BACKGROUND Peripheral regional block combined with general anesthesia might be a preferable anesthetic regimen for elderly patients undergoing total hip *** To investigate whether ultrasound-guided,direct suprainguinal injection for fascia iliaca block accelerated recovery after general anesthesia and relieved postoperative pain after total hip *** Patients who underwent total hip arthroplasty under general anesthesia in 2015 or 2019 at The Second Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University were retrospectively *** patients were grouped based on whether preoperative suprainguinal fascia iliaca block was performed or *** time to tracheal extubation and time spent in the post-anesthesia care unit(PACU),intraoperative remifentanil dosage,fentanyl consumption in the PACU,postoperative cumulative fentanyl consumption within 48 h after operation,visual analogue scale at rest and during movement on the first and second days after surgery,and adverse reactions were *** Thirty-one elderly patients who underwent total hip arthroplasty were included in the study(block group,n=16;no-block group,n=15).The visual analog scale scores at rest and during movement on the first and second days were significantly lower in the block group than in the no-block group(all P<0.05).Compared with the no-block group,the intraoperative remifentanil dosage was lower,the time to tracheal extubation and the time spent in the PACU were shorter in the block group(all P<0.01).Fentanyl consumption in the PACU and postoperative cumulative fentanyl consumption in 48 h after operation were lower in the block group(all P<0.01).The incidence of dizziness was higher in the no-block group than in the block group(P=0.037).CONCLUSION Ultrasound-guided,direct suprainguinal injection for fascia iliaca block led to faster recovery after general anesthesia and early postoperative pain relief in elderly patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty.

One of the primary goals of space-borne gravitational wave detectors is to detect and analyze extreme-mass-ratio inspirals(EMRIs). This task is particularly challenging because EMRI signals are complex, lengthy, and faint. In this work, we introduce a2-layer convolutional neural network(CNN) approach to detect EMRI signals for space-borne detectors, achieving a true positive rate(TPR) of 96.9% at a 1% false positive rate(FPR) for signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) from 50 to 100. Especially, the key intrinsic parameters of EMRIs such as the mass, spin of the supermassive black hole(SMBH) and the initial eccentricity of the orbit can also be inferred directly by employing a neural network. The mass and spin of the SMBH can be determined at 99% and 92% respectively. This will greatly reduce the parameter spaces and computing cost for the following Bayesian parameter *** model also has a low dependency on the accuracy of the waveform model. This study underscores the potential of deep learning methods in EMRI data analysis, enabling the rapid detection of EMRI signals and efficient parameter estimation.

Several promising plasma biomarker proteins,such as amyloid-β(Aβ),tau,neurofilament light chain,and glial fibrillary acidic protein,are widely used for the diagnosis of neurodegenerative ***,little is known about the long-term stability of these biomarker proteins in plasma samples stored at-80°*** aimed to explore how storage time would affect the diagnostic accuracy of these biomarkers using a large *** samples from 229 cognitively unimpaired individuals,encompassing healthy controls and those experiencing subjective cognitive decline,as well as 99 patients with cognitive impairment,comprising those with mild cognitive impairment and dementia,were acquired from the Sino Longitudinal Study on Cognitive Decline *** samples were stored at-80°C for up to 6 years before being used in this *** results showed that plasma levels of Aβ42,Aβ40,neurofilament light chain,and glial fibrillary acidic protein were not significantly correlated with sample storage ***,the level of total tau showed a negative correlation with sample storage ***,in individuals without cognitive impairment,plasma levels of total protein and tau phosphorylated protein threonine 181(p-tau181)also showed a negative correlation with sample storage *** was not observed in individuals with cognitive ***,we speculate that the diagnostic accuracy of plasma p-tau181 and the p-tau181 to total tau ratio may be influenced by sample storage ***,caution is advised when using these plasma biomarkers for the identification of neurodegenerative diseases,such as Alzheimer's ***,in cohort studies,it is important to consider the impact of storage time on the overall results.

The objective of this study was to isolate and identify a yeast strain from the kombucha beverage and evaluate its potential as a novel starter in beverage fermentation in *** davenportii Do18 was characterized for its cholesterol reduction;growth at different conditions such as temperatures(25,30,37 and 42◦C),low pH(1.2,1.5,2.03.0,and 7.0),bile salts(0%,0.25%,0.5%,1%and 2%)high-sucrose stress(2%,10%,20%,40%and 60%);and in-vitro survival in gastric and intestinal *** showed that the yeast strain has a cholesterol-lowering capacity of 45%±2%,grew at temperature of 37◦C and is resistant to pH 1.5,2%bile and 40%sucrose solution,could survive in simulated gastric and intestinal *** physicochemical characteristics of the fermented beverages were also evaluated,which indicated that the yeast has pH reduction capacity and can produce organic acids and volatile compound such as ***,the fermented beverage also has high total phenolics and flavonoids content and showed great antioxidant and antimicrobial ***,the findings of this research provide strong evidence that *** Do18 has good fermentation properties,can be a potential starter in food and beverage fermentation.

