Soil resistivity is one of the key indicators of the corrosive classification assessment on metal materials in soil environment. This paper presents variance characters of various quantity of soil resistivity samples data based on the semi-variance function methods of Geo-statistical Analysis by analyzing the regional soil resistivity sampling data in Daqing area. Furthermore, the variance of the soil resistivity as well as entire soil circumstance due to different sampling amounts are also analyzed and compared by means of using the characteristic parameters of the semi-variance function. In addition, this work also studied the rational sampling quantities according to various measurement errors required and evaluated the local soil corrosivity on carbon steel based on the actual measuring data in this area.

Arsenic(As)and antimony(Sb)are usually coexistent in mine wastes and pose a great threat to human *** As immobilization by nano zero-valent iron(n ZVI)is promising,however,the stabilization for co-occurring As and Sb is not ***,the immobilization and transformation of As and Sb in n ZVI-treated sediments were evaluated using complementary leaching experiments and characterization *** sediment samples from a gold-antimony deposit revealed the co-existence of ultrahigh As and Sb at 50.3 and 14.9 g/kg,*** results show that As was more efficiently stabilized by n ZVI than Sb,which was primarily due to the soluble fraction that was readily absorbed by n ZVI of As was *** the n ZVI treatment proceeds,the oxidation and reduction of As and Sb occur simultaneously as evidenced by XPS *** primary oxidant,hydroxyl radicals,was detected by EPR studies,proving the occurrence of n ZVI induced Fenton *** study sheds light on differences in the interaction and immobilization of n ZVI with Sb and As in co-contaminated sediments.

The bimodulus material is a classical model to describe the elastic behavior of materials with tension-compression *** to the inherently nonlinear properties of bimodular materials,traditional iteration methods suffer from low convergence efficiency and poor adaptability for large-scale structures in *** this paper,a novel 3D algorithm is established by complementing the three shear moduli of the constitutive equation in principal stress *** contrast to the existing 3D shear modulus constructed based on experience,in this paper the shear modulus is derived theoretically through a limit ***,a theoretically self-consistent complemented algorithm is established and implemented in ABAQUS via UMAT;its good stability and convergence efficiency are verified by using benchmark *** analysis shows that the calculation error for bimodulus structures using the traditional linear elastic theory is large,which is not in line with reality.

An approach for time-evolving sound speed profiles tracking in shallow water is discussed. The inversion of time-evolving sound speed profiles is modeled as a state-space estimation problem, which includes a state equation for predicting the time-evolving sound speed profile and a measurement equation for incorporating local acoustic measurements. In the paper, auto-regression （AR） method is introduced to obtain a high-order AR evolution model of the sound speed field time variations, and the ensemble Kalman filter is utilized to track the sound speed field. To validate the approach, the accuracy in sound speed estimation is analyzed via a numerical implementation using the ASIAEX experimental environment and the sound velocity measurement data. Compared with traditional approaches based on the state evolution represented as a random walk, simulation results show the proposed AR method can effectively reduce the tracking errors of sound speed, and still keep good tracking performance at low signal-to-noise ratios.

Approach to increasing the quality of pressure-relieved gas drained from protected coal seam using surface borehole and its industrial application

During mining of lower protective coal seam, a surface borehole can efficiently extract not only the pressure-relieved gas from the protected layer, but also the gas from the mining layer gob. If the distance between the borehole and gob is too large, the quantity of gas drained from the protected layer decreases substantially. To solve this problem, a mathematical model for extracting pressure-relieved gas from a protected coal seam using a surface borehole was established, based on the radial gas flow theory and law of conservation of energy. The key factors influencing the quantity of gas and the drainage flow network using a surface borehole were presented. The results show that the quantity of pressure-relieved gas drained from the protected layer can be significantly increased by increasing the flow resistance of the borehole bottom. Application of this method in the Wulan Coal Mine of the Shenhua group significantly increased the flow of pure gas and the gas concentration （by factors of 1.8 and 2.0, respectively）, thus demonstrating the remarkable effects of this method.

Surface modification of polyolefin separators for lithium ion batteries to reduce thermal shrinkage without thickness increase

Surface chemical modification of polyolefin separators for lithium ion batteries is attempted to reduce the thermal shrinkage, which is im- portant for the battery energy density. In this study, we grafted organic/inorganic hybrid crosslinked networks on the separators, simply by grafting polymerization and condensation reaction. The considerable silicon-oxygen crosslinked heat-resistance networks are responsible for the reduced thermal shrinkage. The strong chemical bonds between networks and separators promise enough mechanical support even at high temperature. The shrinkage at 150 ℃ for 30 min in the mechanical direction was 38.6% and 4.6% for the pristine and present graft-modified separators, respectively. Meanwhile, the grafting organic-inorganic hybrid crosslink networks mainly occupied part of void in the internal pores of the separators, so the thicknesses of the graft-modified separators were similar with the pristine one. The half cells prepared with the modified separators exhibited almost identical electrochemical properties to those with the commercial separators, thus proving that, in order to enhance the thermal stability of lithium ion battery, this kind of grafting-modified separators may be a better alternative to conventional silica nanoparticle layers-coated polyolefin separators.
