This paper aims to conduct a comprehensive exergoeconomic analysis of a novel zero-carbon-emission multi-generation system and propose a fast optimization method combined with machine learning.The detailed exergoeconomic analysis of a novel combined power,freshwater and cooling multi-generation system is performed in this study.The exergoeconomic analysis model is established by exergy flow theory.A comprehensive exergy,exergoeconomic and environmental analysis is carried out.Five critical decision variables are researched to bring out effects on the multi-generation system exergoeconomic performance.A novel fast optimization method combining genetic algorithm and Bagging neural network is proposed.The advanced nature comparison is made between the proposed system and four similar cases.Results display that increasing the turbine inlet temperature can improve exergy efficiency and decrease the total product unit cost.The multi-generation system exergy destruction directly determines exergy efficiency and total exergy destruction cost rate.The total product unit cost in the cost optimal design case is reduced by 7.7%and 25%,respectively,compared with exergy efficiency optimal design case and basic design case.Compared with four similar cases,the proposed multi-generation system has great advantages in thermodynamic performance and exergoeconomic performance.This paper can provide research methods and ideas for performance analysis and fast optimization of multi-generation system.

Lightweight aluminum(Al)alloys have been widely used in frontier fields like aerospace and automotive industries,which attracts great interest in additive manufacturing(AM)to process high-value Al parts.As a mainstream AM technique,laser-directed energy deposition(LDED)shows good scalability to meet the requirements for large-format component manufacturing and repair.However,LDED Al alloys are highly challenging due to their inherent poor printability(e.***.low laser absorption,high oxidation sensitivity and cracking tendency).To further promote the development of LDED high-performance Al alloys,this review offers a deep understanding of the challenges and strategies to improve printability in LDED Al alloys.The porosity,cracking,distortion,inclusions,element evaporation and resultant inferior mechanical properties(worse than laser powder bed fusion)are the key challenges in LDED Al alloys.Processing parameter optimizations,in-situ alloy design,reinforcing particle addition and field assistance are the efficient approaches to improving the printability and performance of LDED Al alloys.The underlying correlations between processes,alloy innovation,characteristic microstructures,and achievable performances in LDED Al alloys are discussed.The benchmark mechanical properties and primary strengthening mechanism of LDED Al alloys are summarized.This review aims to provide a critical and in-depth evaluation of current progress in LDED Al alloys.Future opportunities and perspectives in LDED high-performance Al alloys are also outlined.

Apatite Geochemical and Nd Isotopic Insights into Trachyte Petrogenesis in the Tianchi Volcanic Area of Changbai Mountain,NE China

We report the oxide,element geochemistry and Nd isotopic geochemical data of apatite in the middle Pleistocene medium-and fine-grained trachyte in the Tianchi volcanic area(TVA)of Changbai Mountain,discussing the relationship between apatite and the composition of the whole rock.The purpose is to use the apatite geochemical data to constrain the evolutionary process of trachytic magma and the petrogenesis of trachyte in the cone-forming period of the Tianchi volcano.Apatite(Ca_(5)(PO_(4))_(3)(OH,F,Cl))is a common accessory mineral that occurs widely in volcanic rocks in the TVA.The apatites in the trachyte are mainly subhedral-anhedral,having the characteristics of magmatic apatite.In terms of oxide and element geochemistry,they have homogeneous Al_(2)O_(3),SiO_(2),MgO,P_(2)O_(5),K_(2)O,CaO and heterogeneous TiO2,with high F content.They are generally enriched in Th,U and LREEs,depleted in Nb,Ta,Zr,Hf and HFSEs,showing negative Ba,Sr and Ti anomalies,similar to those of the whole-rock host trachytes.The ratios of high(La/Yb)_(N),low δEu(Eu/Eu*),Sr/Y value and ΣREE content in apatite,and the F,Sr,Y,Th/U,La/Sm,and Nd/Tb with ΣREE andδEu anomalies showed a linear correlation,all of those indicating that the host magma has the characteristic of high differentiation.The apatite grains generally having ^(147)Sm/^(144)Nd,^(143)Nd/^(144)Nd ratios and ε_(Nd)(t)values of 0.1072-0.1195,0.5123-0.5126 and -3.49 to -0.10,respectively,are similiar to those of the host rock.The Nd model ages TDM1 are 949-803 Ma in apatite.Combined with theεNd(t)value of the apatite core(-7.06 to-3.49),we conclude that the initial magma of the host trachyte was derived from the partial melting of Proterozoic crustal material and there was an assimilation of wall rocks during its evolution.