Discretization of Nonlinear Non-affine Time Delay Systems Based on Second-order Hold

When calculating the sampled-date representation of nonlinear systems second-order hold(SOH) assumption can be applied to improving the precision of the discretization results. This paper proposes a discretization method based on Taylor series and the SOH assumption for the nonlinear systems with the time delayed non-affine input. The mathematical structure of the proposed discretization method is explored. This proposed discretization method can provide a precise and finite dimensional discretization model for the nonlinear time-delayed non-affine system by keeping the truncation order of the Taylor series. The performance of the proposed discretization method is evaluated by doing the simulation using a nonlinear system with the time-delayed non-affine *** input signals, time-delay values and sampling periods are considered in the simulation to investigate the proposed *** simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method is practical and easy for time-delayed nonlinear non-affine *** comparison between SOH assumption with first-order hold(FOH) and zero-order hold(ZOH) assumptions is given to show the advantages of the proposed method.

Objective：To investigate the antioxidative effect and mechanism of luteolin on rat cardiomyocytes and isolated hearts fol owed by simulated ischemia/reperfusion（SI/R） injury. Methods：The left ventricular cardiomyocytes and the isolated hearts from adult rats were subjected to SI/R injury. The experiment groups included control, SI/R, luteolin ＋ SI/R（Lut ＋ SI/R）, vitamin E（Vit E）＋ SI/R, and LY294002 ＋ luteolin ＋ SI/R（LY ＋ Lut ＋ SI/R） groups. Cell viability, shortening amplitude, lactate dehydrogenase（LDH） release, superoxide dismutase（SOD） activity, the production of reactive oxygen species（ROS） and malondialdehyde（MDA）, expression levels of Akt, phosphorylated Akt, NOX2（gp91phox）, NOX2 m RNA, mitogen-activated protein kinase（p38 MAPK） and phosphorylated p38 MAPK were al measured after 3-h simulated ischemia and 2-h simulated reperfusion procedure in cardiomyocytes. Vit E was used as a standard control. The contractile function of isolated hearts was further observed after they were subjected to 30-min global ischemia and 120-min reperfusion. Results：Pretreatment with 8-μmol/L luteolin substantially increased cel viability and shortening amplitude, while reducing evidence of oxidative stress-induced damage in the cel s. In addition, the expression of NOX2, NOX2 m RNA and phosphorylation of p38 MAPK were al downregulated. Furthermore, pretreatment with 40-μmol/L luteolin improved the recovery of myocardial contractile function fol owing SI/R-induced injury, and luteolin markedly increased phosphorylation of Akt. However, all of the above effects were partially inhibited by the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase（PI3K） inhibitor, LY294002. Conclusions：Luteolin prevents SI/R-induced myocardial damage by reducing oxidative stress-induced injury in isolated rat hearts and cardiomyocytes, and the cardioprotection induced by luteolin was partial y mediated by the PI3K/Akt pathway.

Based on a review of the available petrological and petrochemical data on magmatic rocksin a certain region in China,the average chemical composition of them has been calculated,and the frequency distribution of elements in the rocks,the mineralization of rock bodies andthe regional geochemical characteristics have been *** response to temporal and spa-tial variations during the evolutionary process of magmatie activity,a systematic variationis obvious from this study in the chemical composition of magmatic rocks,the frequency dis-tribution patterns of elements,the concentration levels of various elements and the calc-alkaliindex of the rocks as well as in the average atamic weight and average atomic ***-ticularly,different geochemical indicators have been established for mineralized and barrenrock bodies,***-differentiation and post-magmatic metasomatism con-stitute the most important mechanism controlling mineralization.

This paper develops a modular modeling and efficient formulation of launch dynamics with marching fire(LDMF)using a mixed formulation of the transfer matrix method for multibody systems(MSTMM)and Newton-Euler *** a ground-borne multiple launch rocket systems(MLRS),the focus is on the launching subsystem comprising the rocket,flexible tube,and tube *** launching subsystem is treated as a coupled rigid-flexible multibody system,where the rocket and tube tail are treated as rigid bodies while the flexible tube as a beam with large ***,the tube and tube tail can be elegantly handled by the MSTMM,a computationally efficient order-N ***,the equation of motion of the in-bore rocket with relative kinematics *** tube using the Newton-Euler method is ***,the rocket,tube,and tube tail dynamics are coupled,yielding the equation of motion of the launching subsystem that can be regarded as a building block and further integrated with other *** deduced dynamics equation of the launching subsystem is not limited to ground-borne MLRS but also fits for tanks,self-propelled artilleries,and other air-borne and naval-borne weapons undergoing large *** simulation results of LDMF are given and partially verified by the experiment.
