为研究鲤Cyprinus carpio生物扰动作用对池塘底质甲烷生成的影响机制,通过室内模拟实验,测定了底质产甲烷潜力、产甲烷菌生物群落组成及产甲烷菌群间的互作效应。结果显示,与对照组相比,鲤扰动组底质产甲烷潜力显著降低,鲤的生物扰动作用促使底质总细菌和总古菌丰度显著升高,而产甲烷功能基因mcrA的丰度显著降低。养殖池塘底质产甲烷功能菌优势菌群主要为Methanobacterium、Methanothrix、Methanoregula和Methanocella,鲤的生物扰动作用改变了产甲烷功能菌的群落结构组成和产甲烷途径,使得产甲烷菌属间共生网络平均度和连接数显著降低,模块化更高,共生网络关系变得更为简单且以负相关种间竞争关系共存。Pearson相关性分析表明,底质氧化还原电位是影响mcrA基因丰度和产甲烷菌群结构的关键环境因子。鲤的生物扰动作用可能通过提升底质氧化还原电位,降低产甲烷功能菌群丰度和种间互作而降低底质甲烷产生潜力。

Introduction:Understanding the differences in carbon and water vapor fluxes of spatially distributed evergreen needleleaf forests(ENFs)is crucial for accurately estimating regional or global carbon and water budgets and when predicting the responses of ENFs to current and future ***:We co.pared the fluxes of ten AmeriFlux ENF sites to investigate cross-site variability in net eco.ystem exchange of carbon(NEE),gross primary production(GPP),and evapotranspiration(ET).We used wavelet cross-co.relation analysis to examine responses of NEE and ET to co.mon climatic drivers over multiple timescales and also determined optimum values of air temperature(T_(a))and vapor pressure deficit(VPD)for NEE and ***:We found larger differences in the NEE spectra than in the ET spectra across sites,demonstrating that spatial(site-to-site)variability was larger for NEE than for *** NEE and ET were deco.pled differently across ENF sites because the wavelet co.pectra between ET and climate variables were similar at all sites,while the wavelet co.pectra between NEE and climate variables were higher(i.e.,closer co.pling between NEE and climatic drivers)in semi-arid and Mediterranean sites than in other *** water use efficiency(EWUE)based on annual GPP/ET ranged from 1.3±0.18 to 4.08±0.62 g C mm^(−1) ET,while EWUE based on annual net eco.ystem production(NEP)/ET ranged from 0.06±0.04 to 1.02±0.16 g C mm^(−1) ET)among *** of NEE and ET to T_(a) varied across climatic *** particular,for ENF sites in semi-arid and Mediterranean climates,the maximum NEE and ET occurred at lower ranges of T_(a) than in sites with warm and humid *** optimum T_(a) and VPD values were higher for ET than for NEE,and ET was less sensitive to high values of T_(a) and ***:Large spatial variability in carbon and water vapor fluxes among ENFs and large variations in responses of NEE and ET to major climate variables among climatic zones necessitate sub-

As people live longer, the burden of aging-related brain diseases, especially dementia, is increasing. Brain aging increases the risk of co.nitive impairment, which manifests as a progressive loss of neuron function caused by the impairment of synaptic plasticity via disrupting lipid homeostasis. Therefore, supplemental dietary lipids have the potential to prevent brain aging. This review summarizes the important roles of dietary lipids in brain function from both structure and mechanism perspectives. Epidemiological and animal studies have provided evidence of the functions of polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFAs) in brain health. The results of interventions indicate that phospholipids-including phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, and plasmalogen-are efficient in alleviating co.nitive impairment during aging, with plasmalogen exhibiting higher efficacy than phosphatidylserine. Plasmalogen is a reco.nized nutrient used in clinical trials due to its special vinyl ether bonds and abundance in the postsynaptic membrane of neurons. Future research should determine the dose-dependent effects of plasmalogen in alleviating brain-aging diseases and should develop extraction and storage procedures for its clinical application.

Human life intimately depends on plants for food,biomaterials,health,energy,and a sustainable *** plants have been genetically improved mostly through breeding,along with limited modification via genetic engineering,yet they are still not able to meet the ever-increasing needs,in terms of both quantity and quality,resulting from the rapid increase in world population and expected standards of living.A step change that may address these challenges would be to expand the potential of plants using biosystems design *** represents a shift in plant science research from relatively simple trial-and-error approaches to innovative strategies based on predictive models of biological *** biosystems design seeks to accelerate plant genetic improvement using genome editing and genetic circuit engineering or create novel plant systems through de novo synthesis of plant *** this perspective,we present a co.prehensive roadmap of plant biosystems design co.ering theories,principles,and technical methods,along with potential applications in basic and applied plant biology *** highlight current challenges,future opportunities,and research priorities,along with a framework for international co.laboration,towards rapid advancement of this emerging interdisciplinary area of ***,we discuss the importance of social responsibility in utilizing plant biosystems design and suggest strategies for improving public perception,trust,and acceptance.

Aging biomarkers are a co.bination of biological parameters to(i)assess age-related changes,(ii)track the physiological aging process,and(iii)predict the transition into a pathological *** a broad spectrum of aging biomarkers has been developed,their potential uses and limitations remain poorly *** immediate goal of biomarkers is to help us answer the following three fundamental questions in aging research:How old are we?Why do we get old?And how can we age slower?This review aims to address this ***,we summarize our current knowledge of biomarkers developed for cellular,organ,and organismal levels of aging,co.prising six pillars:physiological characteristics,medical imaging,histological features,cellular alterations,molecular changes,and secretory *** fulfill all these requisites,we propose that aging biomarkers should qualify for being specific,systemic,and clinically relevant.
