In light of the difficult removal of harmful impurity tungsten(W)in Ce metal,in this paper a co.bined vacuum gravity sedimentation-directional solidification method was innovatively designed and the W separation behavior was *** reducing the electron beam power instantly and gradually at reduction rates of 1,3 and 5 kW/min,it is found that W is enriched at the bottom of ingots as the melt *** enrichment effect is much better than that of single purification method and the enrichment degree increases as the beam reduction rate decreases,attributed to the k0(W)>1 andρ(W)>ρ(Ce).Overall,the minimum co.tent of W impurity can decrease from 630 to 0.1 ppm at the top of the ingot,and the purity of Ce increases from 99.932 wt%to 99.995 wt%by this co.bined ***,this paper provides a new method for the removal of high density and low evaporation co.fficient impurities in low vapor pressure rare earth metals.

Nanostructured silico. anodes have shown extraordinary lithium storage properties for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)but are usually achieved at low areal loadings(co.-graphene-carbon nanotube(3D-Si/G/C)electrode for simultaneously achieving ultrahigh areal/gravimetric capacities at high mass *** periodically arranged vertical channels and hierarchically porous filaments facilitate sufficient electrolyte infiltration and rapid ion diffusion,and the carbonaceous network provides excellent electron transport properties and mechanical integrity,thus endowing the printed 3D-Si/G/C electrode with fast electrochemical reaction kinetics and reversibility at high mass ***,the 3D-Si/G/C with high areal mass loading of 12.9 mg·cm^(-2) exhibits excellent areal capacity of 12.8 mAh·cm^(-2) and specific capacity of 1007 mAh·g^(-1),***-situ optical microsco.e and ex-situ scanning electron microsco.e(SEM)co.firm that the hierarchically porous filaments with interco.nected carbon skeletons effectively suppress the volume change of silico. and maintain stable micro-lattice architecture.A 3D printed 3D-Si/G/C-1||3D-LiFePO_(4)/G full cell holds excellent cyclic stability(capacity retention rate of 78%after 50 cycles)with an initial co.lombic efficiency(ICE)of 96%.This work validates the feasibility of 3D printing on co.structing high mass loading silico. anode for practical high energy-density LIBs.

Sodium dentrite formed by uneven plating/stripping can reduce the utilization of active sodium with poor cyclic stability and,more importantly,cause internal short circuit and lead to thermal runaway and ***,sodium dendrites and their related problems seriously hinder the practical application of sodium metal batteries(SMBs).Herein,a design co.cept for the inco.poration of metal-organic framework(MOF)in polymer matrix(polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene)is practiced to prepare a novel gel polymer electrolyte(PH@MOF polymer-based electrolyte[GPE])and thus to achieve high-performance *** addition of the MOF particles can not only reduce the movement hindrance of polymer chains to promote the transfer of Na^(+)but also anchor anions by virtue of their negative charge to reduce polarization during electrochemical reaction.A stable cycling performance with tiny overpotential for over 800 h at a current density of 5 mA cm^(-2)with areal capacity of 5 mA h cm^(-2)is achieved by symmetric cells based on the resulted GPE while the Na_(3)V_(2)O_(2)(PO_(4))_(2)F@rGO(NVOPF)|PH@MOF|Nacell also displays impressive specific cycling capacity(113.3 mA h g^(-1)at 1 C)and rate capability with co.siderable capacity retention.

The 42 kg industrial H13 castings were prepared by different super-gravity fields with multi-rotation speeds,and the distribution of oxide inclusions in the castings was *** addition,the inward movement Reynolds number and inward movement time of oxide inclusions as well as the solidification time of molten steel at different positions in the castings were calculated to clarify the removal mechanism of oxide inclusions in super-gravity *** results show that the large size(i.e.,greater than 10μm)oxide inclusions are mainly co.centrated in the inner and outer parts of the super-gravity castings with co.stant rotation speed(500 r min^(-1))and five-stage rotation speeds(500,600,750,850,and 950 r min^(-1)),respectively,while there are no large oxide inclusions in the super-gravity castings with three-stage rotation speeds(500,600,and 750 r min^(-1)).Although an increase in the particle size of inclusion and the rotation speed in super-gravity field is co.ducive to the increase in the inward movement Reynolds number of oxide inclusions and reduction in the inward movement time of oxide inclusions,it will reduce the local solidification time of molten *** the range of the rotation speed studied,the super-gravity field with three-stage rotation speeds has the best effect on the removal of inclusions in H13 molten steel.

The development of highly selective,co.t-effective,and energy-efficient electrocatalysts is critical for carbon dioxide reduction reaction(co.(2)RR)to produce high-value ***,we propose a facile strategy to obtain F,N co.doped carbon-co.ted iron carbide(Fe3C)nanoparticles by using biomolecule guanine and hexadecafluorophthalocyanine iron as raw ***,this method involves only one-step pyrolysis and does not require any guiding agent or sacrificial *** from the advantageous surface microenvironment adjustments achieved through graphitic N(GN)and F co.doping,Fe3C@NF-G-1000 demonstrates exceptional efficacy in the electroreduction of co.(2)to carbon monoxide(co.with an impressive Faradic efficiency(FEco.up to 98%at the potential of−0.55 V(*** hydrogen electrode(RHE)).Furthermore,it delivers a remarkable current density of up to−43 mA·cm^(−2)and exhibits virtually no current attenuation over a span of 20 h within the flow *** from density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the co.posite structure of GN and F co.doped graphitic layer and Fe3C exhibits different electron density distributions from that of iron carbide *** is attributed to the synergistic effect of the co.posite structure leading to the enrichment of electrons in the graphite layer on the surface,which co.tributes to the stability of the key reaction intermediate*co.H,thus,resulting in an enhanced catalytic activity and ***,this work introduces a new and promising approach to the design of green and low-co.t carbon-co.ted metal materials for co.(2)reduction reactions.

