonic properties. Ginsenoside Rb_(1) (G-Rb_(1) ) is the most abundant active ingredient with multiple pharmacological effects extracted from ginseng, which has been shown to have potential benefits on the cardiovascular system through a variety of mechanisms, including anti-oxidation, antiinflammatory, regulation of vasodilation, reduction of platelet adhesion, influence of calcium ion channels, improvement of lipid distribution, involving in glucose metabolism and controlling blood *** review reviewed the protective effects of G-Rb_(1) on CCVDs and its potential mechanisms, such as atherosclerosis(AS), hypertension, coronary heart disease(CHD), ischemic stroke(IS) and periocular microvascular retinopathy. Finally, we reviewed and reported the results of in vivo and in vitro experiments using G-Rb_(1) to improve CCVDs, highlighted its efficacy, safety, and limitations.

Transcriptome Analysis of Inflorescence development at the Five-Leaf Stage in Castor(Ricinus communis L.)

The yield of castor is influenced by the type of inflorescence and the proportion of female ***,there are few studies on the genetic mechanism involved in the development and differentiation of castor *** this study,we performed transcriptomic analyses of three different phenotypes of inflorescences at the five-leaf *** comparison to the MI(complete pistil without willow leaves),290 and 89 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were found in the SFI(complete pistil with willow leaves)and the BI(monoecious inflorescence),*** the DEGs,104 and 88 were upregulated in the SFI and BI,respectively,compared to the *** addition,186 DEGs and 1 DEG were downregulated in the SFI and BI compared to the ***,we conducted GO and KEGG enrichment analyses of the *** comparison to the MI,the SFI and BI exhibited the enrichment of functional branches in DEGs,specifically in pollen wall assembly,pollen development,and cellular component assembly involved in *** our study,RADL5 showed low expression levels between SFI-vs.-MI *** addition,we found that the expression of NAC in the SFI differed from that in MI and BI,and some genes related to hormonal signaling changed their expression levels during inflorescence *** results reveal the genetic mechanism of sex genotypes in castor,which will not only guide researchers in the breeding of castor but also provide a reference for genetic research on other flowering plants.

Hot dry rock(HDR)is a kind of clean energy with significant *** the 1970s,the United States,Japan,France,Australia,and other countries have attempted to conduct several HDR development research projects to extract thermal energy by breaking through key ***,up to now,the development of HDR is still in the research,development,and demonstration *** HDR exploration borehole(with 236℃ at a depth of 3705 m)was drilled into Triassic granite in the Gonghe Basin in northwest China in ***,China Geological Survey(CGS)launched the HDR resources exploration and production demonstration project in *** three years of efforts,a sequence of significant technological breakthroughs have been made,including the genetic model of deep heat sources,directional drilling and well completion in high-temperature hard rock,large-scale reservoir stimulation,reservoir characterization,and productivity evaluation,reservoir connectivity and flow circulation,efficient thermoelectric conversion,monitoring,and geological risk assessment,*** the whole-process technological system for HDR exploration and production has been preliminarily established *** first power generation test was completed in November *** results of this project will provide scientific support for HDR development and utilization in the future.
