The role of Power System Stabilizer (PSS) in the power system is to provide necessary damping torque to the system in order to suppress the oscillations caused by a variety of disturbances that occur frequently and maintain the stability of the system. In this paper, a PSS design technique is proposed using Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) by considering eigenvalue objective function. Two bench mark multi machine test systems: three- generator nine- bus system, two- area four- generator inter connected system working on various operating conditions are considered as case studies and tested with the proposed technique. Extensive simulation results are obtained and effectiveness of proposed WOA-PSS are compared with well - known PSO and DE based stabilizers under several disturbances.

Passive image forgery detection methods that identify forgeries without prior knowledge have become a key research *** copy-move forgery,the assailant intends to hide a portion of an image by pasting other portions of the same *** detection of such manipulations in images has great demand in legal evidence,forensic investigation,and many other *** paper aims to present copy-move forgery detection algorithms with the help of advanced feature descriptors,such as local ternary pattern,local phase quantization,local Gabor binary pattern histogram sequence,Weber local descriptor,and local monotonic pattern,and classifiers such as optimized support vector machine and optimized *** proposed algorithms can classify an image efficiently as either copy-move forged or authenticated,even if the test image is subjected to attacks such as JPEG compression,scaling,rotation,and brightness ***,CASIA,and MICC datasets and a combination of CoMoFoD and CASIA datasets images are used to quantify the performance of the proposed *** proposed algorithms are more efficient than state-of-the-art algorithms even though the suspected image is post-processed.

In this paper we propose an efcient process of physiological artifact elimination methodology from brain waves(BW),which are also commonly known as electroencephalogram(EEG)*** a clinical environment during the acquisition of BW several artifacts contaminates the actual BW *** leads to inaccurate and ambiguous *** the statistical nature of the EEG signal is more non-stationery,adaptive ltering is the more promising method for the process of artifact *** clinical conditions,the conventional adaptive techniques require many numbers of computational operations and leads to data samples overlapping and instability of the algorithm *** causes delay in diagnosis and decision *** overcome this problem in our work we propose to set a threshold value to diminish the problem of round off *** resultant adaptive algorithm based on this strategy is Non-linear Least mean square(NL2MS)***,to improve this algorithm in terms of ltering capability we perform data normalization,using this algorithm several hybrid versions are developed to improve ltering and reduce computational *** the method,a new signal enhancement unit(SEU)is realized and performance of various hybrid versions of algorithms examined using real EEG signals recorded from the *** ability of the proposed schemes is measured in terms of convergence,enhancement and multiplications *** various SEUs,the MCN2L 2MS algorithm achieves 14.6734,12.8732,10.9257,15.7790 dB during the artifact removal of RA,EMG,CSA and EBA components with only two ***,this algorithm seems to be better candidate for artifact elimination.

The technical advancement in information systems contributes towards the massive availability of the documents stored in the electronic databases such as e-mails,internet and web ***,it becomes a complex task for arranging and browsing the required *** paper proposes an approach for incremental clustering using the BatGrey Wolf Optimizer(BAGWO).The input documents are initially subjected to the pre-processing module to obtain useful keywords,and then the feature extraction is performed based on wordnet *** feature extraction,feature selection is carried out using entropy ***,the clustering is done using the proposed BAGWO *** BAGWO algorithm is designed by integrating the Bat Algorithm(BA)and Grey Wolf Optimizer(GWO)for generating the different clusters of text ***,the clustering is determined using the BAGWO algorithm,yielding the group of *** the other side,upon the arrival of a new document,the same steps of pre-processing and feature extraction are *** on the features of the test document,the mapping is done between the features of the test document,and the clusters obtained by the proposed BAGWO *** mapping is performed using the kernel-based deep point distance and once the mapping terminated,the representatives are updated based on the fuzzy-based representative *** performance of the developed BAGWO outperformed the existing techniques in terms of clustering accuracy,Jaccard coefficient,and rand coefficient with maximal values 0.948,0.968,and 0.969,respectively.

This present work is aimed to examine the effect of mass flow rate on distillate output and performance of a solar still in active *** experiments were conducted at the coastal town,Kakinada(16°93′N/83°33′E),Andhra Pradesh,India.A solar still with a 30°of fixed cover inclination,1 m2 of effective basin area,and a flat-plate collector(FPC)with an effective area of 2 m2 were *** attempt was also made earlier in passive mode to optimize the water depth for the same solar still for maximum yield and distillation *** the passive still,it is observed that the capacity of heat storage and heat drop are significant parameters that affect the still *** the selected still design,the study reveals that 0.04 m water depth is the optimum value for specific climatic *** the active solar still,with the optimum water depth,different flow rates of 0.5,1 and 1.5 L/min are considered through *** is observed that both the mass flow rate and the variation of internal heat transfer coefficients with the mass flow rate have a significant effect on the yield and performance of the *** experimental results show that the combination of 1.5 L/min mass flow rate and an optimum water depth of 0.04 m leads to a maximum yield for the active solar *** enhanced yield of the active solar still is 57.55%,compared with that of the passive solar still,due to increase in area of radiation collection and more heat absorption rate.

There are many advanced tooling approaches in metal cutting to enhance the cutting tool performance for machining hard-to-cut materials. The self propelled rotary tool （SPRT） is one of the novel approaches to improve the cutting tool performance by providing cutting edge in the form of a disk, which rotates about its principal axis and provides a rest period for the cutting edge to cool and allow engaging a fresh cutting edge with the work piece. This paper aimed to present the cutting performance of SPRT while turning hardened EN24 steel and optimize the machining conditions. Surface roughness （Ra） and metal removal rate （rMMR） are considered as machining perfor- mance parameters to evaluate, while the horizontal incli- nation angle of the SPRT, depth of cut, feed rate and spindle speed are considered as process variables. Initially, design of experiments （DOEs） is employed to minimize the number of experiments. For each set of chosen process variables, the machining experiments are conducted on computer numerical control （CNC） lathe to measure the machining responses. Then, the response surface method- ology （RSM） is used to establish quantitative relationships for the output responses in terms of the input variables. Analysis of variance （ANOVA） is used to check the adequacy of the model. The influence of input variables on the output responses is also determined. Consequently, these models are formulated as a multi-response optimi- zation problem to minimize the Ra and maximize the rMMR simultaneously. Non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II （NSGA-II） is used to derive the set of Pareto-optimal solutions. The optimal results obtained through the pro- posed methodology are also compared with the results of validation experimental runs and good correlation is found between them.
