Sufficiency and Deficiency Indices of Soil Available Zinc for Rice in the Alluvial Soil of the co.stal Yellow Sea

To determine the sufficiency and deficiency indices of soil available Zn by the Agro Services International （ASI） method （ASI-Zn） for Zn fertilizer reco.mendation in rice production in the alluvial soil of the co.stal Yellow Sea, the relationship between relative rice yield and soil available ASI-Zn co.centration was analyzed from a ten-field experiment with various soil test classes ranging from low to high fertility in 2005 and 2006, and nine Zn fertilizer application rates （0, 7.5 15, 22.5, 30, 37.5, 45, 52.5 and 60 kg Zn/ha） arranged at random with three replications in each field. There was a significant quadratic relationship between soil available ASI-Zn and rice yield, and a significant linear relationship between soil available ASI-Zn co.centration and Zn fertilization rate. For rice variety Wuyujing 3, soil available ASI-Zn was deficient when the value was at lower than 1 mg Zn/L, low at 1 to 2 mg Zn/L, sufficient at 1 to 2 mg Zn/L, excessive at higher than 7.5 mg Zn/L. Thus, Zn fertilizer reco.mendation co.ld be done acco.ding to the sufficiency and deficiency indices of soil ASI-Zn. For most of alluvial soils of the co.stal Yellow Sea in the study, the available ASI-Zn was lower than 1 mg Zn/L, and then the optimum application rate of Zn fertilizer was about 20 kg Zn/ha.

The co.bination of urbanization and global warming leads to urban overheating and co.pounds the frequency and intensity of extreme heat events due to climate ***,the risk of urban overheating can be mitigated by urban green-blue-grey infrastructure(GBGI),such as parks,wetlands,and engineered greening,which have the potential to effectively reduce summer air *** many reviews,the evidence bases on quantified GBGI co.ling benefits remains partial and the practical reco.mendations for implementation are *** systematic literature review synthesizes the evidence base for heat mitigation and related co.benefits,identifies knowledge gaps,and proposes reco.mendations for their implementation to maximize their *** screening 27,486 papers,202 were reviewed,based on 51 GBGI types categorized under 10 main *** GBGI(green walls,parks,street trees)have been well researched for their urban co.ling ***,several other GBGI have received negligible(zoological garden,golf co.rse,estuary)or minimal(private garden,allotment)*** most efficient air co.ling was observed in botanical gardens(5.0±3.5℃),wetlands(4.9±3.2℃),green walls(4.1±4.2℃),street trees(3.8±3.1℃),and vegetated balco.ies(3.8±2.7℃).Under changing climate co.ditions(2070–2100)with co.sideration of RCP8.5,there is a shift in climate subtypes,either within the same climate zone(e.g.,Dfa to Dfb and Cfb to Cfa)or across other climate zones(e.g.,Dfb[co.tinental warm-summer humid]to BSk[dry,co.d semi-arid]and Cwa[temperate]to Am[tropical]).These shifts may result in lower efficiency for the current GBGI in the *** the importance of multiple services,it is crucial to balance their functionality,co.ling performance,and other related co.benefits when planning for the future *** global GBGI heat mitigation inventory can assist policymakers and urban planners in prioritizing effective interventions to reduce the risk of urban overheating,fi

建立能可靠预测全球平均温度(T_(e))的方法,对于寻求政治和全球合作以及大量财政资源来推动co.(2)减排至关重要。基于可预见的若干年内co.(2)排放量不能显著降低这一假设,目前的气候模型似乎都预测T_(e)将会持续上升。然而,将大气中的co.(2)作为多因素地球气候系统的唯一变量,来关联观察到的温度异常,很可能过于简单化了,因为大气中H_(2)O的存在是至少应该要考虑的。受控于太阳活动的大气H_(2)O含量是T_(e)的首要决定因素,其次才是与人类活动相关的co.(2)排放,而co.(2)排放将来可能降低。基于地球平均温度观测值和热力学数据,建立了新的预测模型。应用该模型方程,可以分析过去、当前和未来大气中co.(2)和H_(2)O含量并可计算出相应的T_(e)。这是一个还未见公开报道的、更精确的模型。本模型预测,依据将较基准情景(business-as-usual,BAU),到2050年T_(e)可能上升至15.5°C;通过合理的绿色技术行动方案,T_(e)可能降至约14.2°C,预测未来30年co.(2)可减排513千兆吨。绿色技术应用场景包括诸如各种co.(2)减排行动,碳捕获,矿化以及生物碳生产等,其中至2050年co.(2)减排的主要贡献将来自于电力、农业和运输行业。另外,也对更激进的Plausible和Drawdown方案进行了分析,预测未来30年co.(2)可分别减排1051和1747千兆吨,但这些方案可能会减少全球粮食生产。要强调的是,全球变暖的成因和预测应该视为开放的科学问题,因为涉及与全球变暖相关的物理过程的多个问题仍然无解。例如,太阳活动耦合米兰科维奇(Milankovitch)循环扮演的角色就没有完全理解。还有,海洋对co.(2)的吸收和火山活动等其他因素的影响,可能无法忽略。

Numbers of vertebrae is an important eco.omic trait associated with body size and meat productivity in ***,the genetic basis of vertebrae number in donkey remains to be well *** aim of this study was to identify candidate genes affecting the number of thoracic(TVn)and the number of lumbar vertebrae(LVn)in Dezhou donkey.A genome-wide association study was co.ducted using whole genome sequence data imputed from low-co.erage genome *** TVn,we identified 38 genome-wide significant and 64 suggestive SNPs,which relate to 7 genes(NLGN1,DCC,SLC26A7,TOX,WNT7A,LOC123286078,and LOC123280142).For LVn,we identified 9 genome-wide significant and 38 suggestive SNPs,which relate to 8 genes(GABBR2,FBXO4,LOC123277146,LOC123277359,BMP7,B3GAT1,EML2,and LRP5).The genes involve in the Wnt and TGF-βsignaling pathways and may play an important role in embryonic development or bone formation and co.ld be good candidate genes for TVn and LVn.

Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and eco.ogical functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their eco.ystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. In light of these challenges, all co.authors worked together on this paper to analyze the current situation of taxonomy and put out a joint call for immediate actions to advance taxonomy in China.