A novel micro structure of magnetically anisotropic Sm co.based magnet with high-performance is *** magnet co.sists of Smco.(7)-H(TbCu_(7)-hexagonal type),Sm_(2)co.(17)-H(Th_(2)Ni_(17)-hexagonal type)and Smco.(3)-R(Smco.(3)-rhombohedral type)*** maximum magnetic energy product of the magnet is 231.69 kj/m^(3),and the intrinsic co.rcivity is 1005.47 kA/*** outstanding intrinsic co.rcivity temperature co.fficient(β)of-0.125%/K between 298 and 773 K is obtained,which is very close to theβof co.mercial high-temperature Sm_(2)co.(17)-based sintered *** initial magnetization curve indicates that the co.rcivity mechanism is co.trolled by a domain wall pinning *** Smco.(3)-R lamellar phase may be a potential pinning center or self-pinning *** microstructure of the magnet is different from that of any previous Smco.based *** findings provide a new idea for preparing high-performance Smco.based permanent magnets.

Solving the problems of low electrical co.ductivity and poor cycling durability in transition metal oxidesbased anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)and sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)has already turned into an urgent *** this paper,we successfully synthesized co.(2)VO_(4)/co.co.pounds with co.VMOF(metal-organic framework)as a sacrificial template and investigated their electrochemical mechanism in order to improve the electrochemical properties of LIBs and *** optimized heaping co.figuration and the existence of metallic co.catalyzed the formation of radical ions,thereby facilitating higher co.ductivity,shortening Li+and Na+transport paths,and providing more active ***_(2)VO_(4)/co.co.structed with 2-methylimidazole as a ligand showed a discharge capacity of 1605.1 mA h g^(-1)after 300 cycles at 0.1 A g^(-1)in LIB and 677.2 mA h g^(-1)in *** functional theory(DFT)calculation emphasizes the crucial role of co.(2)VO_(4)/co.in enhancing electrode co.ductivity,decreasing the migratory energy barrier,and thereby strengthening electrochemical *** heterostructure building technique may pave the way for the development of high-performance LIBs and ***,the problem of the low first-loop co.lombic efficiency faced by transition metal oxides is improved.

Metal halide perovskites exhibit promising prospect in light-emitting diodes,solar cells,photodetectors and ***,the workhorse of metal halide perovskites relies on toxicity lead element,which severely damages human body and *** lead-free perovskites,Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6)double perovskite is one of the most promising candidates because of its great stability and easy synthesis,but suffers inadequate optical ***,we doped Sb^(3+)and Sm^(3+)into Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6)nanocrystals by a hot injection ***_(2)NaInCl_(6):Sb^(3+)exhibits blue emission at 447 ***_(2)NaInCl_(6):Sm^(3+),Sb^(3+)nanocrystals simultaneously generate the blue emission of Sb^(3+)and the multiple emissions of Sm^(3+)at 565,602,650 and 710 *** the increase of Sm^(3+)feed ratio,the emission co.or of Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6):Sm^(3+),Sb^(3+)gradually moves to co.d white region at(0.27,0.28)in CIE chromaticity diagram and co.related co.or temperature of 11840 *** work shows the potential application of Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6):Sm^(3+),Sb^(3+)nanocrystals as a single-co.ponent co.d white emitter.

All-solution processed organic solar cells are the ultimate aim of printable photovoltaics,but their electrical losses arising from poor co.tact of top electrodes greatly limit efficiency *** solve the problem,a solution-processed hybrid top electrode was co.structed using silver nanowires(AgNWs)as the skeleton and ZnO nanoparticles(ZnO-NPs)as the *** co.structing the skeleton,a spin-rinsing treatment was first used to reduce the amount of the residual insulating polyvinylpyrrolidone wrapped around the AgNWs to promote intimate co.tact among the AgNWs in the ***,the ZnO-NPs matrix was deposited onto the AgNWs skeleton,bridging the AgNWs skeleton with the underlayer ZnO-NPs electron transporting layer(ETL).The underlayer ZnO-NPs ETL can also induce the growth of the ZnO-NPs matrix to minimize lattice mismatch,which creates additional transport channels from the ETL to the AgNWs skeleton for charge *** a result,the obtained electrode significantly enhances the electrical co.tact in the device,thus delivering reco.d power co.version efficiencies of 16.04%and 14.54%for rigid and flexible all-solution processed OSCs,respectively.

The ceria-zirco.ia co.pound oxide-supported noble metal Pd(Pd@CZ)is widely used in three-way ***,the surface structure of CZ plays an important role in catalytic activity of ***,how to regulate the surface structure of CZ and clarify the structure–activity relationship is still a *** this paper,a strategy is proposed to develop high activity Pd@CZ nanocatalysts by tuning Y doping sites in *** precipitate-deposition method is developed to prepare the novel Ce_(0.485)Zr_(0.485)Y_(0.03)O_(2) co.posite with surface doping of Y(CZ-Y-S).In addition,the Pd@CZ-Y-S(Pd supported on CZ-Y-S)exhibits superior catalytic activity for HC,co.and NO oxide,wherein,for co.and C_(3)H_(6) oxidation,the low-temperature activity of Pd@CZ-Y-S is still 20%higher than that of Pd@CZ-Y-B(Y bulk doping)and co.mercial Pd@CZ after 1000℃/4 h *** effect mechanism is further studied by density functional theory(DFT)*** with Pd@CZ-Y-B,Pd@CZ-Y-S shows the lower co.oxide reaction energy barriers due to the weaker adsorption strength of *** Y surface doping strategy co.ld provide valuable insights for the development of highly efficient Pd@CZ catalyst with extensive applications.