High-density electrical method has been proved to be an effective method for probing shallow sedimentary layers.It is principally used to identify the boundary between the Quaternary soil layer and bedrock according to the vertical change of apparent resistivity.However,the artificial filling layer has the characteristics of heterogeneity and high porosity,which makes it challenging to detect the artificial filling layer by high-density electrical method.The key to solve this problem is to detect the difference of conductivity between the filling layer and the underlying bedrock.This paper takes the land in Chengjiangshan area of Huaibei City,Anhui Province as the detection target.On the basis of fully analyzing the physical properties of the artificial filling layer,two-dimensional high-density electrical survey and inversion are used to define the thickness of the artificial filling layer.The research shows that the highdensity resistivity method has obvious advantages in delineating the distribution of bedrock and the thickness of the filling layer,and the reliability of the high-density electrical method in the detection of the artificial filling layer,and delineates the scope of the filling layer is verified by the borehole data.

Static electricity has an important effect on gas–solid fluidized bed reactor fluidization performance.In the process of fluidization,electrostatic interaction between particles will obviously accelerate particle agglomerate formation,which consequently reduces the fluidization performance.Pulsed gas flow injection is an efficient method to enhance particle mixing,thereby weakening the occurrence of particle agglomerate.In this study,the two-dimensional hybrid pulsed fluidized bed is established.The flow characteristics are studied by using the coupled CFD-DEM numerical simulation model considering electrostatic effects.Influences of different pulsed frequencies and gas flow ratios on fluidized bed fluidization performance are investigated to obtain the optimal pulsed gas flow condition.Results show that in the presence of static electricity,the bubble generation position is lower,which is conducive to the particle flow.Pulsed gas flow can increase the particle velocity and improve the diffusion ability.The bubble generation time is different at different frequencies,and the frequency of 2.5 Hz has the most obvious effect on the flow characteristics.Different gas flow ratios have significant impacts on the particle movement amplitude.When the pulse gas flow accounts for a large ratio,the particle agglomerate tends to be larger.Therefore,in order to improve the fluidization effect,the ratio of pulsed gas flow to stable gas flow should be appropriately reduced to 0.5 or less.

BACKGROUND Small-cell lung cancer(SCLC)is a type of fatal tumor that is increasing in prevalence.While these are unpleasant facts to consider,it is vitally important to be informed,and it is important to catch the disease early.Typically,lung cancer does not show severe clinical symptoms in the early stage.Once lung cancer has progressed,patients might present with classical symptoms of respiratory system dysfunction.Thus,the prognosis of SCLC is closely related to the early diagnosis of the disease.Ectopic adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH)syndrome(EAS)is related to cancer occurrence,especially for SCLC with the presence of Cushing's syndrome,which is dependent on markedly elevated ACTH and cortisol levels.CASE SUMMARY In the current report,we describe two middle-age patients who were originally diagnosed with diabetes mellitus with no classical symptoms of lung cancer.The patients were eventually diagnosed with SCLC,which was confirmed by bronchoscopic biopsy and histopathology.SCLC-associated diabetes was related to EAS,which was an endogenous ACTH-dependent form of Cushing’s syndrome with elevated ACTH and cortisol levels.Multiple organ metastases were found in Patient 1,while Patient 2 retained good health at 2 years follow-up.EAS symptoms including thyroid dysfunction,hypercortisolism and glucose intolerance were all resolved after anticancer treatment.CONCLUSION In conclusion,SCLC might start with diabetes mellitus and increased cortisol and hypokalemia or other EAS symptoms.These complex clinical features were the most significant factors to deteriorate a patient’s condition.Early diagnosis and treatment from clinicians were essential for the anti-cancer treatment for patients with SCLC.

Impacts of increasing maize stalk retention amount on soil respiration and temperature sensitivity

Conservation tillage with maize stalk retention is an effective method to replenish soil nutrients.Nutrient availability plays a major role in the control of soil respiration(SR).However,it is not known how different degrees of maize stalk retention control SR and its temperature sensitivity(Q_(10)).To investigate the effect of maize stalk retention amount on SR and Q_(10),four maize(Zea mays L.)stalk retention treatments,including(i)control treatment(CT)without maize stalk retention,(ii)standing maize stalk retention(SCR),(iii)partial maize stalk retention with‘three-year cycle’(TYR)and(iv)chopped maize stalk retention(CCR)was set up.In order to investigate the differences in soil nutrient,soil organic carbon(SOC)quality and soil microbial biomass among four treatments,soil analysis with 6 replicates was conducted.The experimental results showed that SR rates were 1.07,0.88,0.59 and 0.37 g/kg of dry soil,and the average Q_(10)was 1.535,1.585,1.62 and 1.725 for CT,SCR,TYR and CCR,respectively.Increasing maize stalk retention led to the reduction of soil microbial abundance and labile carbon compositions.Pearson correlation analysis showed that soil microbial abundance had a positive correlation with SR,while labile carbon fraction had a negative correlation with Q_(10).In short,increasing the amount of maize stalk retention decreases SR while increasing Q_(10)in northeast China.This research could provide a reference value for balancing carbon sequestration and carbon decomposition in farming practice.
